Job description

The Dog Health & Wellbeing Operations Manager helps people with sight loss live the life they choose by being accountable for the delivery of the dog wellbeing service and veterinary service provision within a geographical region. The role is responsible for managing the budget in relation to dog wellbeing costs.  In conjunction with the central canine team develop and quality manage policies and procedures, and collaboration with peers to have a national awareness of dog health and wellbeing within the whole organisation.

To be able to fulfil this role, the skills and experience we are looking for in a potential candidate include;


· Proven track record in leading and performance managing a multi-skilled / multidisciplinary team of staff, to achieve all agreed KPIs and financial targets.

· An understanding of customer relations and meeting the needs of a variety of customers. 

· Animal husbandry and wellbeing, and veterinary service provision.

· Proven ability to structure, plan and prioritise to be able to deliver against targets and deadlines

· Able to practically apply theoretical knowledge and translate it for audience as appropriate.


· RCVS Veterinary nurse qualification

· Working with volunteers.

· Comfortable and competent in communicating key organisational and departmental messages to a range of stakeholders including senior managers.
