Ruils is a user-led charity that supports disabled adults and people with long-term health and/or mental health conditions to live independently, be part of their community and live life to the full. We provide information, advice, practical support, befriending and accessible activities to our clients and families.

We are working with the SWL ICB and local GPs to deliver an exciting new service within Hampton North. The Community Health and Wellbeing Worker will speak to households about health and wellbeing, alongside offering support to connect people to services and activities in their local community. The role aims to empower people to take control of their lives.

It involves working with people who may be experiencing a number of issues, so you will need outstanding listening and communication skills, empathy and enthusiasm. You will need excellent organisational skills, be adept at seeking out information for relevant community services and have the tenacity to help people achieve sustainable improvements in their wellbeing.

Main duties include:

• Managing a caseload of households, providing monthly home visits and providing a continuous point of contact for all members of the household.
• Working with the client to assess their needs, create personalised action plans and locate support within the community.
• Supporting clients to prioritise and address practical, health, social and emotional issues in their lives which affect their wellbeing.
• Engaging with community organisations and specialist services that provide support to ease the pathway for your clients.
• Building and maintaining relationships with primary care networks, GPs, health care professionals and services across the borough.

 We are recruiting a Project Coordinator to oversee the delivery and development of a flagship Community Wellbeing Project, which operates in partnership with Brent Council. The project is a Community Hub hosted in a community space in Stonebridge (not in Sufra’s existing premises). Members of the project can access a Community Shop, a Community Café and Kitchen, and holistic support in the form of Advice casework and workshops. The objective of the project is to deliver food aid alongside wraparound holistic support in way that improves the financial, physical and mental wellbeing of its members, who are struggling with the cost of living.

This collaborative project has been made possible due to the support of multiple partners and has already proven highly successful. It is likely to form the basis of a new model of support for people experiencing vulnerabilities that will be replicated across Brent and possibly elsewhere in London.

The Project Coordinator will oversee the delivery of the project, ensuring both the shop and the café operate effectively and in accordance with agreed standards and procedures. The successful candidate will help shape the project in the months ahead, whilst supporting guests, collecting data, and monitoring and evaluating the project. The ideal candidate will have experience working in a busy and varied environment, managing multiple priorities at the same time. They will have experience in a customer-facing role, dealing with the general public and managing volunteers. It would be beneficial for the post holder to have experience supporting vulnerable people with complex needs from a wide variety of backgrounds. The successful candidate will be the first point of contact for members that sign onto the pilot project, and will be representing the organisation to external partners. In this job, you will play a vital role in driving up awareness of the Mental Health Charter with businesses, organisations, and service providers across the borough of Barnet.

To begin with, you’ll use your organisational and project management skills to work with the steering group to create an action plan. The Hammersmith and Fulham service comprises of one high support hostel and two medium support hostels, housing 24 people experiencing mental ill health who may also have other complex support needs including substance use and offending behaviour or who may present with behaviours which can challenge.

About the role:

The primary role of the project is to enable clients to understand their emotional and mental health needs and manage these effectively. The Project Worker will also support clients to develop their living skills, develop & manage relationships, build social networks and access education, training or employment, by completing comprehensive needs and risk assessments with clients and identifying short-term objectives.

The projects provide support 24 hours a day and are staffed by a Night Concierge and Project Workers, this requires regular weekend working. All work undertaken will be in line with planned support. Staff are responsible for making sure that clients are actively involved in the process and that the support offered is full and holistic.

About you:

• Demonstrable experience of working with people experiencing mental health problems and other complex needs.
• A demonstrable understanding of Mental Health Legislation and how it can be applied.
• A good understanding of safeguarding issues and the ability to undertake comprehensive risk assessments related to this.
• A working knowledge of Housing Management as applied to a residential setting, and an understanding of the rights and responsibilities associated with various forms of tenure including excluded licenses.
• A demonstrable understanding of the Recovery Model, and the ability to engage and motivate people to move towards independence and inclusion.
• A proven ability to work in partnership with external stakeholders, particularly community mental health services and/or substance use services.
• A proven ability to create and deliver SMART action plans with clients through high quality risk and needs assessment.
• A level of numeracy sufficient to carry out tasks such as budgeting with clients, calculating benefit entitlements and monitoring rent payment.

