Refettorio Felix is an innovative charity providing a restaurant quality 3 course meal freshly made entirely from surplus food in our beautiful space, for free, to vulnerable and economically insecure adults. It also offers wrap around care and support in areas such as housing, mental health and employment.
We offer our services Monday to Friday during the day. At night and at the weekends the space is for hire as an event venue for weddings, parties and corporate events.
The role is made up of three major components:
1. Focus on the delivery of the commercial events, being heavily involved in all aspects from marketing through to handling enquiries, and then managing the client relationship and their event to conclusion.
2. To organise fundraising events in the space.
3. To assist with the marketing of the charity in general, including the day to day management of the social media channels.
You should have some knowledge and interest in web sites, an interest in food would be an advantage. Specific experience in a similar role professionally is not essential, your knowledge could have come through voluntary activities, hobbies, university clubs or elements picked up through part time jobs. The essential qualities for this role are being highly organised, highly creative and passionate about the charities mission.
Main duties and responsibilities:
· Create and deliver fundraising events in the venue.
· Operate the commercial events office on a daily basis - this includes but is not exclusive to: - managing new clients; receiving inbound enquiries: conducting site visits and recording and managing booking details, invoicing and booking necessary staff as required.
· Operate day to day the Charity’s’ Social Media Channels
· Support the management of the charity’s website.
· Assist with the implementation of the commercial events and general charity’s marketing plans, using relevant elements of the marketing mix.
· Develop and produce promotional materials, including copywriting and liaising with other departments, agencies and suppliers.
· Raise the profile and brand of all our facilities and services
· Maintain relationships with agencies, relevant publications, suppliers etc.
· Complete monthly marketing and sales analytics.
· Assist with strategic decision making and reporting.
· Create (yourself and/or using professional photographers) and curate photography to maintain a relevant, up-to-date stock of images for charity publicity, event sales and marketing.

Overseeing the creative and delivery of campaigns from initial brief through to post campaign analysis, contributing to and ensuring the Supporter Activation team meets agreed objectives and income targets.
Key to this role will be to lead on the management and development of the DRTV programme (from creative to planning) which plays a significant part in the activation programme.
You'll also:
- Lead on the management, delivery and development of all aspects of the DRTV programme. Taking particular responsibility for creative development and innovation, media planning and campaign analysis.
- Support the Senior Marketing Manager (Supporter Activation) in the strategy and innovation of the DRTV programme to drive growth in this pivotal channel.
- Support the Senior Marketing Manager and working closely with the Marketing Officers to manage, deliver and develop the other channels in the extensive activation portfolio such as inserts, door drop and integrated media and creative campaigns, taking particular responsibility for media planning, buying and analysis.

- Develop, plan and manage complex income and expenditure budgets for a portfolio of activities, some with six figure budgets and targets; including using complex reforecasting models to provide projections for income and expenditure.
- Ensure that all communications are carried out within FRSB, DPA and Charity Commission guidelines.
About You:
- Substantial proven experience of working in a similar fundraising and/or customer marketing role managing an expenditure budget to deliver campaigns using a wide range of media.
- Proven experience of managing DRTV campaigns, working closely with media, creative and production agencies.
- A track record of developing and implementing successful direct marketing strategies working in a complex direct marketing role / team. Including experience of strategic planning and executing multi-faceted activation campaigns for both below and above the line channels.
- Proven experience of managing large volume media campaigns including media planning, buying and analysis.
- Significant project management experience including identifying new fundraising opportunities and developing a framework for implementation.
- Experience of developing and managing complex budgets, using relevant monitoring and evaluating tools.
- Ability to develop, monitor and adapt DM strategies for the implementation of fundraising channels; including advising on the direction of the overarching direct marketing programme.
- Experience of successfully developing high level relationships with senior staff and stakeholders both internally and externally.
- Experience of leading a team and line management of one or more team members.
- Excellent written and numeracy skills with attention to detail and the ability to use spreadsheets to formulate and analyse complex budgets and make informed decisions.
- Excellent negotiation skills, and communication skills including experience of presenting to internal and external stakeholders.
- A good understanding of fundraising principles.

The Teacher Development Trust (TDT) is the smart, heart, humble education charity for professional development in schools. Our programmes support extraordinary leaders to empower staff and build expert schools, improving outcomes for all children regardless of background, challenge or need.
As we consolidate and expand the reach of our work, we are now seeking an energetic, curious and highly organised Marketing and Recruitment Officer to join our team. A commitment to working in education is a must.
This is an exciting opportunity in a fast-growing and influential education charity. We're looking for a proactive, confident communicator with an understanding of the education landscape to join our team in supporting our existing services and programmes. We have an excellent track record of developing staff within the charity, as well as staff who have taken their careers into schools, other charities and the public sector.

