Location: Liverpool or hybrid
Contract: 3-6 months interim
Salary: Day rate, negotiable with a guideline of £300-500 per day
About the organisation
The organisational motto is 'the same rights, different needs'. This charity believes that every individual has the right to access services available to them. They help services to understand that every individual is just that, an individual who has varying levels of support needs. They advocate for fair and just treatment for communities facing racial inequalities. The organisation was set up specifically to meet the needs of the racialised and immigrant communities in Liverpool's L8.
In 2022/23, their services supported over 600 individuals and families across Liverpool, including an increase in newly arrived asylum seekers and refugees needing to access services. While the organisation wants to remain responsive to the prevailing needs of a changing community, they also want to ensure that they stay true to the origins of the organisation in tackling the gross inequities faced to this present day, predominantly by Black people in the mental health system.
About the role
The overarching aim is to stabilise and strengthen the organisation, with a view to attracting and retaining a strong candidate for the permanent CEO role.
The Board will work with the interim CEO to deliver the following short-medium term objectives:

- Create an interim strategy and lay the groundwork for the permanent CEO to develop a comprehensive 3-5 year strategy.
- Agree annual business plan objectives to deliver against strategic plan.
- Review the systems, processes and staffing which underpin the organisation, looking for opportunities to improve, develop and renew.
- Work closely with the board to establish and roll out sustainable systems for sound governance.
About you
You understand the social determinants of mental health and the inequalities and injustices faced by Black and racialised people within the mental health system.
You're a self-starter with a track record of successful leadership track-record, ideally with interim experience although this isn't essential.
You're experienced in navigating and supporting teams through organisational change
You create inclusive and culturally sensitive environments and lead from a place of integrity and authenticity.
We invite anyone who does not have lived experience of racialisation/oppression linked to their racial or ethnic identity to reflect on their suitability for this role before applying, and to address this in your approach if you do.
If you'd like to learn more about this opportunity, then we'd love hear from you. Please send a copy of your profile or CV to Amelia Lee at Charity People as the first step.
Deadline: Due to the time sensitive nature of this recruit and the pace of the interim market, we'll be recruiting this role on a rolling basis.

We do this because we know greater diversity will lead to even greater results for the charities we work with.
You have recent experience within the mental health field (or a related area) and know how the use of IPS (Individual Placement and Support) can help the people we support to find paid employment and have awareness of the Recovery and Personalisation agenda. All you need is the perfect environment to put your skills to great use. Welcome to Richmond Fellowship as an Employment Specialist.
We need someone like you to join the team at our Hammersmith & Fulham Employment Service. We support people living with mental health problems to develop a sense of independence, purpose and fulfilment; to develop their social networks and gain the skills they need to return to work or training where this is their goal. But we need your help. Your challenge? You will support the delivery of our Employment Service which will see you focus on motivating, supporting and providing person-centred advice and guidance to people receiving support to enable them to move into suitable and sustainable work.
As well as a good understanding of people with mental health problems, you have experience of networking/liaising with local employers and the initiative to develop and promote a service. Customer focused, well organised and collaborative in approach, you are a great administrator and pride yourself on your word processing skills and ability to keep accurate computer records/use a database. A flexible approach to working to ensure effective service delivery is essential.
This is a full-time role requiring the post holder to work 37.5 hours per week.

About the PVRI
We’re a small charity with a global reach and an important purpose: to reduce the burden of pulmonary vascular disease.
PVD is a serious condition which can lead to heart damage and trigger symptoms like breathlessness, chest pain, fatigue, poor growth, fainting and light-headedness. It can reduce both quality of life and length of life, but it isn’t widely recognised, or well-understood.
We bring together an international network of professionals to improve clinical care, education and PVD research. The network comprises thousands of clinicians, scientists, academics and industry partners, supported by our small team in Bermondsey, London. Together we deliver conferences, e-learning, an academic journal, and we raise awareness of the condition.
Much of the work is done by international working groups, and we’re seeking a new Project Coordinator to provide administrative and project support to those groups.
About the role
The job involves co-ordinating and servicing meetings across different time zones, maintaining workgroup records, developing surveys, pulling together academic papers for publication, event planning, and project work.
We’re looking for someone with excellent organisational and administrative skills, strong interpersonal skills and the ability to write and adapt complex information to produce clear, accurate and accessible documents in English. You’ll need strong IT skills, and the ability to juggle competing demands with efficiency, tact and good humour. You can find details of all these activities on our website.
What we can offer
We offer a 35-hour working week and flexible working, a positive learning culture, international travel, and opportunities for you to learn and grow in your role. And for those who prefer hybrid working, we’re based in a vibrant, sociable office space close to London Bridge and Borough Market. You will need to be able to travel to London for the occasional meeting.
The PVRI celebrates diversity and we’re committed to equality and inclusion in our recruitment practices and in our ways of working. If you’re excited about our mission, and can bring talent and enthusiasm to our cause, we’d love to hear from you.

About us
Synchronicity Earth is a UK-based, global environmental charity which funds work that aims to make our planet a better place to live for all its inhabitants.
We are a medium-sized charity which supports partners working to protect less well-known species and ecosystems around the world that receive less attention but face the greatest threats. We do this through our Conservation Programmes, which identify, fund, and support organisations with a focus on: Amphibians, Asian Species, Congo Basin, Biocultural Diversity, Freshwater, and Ocean. We also support work across two other areas: the More than Carbon initiative, a portfolio of climate and biodiversity projects targeted at corporate donors; and the Synchronicity Portfolio, which aims to foster systemic change to promote a greater focus on biodiversity conservation within different sectors. Our partners are mostly organisations embedded within their local communities, and we often support work which also considers social impacts such as women’s health and empowerment, engagement with Indigenous Peoples and local communities, and sustainable livelihoods (e.g., small-scale fisheries) in addition to wildlife conservation.
