The role
As Partner Engagement Manager you will promote and develop the work of Family Fund in its reach to families. You’ll also contribute to its profile within the disability sector in Wales and with key Government/political stakeholders.
You will proactively work with a wide range of public, private and third sector organisations. Your goal will be to ensure Family Fund’s strategy is understood, and that mutually beneficial relationships are formed. In addition, you will seek out opportunities which allow Family Fund to achieve its key priorities, deliver added value for funders, and secure positive outcomes for our beneficiaries.
You will be acknowledged as a senior Family Fund representative across the disability sector, deputising for the Group CEO, or Directors on committees and at events as required.
Finally, you will build effective partnerships and proactively develop activities with key organisations across public, private and third sectors.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
Strategic Philanthropy
- Lead, develop and implement a Business Growth strategic plan that brings a mix of

business and key ICA stakeholders - Lead a Fundraising team to research prospective donors and supporters and build a

Audiences & Communications
- Lead, develop and implement an Audiences and communications strategy alongside the
ICA’s internal and external colleagues and PR agencies - Lead marketing campaigns for ICA’s work and manage a range of activity that supports
ICA to meet its organisational objectives - Maintain and develop ICA’s brand in international, national and local markets, ensuring
ICA’s identity is maintained across all communications channels - Oversee the ICA platforms including its website, socials, media and the overall user
experience to ensure that they serve the organisational objectives - Develop and deliver a coherent marketing and communications strategy that promotes
ICA, and enables the institution to meet its income targets - Develop, implement and maintain ICA’s overall digital and social media strategy

FareShare is the UK’s national network of charitable food redistributors, made up of 18 independent organisations. Together, we take good quality surplus food from right across the food industry and get it to nearly 9,500 frontline charities and community groups.

About FareShare Go
FareShare and the Irish social enterprise FoodCloud have been working together since 2016 in a partnership designed to help UK retailers address the issue of edible surplus food they may have within their stores. This innovative partnership, known as FareShare Go, brings together a technology platform and FareShare’s knowledge of the UK charity food redistribution market. Using this App we are connecting charities with edible surplus foods. Initially this scheme has been working with Tesco, with a view to roll this service out to all retailers across the UK & Ireland in the longer term. Since launching the scheme last year we have already connected over 7,500 charities with over 2,700 stores.
The role
As Community Coordinator, your role will focus on the growth and sustainability of the FareShare Go programme, through maximising relationships and adding value to create the best experience for our charity community. The successful candidate will be an exceptional communicator, with an approachable nature who will play a vital role in developing and maintaining charity and retailer relationships, plus raising awareness of FareShare Go across your local area.
Main areas of responsibility
- Charity account management: You will carry out virtual calls and in person visits with new and existing charities, and be responsible for ensuring that coverage KPIs are reached and maintained for both new and existing retailers. Using your analysis of charity needs, plus your knowledge of retailer and store profiles, you will use these visits to maximise the offer to charities, ensuring the service meets their requirements.
- Community Capacity Building: As part of the Building of relationships with charities, you will seek opportunities to enable and empower charities to increase their capacity and ability to take more food, to ultimately increase the redistribution of surplus food to those in need.
- Sustainability and Compliance: You will work with your Regional Manager and team to identify stores where re-engagement activities are needed to improve charity coverage and charity compliance. You will work to maximise the amount of food collected by charities with lower levels of compliance. You will also be responsible for undertaking food safety reviews with charities to ensure compliance.
- Retailer Engagement: You will play a key role in maintaining strong retailer relationships across your region. You will take an active role in any meet and greets with retailers, where required. Plus, you will be responsible for maintaining regular contact with the relevant retail stakeholders in your region, sensitively dealing with any issues in a professional manner, as and when they arise.
- FareShare Network Engagement: We aim to become 'oneFareShare’. These roles are an integral part of our FareShare network and you will partner closely with the Regional Centre(s) in your areas. You will work on joint initiatives which improve and grow the FareShare community, ensuring that charities have access to the FareShare service which best meet their needs.

