The purpose of this role is to engage, cultivate and secure support from major gifts, grants, legacies and partnerships across Essex and Hertfordshire which will help shape, deliver and protect our vital life-changing service for the future. This is an exciting time at EHAAT. Over the past two years, a strategy has been devised and initiated to develop major giving as a new stream of funding for the charity. The successful candidate will have a proven track record of working with senior level prospects and givers in a charitable context, as well as experience across other areas including legacies, trusts and foundations and corporate fundraising. A genuine team player, they will demonstrate strategic thinking, creativity and leadership, to inspire and motivate key individuals and to build strong, long-lasting relationships with the charity. In addition, they will have management experience to unite, develop and lead the team to achieve challenging targets and deliver long term philanthropic goals.

Key Responsibilities
- Lead and develop the strategy to build philanthropic giving at EHAAT in consultation with the CEO, Executive Team, Trustees and Development Board, to support the charity’s objectives and long term aims.
- Deliver a fundraising plan across the Philanthropy & Partnerships team, including major giving, legacies, trusts and foundations and corporate partnerships, to achieve agreed strategic objectives.
- Provide excellent executive support and guidance to the Development Board and the Chair, and take a leading role in building the Board further by identifying and recruiting to its membership and the wider pool of Ambassadors.
- Ensure philanthropic giving to the charity is strengthened through in-depth research, compelling proposals, wellcrafted approaches for gifts and excellent stewardship.
- Deliver regular activity and income reports and participate in the budgeting and forecasting of income in this area.

The Natural Environment Charity Review aims to ensure that each charity is well managed and governed and achieves maximum impact for its beneficiaries, and to ensure that the City Corporation, in its capacity as charity Trustee, meets its legal duties and adheres to best practice set out by regulatory bodies. A key deliverable of this review is to understand and fully articulate the location, legal considerations and value of the assets of each of those charities, from land and buildings to machinery, artefacts and heritage items and possibly even livestock.
You will be working alongside representatives of each of the sites, and colleagues in assets mapping and finance, teams, as well as legal and charity experts to ensure assets are defined and understood, and that processes for capturing updates and amendments are fully documented on the most appropriate systems. A full understanding of relevant regulatory and best practice processes will be essential, as well as an ability to deliver projects across diverse teams, using pragmatism to investigate and resolve conflicting information sources. You will need to interrogate and understand a number of bespoke and generic software packages as well as legacy records.
Reporting to senior officers as well as Trustees, this is a new, varied and evolving project role on a challenging deadline. Based at Guildhall or an available site office, travel between each of the sites will often be necessary.

Role and Responsibilities
As our legacy officer, you will be responsible for:
· Managing a caseload of legacy gifts: This includes pecuniary, residuary and life interest legacies, ensuring IFAW receives its full entitlement in a timely manner. This may at times include a small selection of complex or contentious cases, to work on with support from your manager.
· Working closely with solicitors, executors, and beneficiaries: You’ll provide accurate and sensitive support throughout the probate process, building trust and ensuring a smooth experience for all parties involved.
· Maintaining meticulous records and reports: You’ll ensure accurate financial and contact records are kept, reports are generated on time, and compliance with all legal and regulatory requirements is met. You’ll raise data integrity or GDPR suggestions and take corrective action, as agreed.
· Providing recommendations for action: You’ll provide your suggestions to move forward any legacy case where action needs to be sanctioned by management or Trustees, or where there may be a risk to the charity's reputation.
· Assisting with monthly/annual reconciliation and audit: This includes following our financial rules to make appropriate accruals, adjustments, and provide audit-ready case files.
· Liasing with other teams within IFAW: When appropriate, you’ll work collaboratively with other teams, such as Finance, Donor Relations or the Legal team, to ensure a seamless process for legacy gifts, and to promote the legacy team’s recognition and standing in the organisation through internal communication.
· Staying up to date on relevant legislation and best practices: You’ll be a member of the ILM and regularly keep abreast of changes in the world on legacy case management, to ensure IFAW’s legacy administration remains efficient and compliant
Qualifications and Education Requirements
· 1+ years of experience in legacy administration: You’ll have a strong understanding of probate laws, Wills, trust, and estate administration. Experience of using FirstClass is desirable.
· Achieved or willing to work towards certification: You have or will work towards gaining the ILM’s Certificate in Charity Legacy Administration (CiCLA).

Tearfund is looking for a Senior Legacy Marketing Officer to increase awareness of the opportunity to leave a gift and inspire supporters to take up this opportunity. This role also has responsibility for developing Tearfund's In Memory Giving offer and growing the number and value of these donations.
We have a clear legacy proposition, increased investment in legacy marketing and an ambition to ensure that every Tearfund supporter has the chance to consider making a lasting transformation by leaving a legacy to Tearfund.
We are looking for a candidate who:
- Holds a strong knowledge of fundraising or marketing principles and can apply these to Tearfund's legacy programme
- A clear interest in and passion for legacy fundraising, committed to seeing this area of fundraising grow and develop as an engagement opportunity and income stream
- Able to create and implement a marketing plan that uses resources effectively to achieve agreed legacy fundraising outcomes (e.g. increased reach, awareness, enquiries and pledgers)
- Able to lead and motivate other marketing professionals assigned on an agile basis to work on legacy and in memory projects

We are looking to recruit an Individual Giving and Gifts in Wills Manager to manage and deliver the Individual Giving and Gifts in Wills (Legacy and In Memoriam) income streams for the Centre. This is an exciting role in our Fundraising team that will manage income pipelines and associated expenditure required to raise income, provide monthly monitoring and use data to analyse fundraising results. This role will also develop and implement strategies to retain, recruit and acquire new supporters.
In addition, you will also provide excellent stewardship to an aging supporter base and ensure the people who donate to the Centre receive a wonderfully warm and personal donor experience, engaging and inspiring donors with stories and updates about the work.

We are recruiting a Programme Manager to lead our grassroots consortium Better Bethnal Green (BBG) supporting young people facing multiple/complex disadvantages in the borough. Our partners and we are specialists in transforming the life trajectories of young people who have become marginalised by local poverty, unemployment and crime – particularly those from BAME communities who are disproportionately affected by these issues.
The consortium will work to address violence in the Bethnal Green area, Tower Hamlets, London by working with key stakeholders, young people and local communities to provide a range of interventions, capacity building and support.

You will have programme management experience, preferably within a community setting and a track record of meeting your goals and targets. What will you be doing?
This is a new position to head up the future development of individual giving at Plantlife. We have a growing base of over 20,000 members and ambitions to double this in the years ahead as we look to engage more people with nature.
This role will work with the Supporter team, building on strong foundations to grow membership, enhance supporter journeys and appeal activity to build lifetime value and deliver future legacy income as well as innovate to deliver core income that is the foundation for Plantlife’s mission to create a world rich in plants and fungi.
You will develop the individual giving strategy to recruit, retain, re-activate and maximise the life-time value of financial supporters through outstanding supporter relationships and experiences.
We are offering the role as hybrid or home based. We have offices in Salisbury or Retford and there will be a requirement to attend our Salisbury office at least once a month.
