Job description

Director of Membership, Marketing and Communications

The Senior Management Team is seeking an experienced Director of Membership, Marketing and Communications to lead and manage the high performing Membership, Marketing and Communications functions and team over 12 months. They will provide leadership and direction across member and volunteer engagement, database management, media engagement, and marketing communications across digital and print media.

Director of Membership, Marketing and Communications Responsibilities:

This role will involve providing strategic oversight of the direction and delivery of high-quality marketing communications, upholding the reputation of the brand, and ensuring the office provides excellent communication and customer service to its members, volunteers and external audiences across digital and print media.

The post holder will work closely with the Senior Management Team, and wider office staff, alongside external contacts, professional body counterparts and a variety of suppliers to ensure a coordinated delivery of their strategic plan and annual business objectives.

Director of Membership, Marketing and Communications Requirements:

The post holder will have an excellent strategic membership and communications background with experience in identifying recruitment and retention opportunities or threats, delivering recruitment and retention campaigns, overseeing the quality of member services, and effectively managing membership, marketing and communication budgets.

Our client is the only body in the UK representing the whole of the dietetic workforce. They are a trade union and professional body representing the professional, educational, public and workplace interests of their members. Founded in 1936, they are one of the oldest and most experienced dietetic organisations in the world.

Location: Based in central Birmingham, with national coverage and some flexible home working.

Job Type: Full Time, 12-month fixed-term maternity cover starting November 2020. We may also consider working flexibly, job share, or part-time.

Salary: £42,507 - £47,791 per annum (full time 36 hours per week).