Bexley Food Alliance Project Coordinator
The Bexley Food Alliance is a new network which was funded by the GLA to work towards taking pressure off the emergency food aid services and providing increased financial support to Bexley residents. This network has now expanded and aims to build a collaborative network of agencies that can increase fairer access to healthy, nutritious and culturally appropriate food, as well as any additional support residents might need. We are looking for a Project Coordinator to take over the day-to-day running of this network (see below for a brief description). This is a good opportunity for anyone who wants to take on a part-time, one-year project, perhaps as a stepping stone into something more significant, or perhaps you’re returning to work or changing careers. This is an opportunity to be at the start of an exciting, innovative partnership project, shaping a network and forming strong alliances with various agencies.
You will work closely with the VCS within Bexley to build the capacity and capabilities of local groups, provide partnership/networking opportunities that enable them to carry out their own objectives effectively and offer high quality services.

Corporate partnerships are critical to delivering our mission and ensuring we can support as many children and young people facing disadvantage to open doors to their future. The Philanthropy Team as a whole has a combined target income for the current year (2023-24) of £1.83 million (growing to £2.35m as our target for next year) of which approximately £850k is from corporate donors and their foundations. We have been successful year on year in increasing our fundraising base by building secure multi-year partnerships. Part of our growth strategy is looking at building stronger relationships with corporate partners, having established a strong multi-year relationship for the first time this year worth £500k annually. We’re looking for a Corporate Partnerships Manager to lead on our corporate partnership activities and initiatives, including growing income from corporate partners as well as increasing the number of corporate volunteer tutor applications we receive from them. Working within our Philanthropy Team, the Corporate Partnerships Manager will be responsible for the line-management and development of two Corporate Partnership Coordinators, ensuring that, as a team, you meet your corporate income and volunteer application targets. Duties and responsibilities
• Manage, maintain and leverage existing corporate partner relationships alongside, as relevant, the Head of Philanthropy and Fundraising Manager, including proactively reporting to partners on the impact of their funding, giving and volunteering to encourage further support from them.
• Work with the CEO, Head of Philanthropy and Fundraising Manager to ensure Action Tutoring’s fundraising targets are met, and manage an effective pipeline across Action Tutoring’s different income streams.
• Working with the Head of Philanthropy and Fundraising Manager, with an end goal of increasing both income and volunteer tutor applications from corporate partners, including, as relevant, agreeing to set the strategic plan for corporate partnerships and identifying which ones are most fruitful, defining their journey, and setting targets for both income and volunteers.

• Working with your Corporate Partnership Coordinators, research and drive new opportunities for high-value multi-year commitments. Support the CEO and Head of Philanthropy in pitching those relationships where appropriate.
Identify potential funders within the current corporate volunteer pool and work closely with the Head of Philanthropy and Fundraising Manager to convert corporate support into income generation to meet agreed upon targets.
• Develop new partnership leads using personal networks and networks within Action Tutoring’s staff team and volunteer pool, including supporting the Programme Team in cultivating partnerships with corporations in their local areas.
• Proactively engage partners in supporting us through fundraising activities, such as challenges and events, match-funding campaigns and pay-roll giving schemes.
• With your Corporate Partnership Coordinators, prepare and deliver presentations and information sessions that encourage colleagues of Corporate Partners to join us as volunteer tutors or support us financially.
• Oversee your Corporate Partnerships Coordinators to lead corporate volunteer recruitment, ensuring agreed targets for corporate volunteers are met.
• Ensure the development of clear and compelling marketing materials to engage corporate organisations, alongside maintaining the partnership areas of our website.
• Line management of two Corporate Partnerships Coordinators, ensuring workload is fairly distributed and supporting their development.
• Represent Action Tutoring at relevant meetings and events.

- Manage relationships with donors/investors to increase success rate of applications and ensure continuous funding.