Betknowmore UK is collaborating with partner organisations to work as part of a wider team, on the delivery of the Armed Forces Gambling Harms Support Network (AFGHSN). The work will include the provision of training and gambling awareness activities, helping to raise and address the subject of harmful gambling. Working and engaging with armed forces support and personnel services, individuals harmed by gambling, their wider network, stakeholders, and other relevant groups within the veteran and active armed forces communities, the aim is to create trained personnel able to support the work of the AFGHSN.​

A key aspect of the role will be working with individuals experiencing gambling harms, requiring an empathetic and compassionate approach and awareness of the complex issues being addressed. A robust management of safeguarding and safe working practices is essential.​

It is essential that you are based within one hour travelling time of London, as extensive travel to London and the UK is expected.

Role Purpose

An armed forces veteran or someone closely involved with the armed forces (a family member for example), the post holder will also have a unique insight on gambling harms, and their impact on health and wellbeing specifically within the military.

The Armed Forces Peer Aid Coordinator will initially prioritise engaging with veterans and military organisations to deliver the AFGHSN training programme, along with gambling awareness activities. The purpose is to upskill key armed forces personnel and those in connected communities, enabling and enhancing their knowledge, skills and confidence to address gambling harms. ​

The second key responsibility is to recruit, train and support Peer Supporters to deliver safe, effective support for individuals and their networks that have been harmed by gambling. It is expected that Peer Supporters will be individuals with ‘lived experience’ of gambling harm themselves or as an ‘affected other’.​

The post holder will work with the Head of Peer Support Services to support the development and maintenance of the systems and structure of the service, ensuring that governance and polices are implemented, safeguarding and safe working practices are strictly adhered to, and a clear understanding established of how the service integrates with other support and treatment networks.​

The AFGHSN Peer Aid team will ensure that the support and working relationships are safe and secure, and the health and wellbeing of all participants is intact. Peer Support will be in a befriending capacity and should be provided with a considered and transparent approach. Other support activities will be developed, such as group support and weekly meet ups.​

Stakeholder management is essential to the role, as is establishing and maintaining relationships within the AFGHSN, alongside confident communication skills to deliver presentations and other promotions within armed forces community, education and health centres to help grow and evolve the service.

The Role
We are looking for a Training and Development Coordinator to join us, who has strong communication skills and excellent organisational ability. You may have experience in coordinating a training programme or developing business leads for ongoing training or sales opportunities. You will help Viv Gordon Company to develop, market and sell existing training centred around An ABC of CSA and recruit, support and coordinate a small team of trainers. Reporting to (and with the support of) the company’s Executive Producer, this will include:

• Develop contacts and leads for training bookings via email, phone calls and relevant networking events

We are advertising for a Family Coordinator to join our small, amazing charity. Working alongside our team of Family Coordinators, you will oversee the work of our home-visiting volunteers, ensuring that the support they provide to families is targeted, high quality and empowers them to reach their goals.

You will also lead the delivery of our domestic abuse work. This includes the development and delivery of the Freedom Programme; a 7-week course to help survivors of domestic abuse understand and recover from their experiences. 

We are looking for a well-organised person, familiar with office systems, who can demonstrate empathy and good communication and interpersonal skills. Parenting experience, experience of working with disadvantaged families and survivors of domestic abuse would be advantageous.

This role involves significant amounts of travel around Lambeth visiting families and attending meetings. Reasonable travel expenses, other than from home to base, will be reimbursed. This is an exciting new role to develop a peer support group for people recently diagnosed with dementia and their family carers and to co produce a programme of activities so that they can continue to engage in stimulating activities in the community.

This role has been developed as a response to consultation on what people in Newham living with dementia want in order to live well with the disease. The successful candidate will be working with a small team of communitiy dementia support colleagues.