Particular to the Marketing and Recruitment Officer, guided by by the School Engagement Manager:

To contribute to the creation of strategic marketing plans to promote Teacher Development Trust's services. Helping to shape activity to provide a better understanding of the efficacy and reach of our products and services and ensuring that information and data are shared effectively across the organisation.

To utilise various marketing channels including digital platforms, social media, website and traditional marketing methods including email and newsletters, to reach target audiences. You will collaborate with the team to create and distribute compelling content, promotional materials and campaigns.

To stay informed about industry trends, competitor activities and emerging opportunities and share this information as appropriate across the organisation to put TDT in the best position to respond in the advancement of our charitable aims and objectives.

To support the planning and organisation of events such as workshops, webinars and conferences to showcase Teacher Development Trust's offerings and coordinate TDT presence at external events. This will include representing the organisation at events to network and promote our services.

To work closely with the internal teams, including the content development and participant experience teams, to ensure seamless service delivery, satisfaction, retention and brand loyalty. You will also collaborate with external partners and stakeholders to explore potential synergies and business opportunities.

To support the wider interaction between the organisation and the sector, in particular supporting carefully planned and considered marketing and communications activity as well as responding to emerging news stories and other agendas. Where appropriate this may include working with journalists and other key sector influencers.
Experience, qualities and skills:

Proven experience in marketing roles either within the education sector or elsewhere.

Knowledge of the current educational landscape, including an understanding of professional development or a genuine interest in developing that knowledge.

An active interest in continuously developing both generalist and technical marketing expertise.

Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to present information clearly, striking the correct tone with a range of internal and external audiences.

Excellent written and oral communication skills

Excellent problem solving skills and the initiative to continuously improve.

Strong interpersonal and relationship-building abilities.

Familiarity with digital marketing tools and platforms (Salesforce, Mailchimp, Adobe Creative Suite, Canva, Asana, Divi, Wordpress) would be an advantage but not essential - the appetite to learn is essential.

Ability to work independently and as part of a collaborative team.

A strong commitment to education, the non-profit sector and improving educational outcomes for children and young people.

ABOUT THE ROLE
The Engagement & Marketing Director role was created last year to drive forward our next strategic phase of engagement – determining how we influence, engage and mobilise people and communities to plant and protect urban trees. The maternity cover will continue to work closely with the senior team to finalise the engagement strategy and implement from 2025. The maternity cover will lead our Engagement & Marketing team to drive awareness and understanding of the importance of urban trees, deepening our connections with urban communities, growing our communications reach to engage target audiences, and boosting our Individual Giving programmes linked to regular giving, payroll giving and legacies.
The successful candidate will be a proven community engagement professional with senior-level marketing experience, a demonstrable track record of team leadership and experience of developing and delivering against strategic objectives. You will be credible and comfortable operating at senior levels with third sector stakeholders as well as grassroots communities.

Join us at the forefront of social change as our new Events & Digital Marketing Officer. You'll play a pivotal role in managing way we engage with our audiences, so that we amplify our mission to end poverty in the UK.

As the Direct Marketing Officer (F2F Campaigns), you will work closely with the Direct Marketing Manager, providing support with the development, management of the Lottery and Regular Giving programs through Face to Face (F2F) fundraising. You will;
- Work with and be a contact for F2F and Direct Dialogue agencies and campaign activity across Private Site, Door to Door and Telemarketing. Cultivating strong relationships with all agencies, ensuring they operate to the highest standards, meeting their contractual obligations.
- Assist on the development of strategic and operational plans for multiple Direct Dialogue fundraising campaigns.
- Assist with analysing results to ensure ROI is delivered and action where required.
- Facilitate the smooth running of F2F campaigns, ensuring donor recruitment targets are met and to a high standard.
- Responsible for Fundraiser Training; Induction, Enhanced and Quarterly Refreshers to date and relevant content.
As the Direct Marketing Officer (F2F campaigns), you’ll have ideally previous skills and experience in either a campaign management role within Direct Marketing, Individual Giving OR have worked in a fundraising and gained transferable skills in the areas below:
- Working with or managing external agencies and internal stakeholders to deliver successful campaigns or projects.
- Presenting to others, and/or creating and delivering training programmes to inspire and motivate others to achieve targets and deliver objectives.
- Monitoring, planning projects and/or campaigns to agreed deadlines.
- Managing data with an excellent command of MS Excel.
- An understanding of fundraising compliance, data protection and best practice.
