An exciting opportunity for a motivated and creative fundraiser to develop a strategic programme of mid to high level donors for a charity working to build a fairer UK justice system within everyone’s reach.

As the Major Gifts Fundraiser, you will play a pivotal role in developing and sustaining fundraising relationships, working closely with the Director of Development, Chief Executive and Senior Management Team. You will be an integral member of the Development Team and work across other teams, particularly the Communications and Policy Teams to maximise fundraising and engagement opportunities and to deliver a first-class giving experience to every major individual donor.

The JUSTICE team currently work in a hybrid manner. Staff members have access to office space in London, however, attendance is currently optional. Our staff enjoy flexible working conditions, 27 days annual leave, plus the week between Christmas and the New Year, 8% employer pension contribution and access to an Employee Assistance Programme.

ROLE

Stella Maris is growing as a charity, in terms of income generation and new programmes of activity around the world. To help support this development, we have created this new important role. The Fundraising & Communications team at Stella Maris comprises about 12 staff members (some full time; some part time).  The team and the charity have now reached the point in their evolution where we need to appoint a Major Donor Manager. This post holder will offer excellent stewardship to our existing Major Donors. He/she will also help to identify and cultivate new potential Major Donors from within and outside our existing pool of individual donors. He/she will substantially grow the Major Donor income stream for the charity. He/she will cultivate and steward Major Donors to give in new and more impactful ways, will increase giving levels, will increase the number of Major Donors, and will create lasting and meaningful relationships with our most committed and generous supporters. This is an exciting opportunity for a dynamic, motivated and effective Major Donor fundraiser. The postholder will help us, as a leading maritime charity, to achieve our mission to support seafarers, fishers and their families around the world.

MAIN PURPOSE

The Major Donor Manager, reporting into the Director of Development and working with some guidance from the Head of Major Gifts, will maintain and grow a stable pipeline of income from Major Donors. He/she will secure unrestricted and restricted income from a portfolio of Major Donors to support the activities of the Stella Maris network in the UK and overseas. He/she will produce cultivation plans for individual Major Donors, meet them, craft tailored applications and reports for them.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

1 Manage relationships with a portfolio of Major Donors in accordance with the Charities fundraising strategy and giving programme activity.

2 Establish individual donor cultivation, engagement and stewardship strategies, ensuring each prospect and existing donor has an appropriate communications and cultivation programme in place.

3 Ensure that donor profiling and research activity is undertaken on existing and potential Major Donors (within data protection regulation guidelines) in order to enhance and develop relations.

4 Identify potential Major Donors from within the Mid-Value Donor portfolio and help graduate them up to Major Donor giving levels.

5 Working with the Governance and Executive team, conduct meetings and visits with individual Major Donors around the UK.

6 Accompany Major Donors on port visits within the UK and possibly abroad.

7 Craft carefully tailored applications, thank you letters and reports for Major Donors.

8 Support other senior staff and stakeholders, such as Trustees, in cultivating relationships with Major Donors by providing research and other information as required, and bringing them to meetings with Major Donors when appropriate.

9 Build and cultivate relationships with intermediaries, e.g. wealth advisers, lawyers.

10 Arrange events for Major Donors.

11 Ensure that all activity is recorded accurately on the charity’s Customer Relationship Management database, and that actions are undertaken in a timely and professional manner. 

12 Extract monthly reports on activity levels with Major Donors, e.g. number of contacts, meetings, asks, etc., and circulate this internally to selected senior staff members.

The Trussell Trust are seeking a Philanthropy Executive to join our high-performing Major Donor team. The Philanthropy Executive supports the work of the team with executive tasks and in managing the stewardship communications for a specific caseload tier of supporters. You will help to develop our plans for working with this tier, liaising with the Individual Giving team to manage the donor journey between mid-value and the major donor caseload. You will co-ordinate a tailored programme of stewardship communications and engagement helping to build and deepen long-term relationships and secure income. 

Role responsibilities 

• Stewarding a tier of donors to bring them closer to our work, planning and coordinating a programme of one-to-many communications, asks and appeals as well as quarterly updates (to be used across the major donor caseload), thanking donors, and helping to build understanding of the impact of their support.

• Managing the philanthropy team inbox and providing first point of contact for enquiries and colleagues, fielding them to the relevant team members. 

