Refugee Action Kingston exists to enable refugees and asylum seekers to succeed as integrated members of the local community. For over 30 years, we have achieved this mission by delivering a range of services including welfare, immigration and legal advice, education, counselling, and careers guidance.
We are looking for a Partnership and Digital Marketing Co-ordinator
Location: Hybrid – remote/office in central Kingston
Hours: Part-time – 21 hours per week (flexible working available)
Salary: £18,000 (£30,000 pro-rata)
Leave: 26 days per annum (pro-rata at 15.6 days) plus bank holidays
Contract: Fixed-Term Contract until March 2025
Reports to: Fundraising and Volunteer Manager
Over the next five years, we want to grow our reach, expand our capacity, and diversify our funding. Our new Strategy is ambitious and exciting and will rely on strong networks, quality outcomes and excellent communication. As part of that, we want to engage with small, medium & large businesses in and around Kingston, with a view of securing mutually beneficial partnerships, including donations, in-kind support and volunteering and job opportunities for our clients.
You will bring creative energy and a track record for generating partnerships alongside amazing digital marketing skills. This role will suit someone who is self-driven, motivated by results and happy to manage their own workflow. You will be passionate about supporting refugees and those seeking asylum and use that passion to establish and nurture connections.
You will seek to develop relationships that can be beneficial to our client’s journeys of integration including corporate volunteering or donations, employment and work placement opportunities. We are keen that employers have a good understanding of the positive impact people with a refugee experience can bring to their business.
Main Duties
- To develop relationships with corporates, SMEs and other relevant organisations through effective digital marketing
- To create a digital marketing campaign that generates partnerships and mutually beneficial relationships including job opportunities, work interviews, work experience and trials
- Tell the stories of our clients to educate employers and businesses as to the benefits of working with and supporting refugees and people seeking asylum
- Put together a digital marketing plan for the 12 months to ensure all networking, partnership targets are met
- Ensure the website is fit for purpose by updating content, working with colleagues to keep programme pages current and ensuring it complements the digital marketing activity
- Work with the Fundraising Manager to attract funding, corporate giving/donations/in-kind support aligned with the needs of client’s journeys of integration towards employment through effective content creation and social media activity
- Nurture relationships with corporate partners, organisations and businesses to assist in the creation of a refugee welcome working environment via effective digital marketing

About the role

About LifeSkills
The LifeSkills programme will offer groups of families the chance to come together to a trusted venue such as a children’s centre or community setting. As well as offering opportunities for families to spend quality time together and have access to healthy food, these sessions will offer LifeSkills workshops for parents and carers to build their confidence, social networks, financial and employability skills. Examples include but are not limited to overcoming setbacks, managing debt, boosting confidence to return to work, CV writing, interview skills. The aims of the LifeSkills programme are to support participants to increase their confidence and 21st century skills, move closer to training/volunteering/employment, improve their social networks, and grow their confidence to provide low cost and nutritious meals.
The role involves delivering LifeSkills sessions to groups of families in the Greater Manchester area. You will manage the Communications Team to ensure effective delivery of our communications strategy that promotes the identity and values of Urban Saints. They will also be experienced and confident with all primary channels and tools within the communications and marketing arena. THE ROLE

In this key position, you will play a pivotal role in overseeing and coordinating our growing volunteer team. This is a new role within our small yet dynamic team. Locations: Primarily home based with travel throughout London and the South-East.
Hours: 22.5hrs per week. (flexible working arrangements can be discussed)
Salary: £26,250 - 29,000 pro rata per annum (based on 37.5hrs per week)

JOB PURPOSE:
- Working to assess, plan and implement our programmes with chosen education partners within the community.
- Develop excellent relationships with our third party practitioners, staff, volunteers and work closely with our trustees. You will also develop excellent relationships with relevant external agencies and partners and communicate with them when appropriate.
- To collaborate and administratively support the relationship between partner settings and Joe’s Buddy Line practitioners for smooth execution of service.
- To assess the success of support programmes through evaluation, monitoring and reporting and advise key changes to approaches to suit end user needs.
- To support the charity’s aims, vision and mission; contribute specialist mental health knowledge and have a working understanding and knowledge of safeguarding policies and procedures.
- In collaboration with the Leadership Team, the post holder will contribute to the development of policy and protocols in light of national / local guidance. This process will encompass audit and service evaluation.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- To contribute to establishing support programmes within education settings and the community; focussing on the prevention of the development of mental illness and promoting good emotional wellbeing across the population.
- To support the delivery of mental health and wellbeing related programmes.
- To develop and promote collaborative multi-agency working practices by providing information and expertise to partners in professional third-sector, social care and medical services.
- In collaboration with a member(s) of the leadership/trustee team, the post holder will contribute to the development, evaluation and monitoring of the mental health and well-being programme service.
- To maintain, deliver and audit all Joe’s Buddy Line programme products and equipment.
- To have responsibility for promoting and safeguarding the welfare of children and young people you come into contact with as laid out in the charity’s safeguarding policy.
- To ensure all tasks are carried out with due regard to Health and Safety, in particular to complete all relevant risk assessments and accident reports as laid out in the charity’s policy documents as necessary.
- To maintain accurate and up to date records and activities of partners, settings, suppliers and agencies.
- Attend and promote positive mental health and wellbeing displays or events with stakeholders.
- To contribute to the identification of training needs of staff / workers within the programmes team.
- To be available to guide the administration of mental health & suicide first aid in accordance with Charity Policy.
- To undertake appropriate professional development.
- To adhere to the vision and mission of the charity and to set an example of personal integrity and professionalism.

Person Specification
ESSENTIAL
- Proven ability to understand the current, complex educational environment and the needs of staff and young people within these settings.
- Knowledge of mental health issues, whether through a track record of employment or lived experience.
- Proven ability to develop, implement and manage complex projects and programmes.
- A clear communicator with a track record of building partnerships and influencing partners / key stakeholders.
- Sound financial literacy to understand and implement programme budgets.
- Experience in impact measurement and reporting.
- Competent in using Microsoft 365 or similar to manage documents and shared resources.
- An undergraduate degree or qualification in a relevant field or equivalent work experience in a management capacity for a small charity or similar organisation (e.g. private or public sector).
- Ability to manage the health and safety and safeguarding aspects of programme delivery.
- Proven ability to present to and communicate with a wide and diverse range of people, including representatives from the educational sector, local authorities, voluntary sector and other professionals.
- Ability and willingness to travel throughout the UK as may be required.
- Commitment to increasing diversity and representation.
DESIRABLE
- Experience of working in the voluntary sector and an understanding of the issues and challenges it faces.
- Experience of working in partnership with statutory services, educational organisations and third-sector organisations.

Quality Coordinator

The Quality Coordinator will work together collaboratively with the Personal Support operational team to provide guidance and coaching so we can provide safe, reliable and stable services, and use Person Centred Practices that deliver Improved Experiences and Outcomes for people.
Working with a focus on audit and improvement, Health and Safety and Practice your work plan will include undertaking agreed independent reviews and audits against the ‘What Matters Most’* standards and regulatory compliance. You will support the development of the quality and practice skills of managers and support workers using coaching and positive role modelling.
It is a challenging role working across the Quality Directorate and you must be willing to travel nationally and to stay away from home on a regular basis (weekly). You will get support with all areas of the work and an in-depth induction.
