Yorkshire Wildlife Trust are seeking an inspirational, energetic and experienced Membership Team Supervisor to lead our high-performing in-house team of membership recruiters (face-to-face fundraisers) from the front.
You will operate on the very front line of our charitable nature conservation mission, directing and supporting our specialist team to consistently achieve their financial targets by recruiting new members face-to-face, whilst also utilising your strong sales skills and friendly and persuasive personality to inspire the public to take urgent action for wildlife and wild places through membership. In so doing, you’ll demonstrate first-hand to the team what can be achieved in terms of performance and set a standard against which the team is held accountable.
You will be an effective ambassador and advocate for the Trust’s work throughout Yorkshire, have excellent sales skills and a successful track record in delivering exemplary customer or supporter care. Highly proficient in the use of office-based computing software, you’ll also hold a full driving licence, have access to a personal vehicle with business insurance, and be willing to travel regularly between some of Yorkshire’s most iconic wild places.

Yorkshire Wildlife Trust are looking for chatty and confident nature lovers to join our successful team and inspire the public to take urgent action for wildlife and wild places through membership.
You will be on the very front line of our charitable nature conservation mission, utilising your strong sales skills and your friendly and persuasive personality to encourage people to give us their financial support to bring about nature’s vital recovery.
A typical working day will revolve around enthusing everyone you meet to take small and manageable steps to becoming a force for nature. You will work at a variety of events and locations across Yorkshire, including our very own nature reserves, farmers' markets, shopping centres, country shows and major festivals. Here you will pass on your passion for our charity's work and inspire people to support us with the help of a fully-branded gazebo and interactive display set up.
Experience in sales and fundraising within either the private or charity sector would be a distinct advantage, through full training and support will be given. You will represent us in a professional manner at all times, understand and adhere to fundraising regulations and keep up to date with our work by conducting your own research and attending team meetings, both virtually and in-person.

We’re looking for a fundraising assistant role to support the Investments and Partnerships team and in particular the donor development and special events coordinators. This role will help SIA ensure that donations are processed accurately and quickly as well as support the events teams to look after fundraisers.
In close collaboration with the donor development coordinator, you will help to grow, diversify, and sustain fundraising income as part of the wider business development team, feeding into our 2030 strategy.

In this role you will play a vital administrative role supporting the Investments and Partnerships team and in particular the donor development and special events coordinators. The Investments and Partnerships Team delivers the charity’s fundraising activities, securing voluntary income to fund services for spinal cord injured people. This role will help SIA ensure that donations are processed accurately and quickly as well as support the events teams to look after fundraisers. The fundraising assistant will also support administrative tasks associated with delivering special events. This is an entry level role into fundraising and is a great opportunity to learn how various departments operate within a charity fundraising team.

The Council for At-Risk Academics is a UK-registered charity founded in 1933 under the leadership of William Beveridge, to rescue academics suffering persecution under the rise of Nazism and facilitate their continued work in safety. Sixteen Cara Fellows from the 1930s and 1940s became Nobel Laureates, and many more innovators in their fields, including, Nikolaus Pevsner, Lise Meitner and Karl Popper. A number of Cara’s founders and Council members also personally provided places and/or funds to help individual academics; and Cara, known in the 1930s as the AAC, later the SPSL, was closely involved in the successful effort in 1933 to bring to London the Warburg Institute art library, which had been prohibited by the Nazis, and six of its staff. Fellowship Programme Officer Role & Responsibilities
Casework
- Provide support for a caseload of at-risk academics (Cara Fellows) carrying out research placements at UK or international universities
- Assess Fellows’ suitability for academic placements/extensions
- Assess, arrange or signpost additional support for Fellows
- Develop relationships with universities and other partner organisations
- Secure fee waivers, bursaries & in-kind support from universities, research institutes and other funding bodies.
- Provide logistical support for visa processes, travel, etc.
- Write and send official documents to Fellows
- Request relevant invoices and produce documentation needed to make payments
- Attend weekly case meetings with the team
Administration
- Provide support to the drafting of reports to funders

