About the role

Job Summary
You will take a leading role in developing and strengthening the regional and sub-regional networks of BRM groups, organisations and individuals in London and South East – these networks will both benefit from and shape the work of TPWLSE. You will also focus on building and developing the capacity (knowledge, skills and expertise) of BRM-led organisations in the region to operate effectively and successfully. This work will be carried out via networking meetings, regional and sub-regional briefings, training, fact-finding/learning sessions, group support and individual one-to-one support sessions with BRM groups and organisations.
Main Duties and Responsibilities
- Set up and run network development events to promote TPWLSE, to generate support for and involvement in TPWLSE’s work, to develop contacts and relationships with BRM organisations, groups and communities and to enable our learning about what support and resourcing BRM organisations and communities want and need from TPWLSE and others.
- Promote national and regional Phoenix Way funding opportunities and encourage applications. Promote funding opportunities from other funders.
- Deliver a combination of in-person, online and written briefings on funding and support available to groups and organisations in the region/sub-region.
- Set up and run training and learning events for BRM groups, organisations and communities to develop the skills, knowledge and expertise they need to operate effectively and successfully.
- Signpost organisations to capacity-building support and assist them in accessing that. Work with providers of capacity-building support to enable BRM groups and organisations to access that support.

BACKGROUND
The British Institute of Radiology (BIR) is a membership organisation, a multidisciplinary society and a registered charity (no: 215869). Its mission is to bring together all the professions in radiology, oncology and allied medical and scientific disciplines to share knowledge and educate the public, thereby improving the prevention and detection of disease and the management and treatment of patients.
The BIR has embarked on a new five-year strategy, which has established an education department aimed at delivering a programme designed to support training, education and CPD relevant to its membership community in flexible and interactive formats.
JOB SUMMARY
The post holder will work with faculty and BIR staff in the development and use of new learning technologies to support the educational mission of the BIR.
The post holder will manage the existing e-learning resources as well as develop new e-learning offering to our members and users. The poster holder will offer expert guidance, advice and direction on the design, development and implementation of e-learning materials and resources, and the use of interactive educational technologies to lead the e-learning development in BIR.
KEY RESULT AREAS
Manage the e-learning content
• Create new e-learning resources with subject specialists in medical imaging. This includes new initiatives (video course) as well as online learning library content and other e-learning offering.
• Lead and oversee the instructional design for the video courses
• Manage and review the content on the online learning library, including post-event videos, webinar series and training videos etc. Ensure the content are relevant for all categories and promote to our community
Manage the e-learning projects and implementation of e-learning system
• Develop and implement plans and timelines in collaboration with faculty and BIR staff to enable the phased introduction of e-learning projects and systems.
• Lead the team and work across the department to design, develop and manage the online learning elements including layout, tools, templates, authoring and processes.
• Manage all BIR learning systems including live platforms, Learning Management System as well as CRM system for event registration, online learning library and e-posters
• Develop and design technological solutions for problems specific to BIR educational activities.
• Maintain and review the systems for new updates to improve staff and user experiences

Predominantly delivering online courses you will often be the first member of the team our volunteers meet and will give them a friendly and informative introduction to Coram Beanstalk. What the role involves
Key responsibilities
1. Ensuring that there are regular training opportunities for both new starters and those requiring refresher sessions or updates when new functions or forms are released.
2. Running system training drop-in sessions to assist with queries / hear feedback, and relaying information from these to the Information Governance and IT manager.
3. Working with the Learning and Development Coordinator to establish an evaluation method and implement this to enable us to assess the effectiveness of each training session and using this to improve future delivery.
4. Produce effective training materials and guidance documents, and develop and maintain a training area on our case recording system, including the creation of dummy forms and files for new users to access and use as a training sandbox.
5. Producing and maintaining a catalogue of training resources, ensuring links to practice-based guidance are established and maintained.
6. Performing case recording system changes to forms and lists as directed by the Information Governance and IT Manager
7. Support the Data Reporting and System Support Lead with regards to user administration and user support at times of absence and increased need
8. Supporting with training on additional systems directed by the Information Governance and IT Manager, including on the efficient use of SharePoint and Teams
9. Developing training courses for various systems, using our LMS (currently Rise)
10. Acting at all times in line with safeguarding legislation and guidance in addition to Safer London’s practice guidelines and wider pan-London processes and protocols.
11. Undertaking any other duties as required and commensurate with the level of this post.

Our team in Energy Saving Trust manages the national Home Energy Scotland service on behalf of the Scottish Government. An exciting opportunity exists for a Learning and Development Partner to join the team. As Learning and Development Partner, you will work with the Head of People and Culture in the development and implementation of projects to support culture change. You will also work with the HR team members, managers, and staff to identify development needs; using this information to design and implement development activities that meet business, team and individual needs. This is a part-time London based role, permanent, (21 hours) per week over 3/4 days.
Who are we looking for?
Ideal candidates will possess a professional qualification in Learning and Development equivalent to level 3 and will possess experience of implementing LMS systems. You will have coaching experience with managers and staff as the organisation employs up to 100 staff. Your experience will also include conducting learning needs analysis to identify appropriate learning interventions as well as experience of delivering training and facilitating learning events. Your interpersonal and communication skills will allow relationships with managers and staff across a multi-site organisation and will be able to design courses that deliver learning in an engaging way. Experience of working within a charity would be ideal, however this is not essential for the role. Candidates will at times be required to work at multiple locations (Hackney, Barbican & Crouch End).
