We are looking for an energetic and creative person to organise and deliver a calendar of engaging and inspiring energy and climate themed events and outreach activities across East Sussex. The events will cover the following themes: saving and sharing energy, insulation, solar and batteries, renewable heat, funding energy efficiency measures, creating healthy and mould-free homes etc.

Responsibilities

- Work in collaboration with the ESC team and stakeholders to design a programme of inspiring energy and climate themed events in Hastings, Rother, Eastbourne, and Wealden, reaching a total of 1000 residents across the year.

- Create engagement opportunities for your team at the events and activities of other organisations and local groups by networking and working with the Communications and Marketing person to promote our services.

- Find interesting speakers and organisations to participate in our events.

- Create public events for our No One Left Behind project, finding new, exciting ways to engage the public in conversation about energy and climate topics.

- Manage the administration and logistics of the events, including room bookings, ticket booking processes, etc.

- Look for opportunities to invite our funder along to events and participate in the activities.

- Manage relationships with staff team and volunteer Energy Champions on local events.

- Create event plans and risk assessments for each event.

- Work with the Marketing and Communications Officer and local volunteers to plan PR and promotion of events to agreed timelines.

- Create and work to agreed budgets.

- Ensure you are collecting the data needed to monitor and evaluate the project.

- Create inclusivity in the event registration and attendance experience to support people with a variety of needs.

- Ensure events feed into the wider work and services of Energise Sussex Coast.

- Provide event reports to manager detailing the number of attendees, write-up of the event, and feedback.

- Provide general assistance with ESC events and projects as required.

- Adhere to Energise Sussex Coast’s policies around safeguarding, data protection, etc.

- Attend monthly in-person team meetings in Hastings.

Key Details

• Hours: 30 hours a week, flexible working. Will include some evening and weekend work.
• Job location: Home based (or optional hot desk in Hastings) with regular events in Hastings, Rother, Eastbourne and Wealden. This is a new role for the Circuit, replacing a volunteer. In designing the position, the Circuit has aimed for maximum flexibility to secure the best candidate for the role. Initially, the person will need physically to attend some meetings to familiarise themselves with the Circuit's operations and ensure a smooth hand-over. For the right person, though, there will be considerable flexibility about how the duties are fulfilled in the longer-term. It is specifically expected that the role will allow for flexible scheduling to accommodate other responsibilities, including caring.

The Richmond & Hounslow Circuit comprises seven churches in southwest London. As with all Methodist circuits, these churches function autonomously yet collaborate closely in their ministry and mission efforts. The Circuit oversees joint resources, including staff and property. Presently, it employs four full-time ordained ministers, one full-time lay pastor, and a part-time administrator. As a part of the Methodist Church, its mission is “to respond to the gospel of God’s love in Christ and to live out its discipleship in worship and mission”. To fulfil this mission, the Circuit fosters a broad spectrum of ministry within its congregations, focusing on worship but also engaging in outreach to the homeless, asylum seekers, new parents, and various other groups. About us

World Jewish Relief has been successfully delivering our refugee employment programme, STEP, for over seven years. Research into this programme showed that women were dropping out more often than men, not moving through the programme as fast as men, and not getting the same level of job outcomes. As a result, STEP Forward was created to specifically address the barriers to integration faced by women.

The aim is for women refugees to make informed decisions about their lives and their continued pathways in the UK. In April 2023, a new phase of the programme was launched with a target to support 315 women until April 2026 in Coventry, Bradford, and Leeds.

Project Details

We are seeking a Monitoring and Evaluation consultant(s) to assess STEP Forward programme effectiveness, identify areas for improvement, and provide recommendations for enhancement. The consultant(s) will be responsible to produce three monitoring reports between 2024 and 2026.

Specific tasks:  

• Conduct a thorough desk review of all relevant project documents. 
• Design and implement a systematic approach for data collection, both quantitative and qualitative. 
• Engage key stakeholders, including partners and clients, through surveys, focus groups, and individual interviews, including site visits to Coventry, Bradford and Leeds. 
• Leverage various data collection tools to gather quantitative and qualitative data.

The NI is looking for its next Events Officer to oversee the setting up and online booking of a range of events – mainly conferences and dinners – as well as overseeing the subscriptions to its Journal. The role is a busy one and the person recruited with require good experience with events booking CRMs as well as working with volunteers and other team members in a small team.

Responsibilities

Main duties include:

Manage all event bookings administration, including:

o Set up of online booking for events through CRM

o Set up and maintain webpages for each event through CMS adding sponsor logos and additional information as required.

o Ensuring invoices for events are issued and paid, updating any on CRM that were issued manually including sponsorship events

o Ensuring relevant communications such as joining instructions are circulated to attendees

o Issue sponsorship contracts, invoices and monitor payments of same

o Providing support for delivery of events including producing delegate lists, dietary requirements etc

o Liaising with suppliers and stakeholders to ensure all events run smoothly.

Manage the admin and event email inboxes, answering all queries in a timely and professional fashion; forwarding queries to colleagues as appropriate where outside your area of expertise.

Assist in maintaining the CRM to ensure data quality eg by removing duplicates, amending incorrect details, updating information and resolving login issues.

