Person Specification

Key Responsibilities
Philanthropy Events
- Work closely with team members to organise and manage the logistics for our major and mid-level donor event programme, comprising around 4-5 events a year, including the Rooftop Summer Drinks Party and November Private Dinner.
- Event management will include liaising with venue managers and suppliers both in the run up and during the event
- Work with the Philanthropy Executive to project manage on cross-income stream events, including sponsored challenge events such as the Impetus Triathlon, and Christmas Celebration Drinks.
Events Communication
- Support the Philanthropy team in putting together relevant event-related comms to all donors as required
- Manage systems and processes for fundraising events and actively look to improve and develop these alongside the Philanthropy Executive
- Manage the event side of the Salesforce database including guest list campaigns, pulling reports, creating mailing lists etc. Update the database with donor interactions, and other details in a timely and efficient manner.
Research
- Research and identify trends and news from the Events sector including new relevant venues, styles and fundraising event formats.
- Support the Philanthropy Executive in identifying trends and news from the wider fundraising sector.
Wider Philanthropy Support
- With the Philanthropy Executive, project manage relevant fundraising projects such as the June match funding appeal, and community fundraising projects including from schools and churches
- Provide ad hoc support to the Philanthropy team as required e.g. support with applications and reports, and hosting volunteers at Spear sessions.

Magic Breakfast is a registered charity providing healthy breakfasts to children and young people in the UK who arrive at school too hungry to learn, and expert support to their schools. Over 200,000 children and young people are on roll at Primary, Secondary, ASL / Special Educational Needs Schools and Pupil Referral Units that the charity works with, in disadvantaged areas of Scotland and England. JOB PURPOSE
Magic Breakfast’s mission is to end child morning hunger in the UK now and for good. The Campaigns Team develops strategy, creates plans and manages campaigns on issues and policy to influence key stakeholders and build public support to create systemic change and eliminate child hunger for good.
We are looking for a Campaigns Officer to join our small team to support the Campaigns Manager design, deliver and evaluate integrated and impactful campaigns in support of Magic Breakfast’s policy and advocacy objectives, including the designing, resourcing and creation of meaningful actions to communicate key messages to decision-makers, the media, supporters and the public.
You will be joining our campaigning work at a crucial point as we aim to grow our campaigner base, mobilise more people and carry out strategic campaigns within the context of an approaching general election and beyond with the new government. The role will work closely with colleagues across the Department and organisation to increase the impact of our advocacy messages and campaigns.

The Role
As our Deputy Shop Manager, you will be setting up our brand-new shop in Thirsk, supporting the Shop Manager in implementing processes and ways of working.

Job Description
· Be responsible for the execution of campaigns, content excellence, and activities to attract volunteers to Bookmark and to engage existing members of Bookmark’s community.

We’re looking for an organised and proactive person to play a crucial role in supporting communications and marketing activity across our organisation. You need to be passionate about all things digital and feel at home publishing content and engaging on social media.
You’ll get to work with experts across our teams, gain insights and make a positive impact across all areas of our charitable business. You’ll be involved in a wide range of activities, from maintaining digital content across web and social media and helping to facilitate press requests to assisting with an assortment of marketing opportunities, from coordinating events to assisting with the development of marketing materials.
With a flair for and interest in creating captivating content and a good eye for a story, you’ll contribute ideas and support the team in developing and sharing a range of multimedia assets and stories.

- Create and maintain schedules for digital and social media activity (owned and paid).
- Lead the day-to-day posting and monitoring of social media activity.
- Work with our Content Management Systems (CMS) and other digital platforms to manage the publishing of content across these channels, including websites and intranet.
- Collaborate with internal stakeholders to source content and story leads and research and develop compelling multimedia assets and content.
- Analyse communications activity (social media, web, media, internal and campaigns) to produce actionable and meaningful insights and reports, making effective use of analytics tools to inform communications activity.
- Support with varied marketing communications activities, from events to development of campaigns and marketing materials.
- Assist with the running of the press office, from facilitating filming and photography requests to other varied media events and opportunities, developing and maintaining media our database, and triaging our press office inbox.
- Support a culture of cross-organisational working and contribute to the overall objectives of the communications team.
- Champion Wessex Archaeology’s corporate brand and advocate inclusivity and accessibility across our channels and content.
- Undertake varied administrative tasks relating to communications and marketing at Wessex Archaeology