About the opportunity

Fundraising is critical to delivering our mission and ensuring we can support as many children and young people facing disadvantage to open doors to their future.  The Philanthropy Team as a whole has a combined target income for the current year (2023-24) of £1.83 million (growing to £2.35m as our target for next year), of which approximately £850k is from corporate donors and their foundations, £100k is from individuals, and the remaining from trusts and foundations. We have been successful year on year in increasing our fundraising base by building secure multi-year partnerships.
 

We are looking for a Fundraising Manager to work within our passionate Philanthropy Team to help grow our fundraised income and develop and maintain an effective, high-quality funding pipeline. Duties and responsibilities

· Work with the CEO, Head of Philanthropy and Corporate Partnerships Manager to ensure Action Tutoring’s fundraising targets are met and manage an effective pipeline across Action Tutoring’s different income streams.
 

· Manage and maintain existing funder relationships, including proactive and requested reporting to donors.
 

· Work closely with the Head of Philanthropy and Corporate Partnerships Manager to identify relevant opportunities for collaboration that promote generating income. Alongside your team, support, prepare and provide expertise on applications for corporate funding opportunities identified by the Corporate Partnerships Team.
 

· Working with your Fundraising Coordinators, research and drive new opportunities for multi-year commitments from trusts and foundations, sharing workload between the team.
 

· Lead on the preparation and submission of high-quality, effective applications, with support from the Fundraising Coordinators. 
 

· Monitor when grants are due for renewal and proactively seek out renewal conversations, ensuring Action Tutoring has a healthy funding pipeline. 

· Work with the Fundraising Coordinator for Campaigns, Events and Individual Giving to build Action Tutoring’s income generated from events, ensuring an attractive range of event options across the country. Manage the Fundraising Coordinator to ensure places are secured, participants are supported and engagement is expanded.
 

· Work with  Fundraising Coordinator for Campaigns, Events and Individual Giving to build Action Tutoring’s income generated from individual giving, developing campaigns for driving more regular giving and building our strategies to cultivate, engage and thank individuals. 
 

· Act as a system manager for fundraising platforms, databases and tools including Just Giving and the Giving Block, with support from Fundraising Coordinators.
 

· Oversee the development of the fundraising area of the website and fundraising pack to attract new funders and fundraisers to the charity, with support from the Fundraising Coordinators.
 

· Manage the Fundraising Coordinators, ensuring they are growing and developing, and that work load is shared fairly. 
 

· Represent Action Tutoring at relevant meetings and events.
 

· Alongside your team, prepare applications for corporate funding opportunities identified by the Corporate Partnerships Team.
 

· Ensure accurate record-keeping of corporate partnerships and relationships on Salesforce and any other relevant systems.
 

· Any other ad hoc responsibilities as deemed relevant by the CEO.

Person specification

This role requires an ambitious, passionate and determined individual with outstanding written and verbal communication skills. Alongside your team you will be responsible for writing and submitting grant applications and reports, so an excellent understanding of the English language and a keen eye for detail are crucial for success within this position. Working to deadlines and line-managing three Fundraising Coordinators, exceptional time-management, prioritisation and organisation skills are essential. With a focus on developing our individual giving strategies, we’re looking for an individual with excellent interpersonal skills. 
 

Qualifications criteria:

· A*-C in maths and English at GCSE (or equivalent experience).
 

· Right to work in the UK.
 

We are looking for some of the following attributes, though you might be more experienced in some areas than others: 
 

· At least two years experience in fundraising (preferably within trusts and foundations fundraising).
 

· Proven track record in securing and stewarding 5+ figure partnerships.
 

· Outstanding written and verbal communicator with significant experience writing and submitting grant applications and reports.
 

You will be likely be more successful in this role if you have:
 

· You have a proven track record of securing and stewarding grants of 5+ figure funding.
 

· You have a passion for educational inequality/working within the Third Sector.
 

· Line management experience.
 

· Experience in event and campaign fundraising.
 

· Experience working within a charity with a turnover of £3M or more.

About the Project

Hertfordshire Mind Network is proud to provide early intervention support to children and young people experiencing poor mental health across Hertfordshire. We provide a combination of support through psychoeducational workshops, open access, 1:1 and group support.