• Co-ordinating with the Individual Giving mid-value team to effectively manage supporter journeys. Liaising with the Supporter Care team to ensure that contact records are accurate and data protection compliant, and that gifts are coded and recorded correctly on our database. 

• Supporting the Major Donor team with executive tasks such as keeping accurate records, liaising with external suppliers, assisting with comms creation in liaison with the Marcomms teams; sourcing relevant content for donor updates; assisting with mailings and invitations to events; using Salesforce to identify and qualify prospects and performing basic desktop research; producing briefings; producing reports. 

• Attending internal meetings and gathering information to ensure our team are abreast of developments across the organisation.

Parkinson’s UK – Head of Major Gifts
Location: London Victoria, SW1V, hybrid working (minimum of two days per week in person working). Occasional travel will also be required.
Salary: £65k - £70k, depending on experience.

Parkinson’s UK is seeking an exceptional and experienced, innovative leader to shape their high value strategy to deliver significant growth in income and the charity’s established high value fundraising.

This role will support and inspire an ambitious and high performing team to build propositions, proposals and pipelines in order to unlock opportunities to engage the charity’s supporters and untap networks across the charity, securing vital funds to underpin their strategic programmes and ambitions for people with Parkinson’s. The post-holder will inspire supporters to give their biggest donation and ensure that the organisation is giving its supporters the best experience possible, delivering an annual income target of £6m+. The role will also play a pivotal part in driving a new multi-year, multi-million pound charity appeal.

Maximising the value and contribution of supporters is fundamental to Parkinson’s UK; building networks, understanding what motivates their supporters, and aligning programmes to their charitable interests is key to the charity’s growth plans for Major Gifts. This role will be critical to leading the philanthropy, trust and statutory, special events and prospect research and insights teams (approximately 18 people) and working with colleagues and leaders across the charity to identify prospects and opportunities to give at a transformational level. The post will also be an active member of the Fundraising Leadership Team.

The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in major gifts fundraising and a proven track record of securing large gifts. They will also have experience of managing a large annual income target and driving continued growth and ensuring targets are met. They will have the ability to lead, motivate and inspire multiple teams to coordinate projects and exceed fundraising targets. Strong presentation skills and budgetary skills will be combined with the ability to build positive and high-value relationships across a range of sectors, individuals, organisations and committees. Our award winning fundraising division is currently looking for an Engagement and Stewardship Executive to join our Partnership and Philanthropy team in this newly created role for the charity.

With ambitious plans to grow our fundraising income above £60m in the next 5 years we are expanding our fundraising team. The role sits within the newly created Operations Team ensuring Age UK's donor facing Partnerships and Philanthropy Team are provided with the highest quality donor research, engagement and stewardship materials required to create transformative partnerships with businesses, high net worth individuals, trusts and foundations.

In this newly created position we require a collaborative individual who can support our Senior Operations Manager deliver our stewardship strategy focused on inspiring, thanking and retaining our major donors, corporate partners and grant funders by creating engaging communications and activities.

This role offers hybrid working between home and London (EC3N 2LB). Our fundraising division attend the London office once a week on Thursday's.

Ideal Candidate: 

We are looking for an experienced, dynamic and driven Senior Corporate Partnerships Executive to join our team in this integral and newly created role. The role will lead on identifying and securing collaboration and funding opportunities with both existing and prospective partners, and developing and managing a pipeline of strategic corporate partners that align with PCR’s mission and core programmes of work. We are looking for someone with demonstrable experience of developing and nurturing relationships with corporate partners, understanding complex issues and working with others to identify solutions, and producing compelling funding proposals in support of this work.

Key responsibilities:

· Identify and nurture relationships with prospective corporate partners aligned with the mission and values of PCR.

· Develop and implement comprehensive partnership strategies to engage existing and prospective corporate partners.

· Work closely with PCR's delivery departments and other income streams to identify, develop and maximise income generation opportunities.

· Collaborate with internal stakeholders to create compelling funding proposals and presentations tailored to the needs and objectives of corporate partners.

· Lead negotiations and secure funding support from corporate partners for activities aligned with PCR’s programmes of work.

· Effectively manage project monitoring and reporting for PCR’s existing funded activities with corporate partners, including regular communication, reporting, and public recognition of contributions (as appropriate), working closely with PCR’s delivery and communications teams.