Purpose of role
FareShare South West’s (FSSW) fundraising strategy and income streams have developed and diversified rapidly in line with major growth since 2017. Individual giving (IG) became a new major fundraising stream for us during the pandemic and is essential for ongoing sustainability as we expand and launch new programmes and operations to fight hunger and food waste.
The Supporter Care Officer (SCO) is responsible for all donor support processes, systems, strategies and individual giving fundraising appeals, which ensure we have excellent relationships with our donors to retain and grow our IG income. Powerful narratives, storytelling and engagement with donors is crucial to ensure that our funding need and impact is shared with supporters.
The SCO will work with the Fundraising Manager (FM) and Chief Fundraising and Communications Officer (CFCO) to grow our major donor, regular giving, appeal and legacy income alongside sustaining our irregular giving and Gift Aid income. The SCO will work with the Fundraising Assistant to thank supporters, record donations and support individuals with their own fundraising events.
The pay scale for this role reflects that we're open to applications from experienced Supporter Care and Individual Giving fundraisers, and also those looking to move into the sector who have transferable skills.

Mid-Level Giving Officer
Position Objective:
The Mid-Level Giving Officer will support PETA’s impact and growth through their work with an exciting portfolio of mid-level donors typically giving £250 - £999 size gifts. They will be responsible for managing all aspects of cultivating, stewarding and soliciting from this pool of valued supporters, including Vanguard Society Members, to provide a first-rate donor experience while deepening members’ engagement and financial support. The Mid-Level Giving Officer will also work collaboratively with other departments to enhance the mid-level donor experience, identify and refer major donor prospects to the appropriate team members, and ensure that efficient processes are in place.

Primary Duties and Responsibilities:
- Manage and maintain a portfolio of Vanguard Society donors and prospects
- Creating engaging donor journeys and presenting opportunities for deeper engagement
- Develop and implement donor-specific plans of strategic communication touches by phone, email and mail. This will include updates on PETA’s progress and victories, messages of gratitude, invitations to events, and asks to donors to increase their financial support.
- Manage a portfolio of Vanguard Society and mid-level donors, each giving £250 + or with the capacity to make annual gifts at a higher level (at one time as well as cumulatively), including cultivating and stewarding each donor to increase their engagement and giving.
- Solicit and close gifts from assigned mid-level donors.
- Regularly qualify new prospects and donors in their capacity, inclination, affinity, and readiness to give.
- Track and achieve key activity and revenue metrics, while meeting weekly with the manager to report on progress, challenges, and opportunities.
- Ensure that mid-level donors’ database records are updated in a timely fashion. Document pertinent information (meetings, correspondence, notes, etc.) for the purpose of enhancing and developing PETA's donor database.
- Coordinate and collaborate with other teams and colleagues, including legacy, direct response, data, prospect research and communications, to enhance the donor experience and ensure that efficient processes are in place.
- Stay up-to-date on mid-level fundraising techniques and methods used in the nonprofit sector and attend professional-training opportunities as well as weekly coaching and progress reporting meetings
- Conduct oneself in a professional, friendly and truthful manner to donors.
- Perform any other duties requested by the supervisor.
- Acknowledge, thank and recognise donors appropriate to their level of support, and ensure restricted gifts are appropriately allocated
- Work with key PETA staff to find ways to engage donors in our mission, including by meeting supporters face to face or over the phone
- Monitor donors’ motivations and help to contribute to tailor cultivation events
- Maintain a clear understanding of – and the ability to articulate – PETA's objectives as well as details of specific PETA programmes
- Keep all donors in the portfolio up to date on the campaigns and initiatives of PETA and our affiliates
- Document pertinent information for the purpose of enhancing and developing donor profiles, including demographic, donation, correspondence, membership, and personal information for Vanguard Society members
- Maintain and expand knowledge of relevant departmental software (e.g. Raiser’s Edge, NXT, etc) in order to improve communication with donors
- Assist with the preparation and proofreading of mailings and other communications, as needed
- Monitor the acknowledgment process at Woods, working closely with staff to ensure that acknowledgements and welcome packs are sent out efficiently and that queries are passed to us within the agreed timeframe
- Maintain strict confidentiality at all times
- Perform and manage any other projects or duties requested by the supervisor

The ideal candidate would have a good understanding of the healthcare sector, particularly in relation to nursing and patient care.