Work closely with the Branch Representatives and the Marketing and Communications Manager to set up all events including paid-for and free-to-attend, plus any external suppliers where necessary.

Manage all journal subscriptions including renewals and responding to subscription enquiries.

Actively recruit new subscribers for Nuclear Future.

Manage credit control for events and journal subscriptions and actively work to manage debtors ensuring all invoices are paid.

Undertake any ad-hoc tasks as directed by the CEO to ensure a smooth-running organisation.

Position summary

SAT-7 is currently looking to recruit a Development Officer to join SAT-7s Development Department.

The purpose of SAT-7 is to provide Christian television and digital media services to support the work and witness of the church in the Middle East and North Africa.

SAT-7’s Development department works with projects to address often controversial issues in the MENA region such as disability, discrimination, limited educational opportunities, women’s and children’s rights through the TV-programs and through on the ground partners.

The successful candidate will be responsible for monitoring and reporting on the activities of SAT-7 PARS, SAT-7’s Farsi speaking channel, including the drafting of fundraising proposals.

Summary of key responsibilities

• Development of fundraising proposals for SAT-7 PARS’ channel projects in cooperation with all relevant SAT-7 stakeholders
• Conduct frequent MENA context analysis with special focus on the situation for Christians, FoRB, women, children, disabilities, education etc.
• Monitoring and managing the correct implementation of the projects (scope, budget, schedule, quality etc.)
• Manage and ensure the necessary reporting of SAT-7 PARS projects carried out with restricted funds.
• Management and development of the portfolio of SAT-7 social-impact projects in line with Communications for Development approach

Qualifications and requirements

• Be a proficient communication writer able to express SAT-7’s Christian identity to corporate and statutory funders.
• Outstanding English writing/speaking skills.

All Aboard Youth Rowing – formerly known as Warrington Youth Rowing – is a charity established to support disadvantaged children achieve life skills using the sport of rowing.  An exciting opportunity has arisen for a creative fundraising professional to coordinate and achieve additional funding.

The Role

The Fundraising Officer will coordinate all fundraising activities in line with the Charity’s overall strategy and sustainability plans.  Working closely with the Chief Executive Officer, the Fundraising Officer will identify sources of income and build good working relationships with funders to achieve agreed funding targets.

The role is based in the North-West of England working from home and ideally, the Fundraising Officer will be in one of the following locations:

About the Organisation

The Charity has a desire to grow and become more sustainable, the Fundraising Officer will play a key role in achieving this ambition.  The aim of the Charity is to enhance the life skills of disadvantaged youngsters using the sport of rowing.  The charity works closely with Henley Stewards Charitable Trust and British Rowing to help achieve this aim.

GFS is a feminist organisation with a mission to empower girls and young women in England and Wales to live their best lives. Girls as young as 6 tell us that they cannot be themselves. This causes problems for them and society. So, we offer an early intervention service for girls living in areas of deprivation to have the greatest impact.

We're looking for a Senior Project Officer, to work in our Innovation and Practice team and support exemplary, agile project management across Involve. 

This is an exciting time to join the Involve team. Alongside increasing public and political interest in our approaches, we are increasing the size and impact of our project work. We have a couple of new multifaceted projects which need really effective and agile project management. As a Senior Project Officer you will contribute to all aspects of our delivery, with a particular focus on project and programme management of larger projects. Your main focus will be on:

• Project management and delivery - core project management and logistics, running onboarding for participants, event management, analysis and reporting, and facilitation

• Building our project management approach further - supporting Involve to build our project management capacity and resources that are appropriate for our creative, inclusive processes and culture

• Project and programme design - working with project teams to design entire projects and processes which use deliberative, qualitative and participatory methods

• Project impact - recording and monitoring how our projects work, the kinds of impacts they have, and the ways they contribute to Involve’s mission. 

This Senior Project Officer role sits in our Innovation and Practice Function. Our team’s daily work includes setting up, managing, designing, delivering and reporting on a wide range of participatory and deliberative processes, ranging from small scale, hyper-local community engagements to large, national, multi-event Citizens’ Assemblies and longer term projects. Our processes can be face to face, hybrid, or online, and often involve bringing together different groups from within the public with interested parties and experts from across government, business , academia and civil society.

In addition, you would work closely with our Capacity Building and Standards team to support their work helping others to deliver these approaches and contribute to our communications and advocacy work. You will also support fundraising for grants and projects, responding to tenders and writing proposals and building relationships with our funders, collaborators and clients. 

We are looking for an excellent project manager, able to manage fairly large projects and task manage others at all levels to ensure smooth delivery. You will be great at managing relationships at all levels and working with others to get things done. Given the nature of our work we are also looking for public participation skills, or relevant or transferable expertise and an understanding of deliberative practice. That will enable you to design and deliver project management, and support facilitation that fits our work and enables you to contribute to advising our clients on designing and delivering effective engagement. It is critical that you are open to new ideas, a good team player, committed to shifting power and addressing inequities in our society and that you are passionate about furthering our vision. Experience of building project management capacity, fundraising and staff management is desirable. 

Salary band: £38,975 - £43,584

Location: Flexible. Must be comfortable with committing to regular travel both for project work and Involve team activities. Must be able to travel across the UK.

Hours: Full time preferred, 35 hours per week, with flexible or part time considered.