· Stay informed of industry trends, corporate philanthropy initiatives, and relevant developments to inform partnership strategies and opportunities.

· Represent PCR at external events, conferences, and meetings to promote partnership opportunities and expand our network within the corporate sector.

· Database management to record pipeline and enable strategic planning against established KPIs and income targets.

· Support Director of Partnerships to monitor and report income performance to PCR’s Board of Trustees.

Skills and experience:

· Experience of identifying and securing at least five-figure income from prospective corporate partners, supported by detailed partnership plans.

· Experience of developing and managing at least five-figure partnerships with pharmaceutical and healthcare related companies is desirable.

· Experience of creating and organising supporter engagement events is desirable.

· Excellent and persuasive communication and interpersonal skills with proven ability to build and manage strong relationships with corporate partners.

· Demonstrated ability to think strategically, develop creative solutions, and deliver upon corporate partnership objectives.

· Experience of preparing compelling and persuasive funding proposals, presentations and reports.

· Excellent project management skills, with the ability to prioritise tasks, meet deadlines, and manage multiple projects simultaneously.

· Ability to work flexibly according to the demands of the role, including the potential for UK and international travel and attendance at events and conferences.

· A passion for securing funding that will help improve the lives of people with prostate cancer and a commitment to advancing healthcare through strategic partnerships and collaboration.

About the team

Shelter’s mature fundraising team has seen continuous year on year growth. The directorate generates over £65m gross income, of which a high percentage is unrestricted, giving us an exceptional level of investment flexibility. This particular role sits within our High Value Partnerships division, which includes Philanthropy, Trusts & Foundations, Legacies, and Corporate Partnerships fundraising specialists. It will also see you work closely with colleagues in a Retail team that’s responsible for a network of 80 charity shops and boutique stores that are the face of Shelter on the high street.

About the role

An ideal opportunity for someone who is interested in a career in corporate fundraising or charity retail, you’ll play a key role in developing Shelter’s retail presence and raising vital funds. You’ll be responsible for enabling stock donations from major retailers, and helping research and develop new relationships with businesses to generate stock and secure their expertise on a pro-bono basis. Thinking strategically, identifying new opportunities, and bringing ideas and concepts to life through written proposals and pitches to businesses in order to generate support for Shelter – all are aspects of a role that will also see you ensure the smooth running of our Stock Generation administration processes and help the Senior New Corporate Partnerships Manager - Retail, with day-to-day activities.

About you

As well as being keen to develop a career in business development and fundraising, you also feel passionately about working with companies to help tackle homelessness. What’s more, you believe you have what it takes to plan and source new stock generation opportunities and develop new acquisition tactics and campaign ideas that will engage retailers. You will have the ability to generate creative and imaginative proposals and take the initiative to develop new relationships with brands and retailers. An understanding of the sustainability agenda for businesses and ability to apply commercial and financial principles to improve business performance would be a definite advantage. We’re also looking for someone friendly and personable, with strong relationship building skills who can manage a busy workload, work well as part of a team and is proficient using Microsoft Office applications and databases.

The Cleft Lip and Palate Association (CLAPA) is the national charity for people affected by cleft lip and palate in the United Kingdom.

CLAPA supports people affected by cleft to take control of their journey, connect with others, and use their voices to impact the future of care. Our vision is that no one affected by cleft lip and palate in the United Kingdom will go through their journey alone.

We are seeking a Fundraising Coordinator (Individual Giving) to join our small but dynamic Fundraising team.

The role requires excellent donor care and stewardship skills. All forms of communication will be required including the proactive use of digital channels such as the website and social media platforms.

The Individual Giving Fundraiser will play a vital role in increasing income from our existing supporters. You will support donor acquisition as well as taking the lead on retention of our supporters across multiple channels including cash appeals, regular giving, lottery and in celebration giving. The role will also support the Head of Income in the delivery of a legacy and major donor program.

You will develop and deliver excellent stewardship programmes that drive retention by deepening audience understanding of the challenges that people affected by cleft face and the impact that their donations make. Using data and insight, you’ll deliver compelling campaigns, with people affected by cleft right at the centre. You’ll use creative tools and techniques to demonstrate impact and inspire future action.