We are expanding our provision, to offer drop in, open access community support to 10–18-year-olds across the county who need someone to talk to about their mental health in that moment. This space will offer timely support, in a person-centred, trauma informed way.

The objectives of Hertfordshire Mind Network’s Herts Haven Café service are:

• To improve the mental wellbeing of children and young people experiencing mental health issues, including crisis presentations, in Hertfordshire.
• To provide drop in, no referral required, timely support to 10-18 year olds.
• To support children and young people in Hertfordshire to access community based mental health help.
• To increase early access to help for people experiencing mental health crisis in Hertfordshire, by providing a clear and effective pathway to services provided across the CYP MHS system.

About the Role:

The key purpose of this post is to be an integral member of staff delivering the Herts Haven Café service, facilitating drop-in mental health support for children and young people aged 10-18. As a practitioner you will meet the varying needs of the individual, as they present, meaning no day may look the same.

A person-centred approach will be maintained, and this role is pivotal to ensuring CYP have a warm and welcoming space to turn to. You will be working as a team to facilitate support, deliver brief mental health interventions, signposting, and ensure timely information, guidance and referrals are provided for ongoing support.

Key Responsibilities

• To play an integral role in instilling HMN’s values throughout the Herts Haven Cafe Service.
• To play a key part in the development and delivery of quality CYP mental health support services.
• To provide consistent and clear communication to the team, working proactively and with initiative.
• To be part of a cooperative and collaborative team that is flexible and adaptable to changing requirements.
• To deliver 1:1 and group interventions, depending on need, flexibly and creatively.
• To ensure that every individual accessing the service receives, safe and trusted support.
• To create and review risk assessments, wellness plans, crisis support plans, safety plans, as well as signposting resources, as required.
• To proactively recognise indicators of deteriorating mental health and facilitate appropriate action, whilst liaising with relevant agencies e.g., C-CATT, Emergency Duty Teams, CYP MHS, etc.
• To work alongside Crisis Teams in line with joint protocols, where required, to support those individuals experiencing a mental health crisis.
• To signpost and refer effectively into other Herts Mind Network services, as well as alternative VCFSE and statutory organisations.

Pause works with women who have experienced – or are at risk of – repeated pregnancies that result in children needing to be removed from their care. The programme gives women the chance to pause and take control over their lives, breaking a destructive cycle that causes both them and their children deep trauma. We are now working with more women who have experienced multiple removals than anyone else in the country.

The Pause Practice Lead will manage one of our largest teams – six Pause Practitioners and one Coordinator. The Practice Lead will ensure effective delivery of the Pause programme – they will work alongside their team, bringing a wealth of direct practice experience of complex work to maximise the team’s potential. 

The Practice Lead will provide high levels of supervision and leadership to team members from a variety of disciplines, as well ensuring fidelity and integrity to the model. They will typically have significant experience in both operational and project management, with an ability to manage complex data and demonstrate impact. Additionally, they will usually have experience of evidence informed approaches.

Key responsibilities

• Effectively lead and coach the Pause Practice to achieve positive outcomes for women - setting vision, targets and priorities;
• Ensure fidelity and integrity to the model through delivery of the Pause Framework elements, for example, assertive outreach with women and ensuring the most effective form of long-acting reversible contraception is in place;
• Ensure effective pathways are established and maintained with key agencies, e.g. sexual health, housing and mental health;
• Ensure an evidence base is applied to practice through assessment of a woman's needs, case formulation, intervention delivery and review;
• Ensure outcomes are achieved and monitored through the Pause Monitoring, Evaluation and Learning Framework and that real-time data is used to improve practice and reported to relevant funders;
• Report to the Local Pause Board and any other relevant funders;
• Manage expenditure of the Pause Practice and ensure any financial spend on women is aligned with their goals as set out in the care plan;
• Ensure the effective management of all statutory requirements related to the Pause Practice at all times, including safeguarding of vulnerable children and adults, and health and safety of staff;
• Represent Pause to external stakeholders;
• Embed continuous learning ethos within the Pause Practice.
