Bexley Food Alliance Project Coordinator

The Bexley Food Alliance is a new network which was funded by the GLA to work towards taking pressure off the emergency food aid services and providing increased financial support to Bexley residents. This network has now expanded and aims to build a collaborative network of agencies that can increase fairer access to healthy, nutritious and culturally appropriate food, as well as any additional support residents might need. We are looking for a Project Coordinator to take over the day-to-day running of this network (see below for a brief description). This is a good opportunity for anyone who wants to take on a part-time, one-year project, perhaps as a stepping stone into something more significant, or perhaps you’re returning to work or changing careers. This is an opportunity to be at the start of an exciting, innovative partnership project, shaping a network and forming strong alliances with various agencies. 

You will work closely with the VCS within Bexley to build the capacity and capabilities of local groups, provide partnership/networking opportunities that enable them to carry out their own objectives effectively and offer high quality services.

You will work flexibly, applying initiative to provide consistent and seamless support to organisations.  You will support across a variety of charity development but focus on food partnerships and wraparound support to provide more holistic support.

Key Duties:

• Build and promote positive working relationships between VCS groups and organisations, statutory partners, commissioners and funders.
• Work with a wide range of delivery partners and other key stakeholders to maximise the use of community resources and ensure opportunities are maximised.
• Undertake community and outreach work – particularly to parts of the borough where the VCS voice is less heard.
• Encourage and support groups to seek funding from a range of sources including contracts and grants and provide the necessary support.
• Use our database to keep well maintained records of support given, funding achieved as a result of our support, case studies and outcomes, brief summary reports for monitoring and development purposes.
• To continuously engage in a mapping process, highlighting existing providers and supporting the start-up of new services.
• To organise and facilitate network meetings bringing organisations together to tackle food poverty and offer increased support with additional needs such as financial, physical and mental health wellbeing.
• To build relationships with various organisations, offering diverse support to increase collaboration, new offers and increased support.
• To work closely with the Local Authority to support policy change.
• To build relationships and network outside of the borough to bring in good practice and successful initiatives.
• To attend any relevant training and/or workshops that support the development of the network.
• To increase knowledge and understanding of food poverty and the cost-of-living crisis in general as well as grants and funding opportunities.
• Attend staff meetings, and training as required.
• Identify, report, and monitor any safeguarding concerns in accordance with the latest local procedures relating to the appropriate service.
• To support and work closely with all the teams within BVSC.
•  To comply with, and share responsibility for ensuring the implementation of, BVSC policies and procedures and key legislation such as GDPR and Safeguarding.
• Undertake any other duties that may reasonably be assigned from time to time including travel throughout the borough to attend events, occasionally on evenings/weekends, meet with volunteers and organisations.

These are the normal duties which are required of the position; however, we do require that all staff be flexible and may be required to perform other duties to ensure the efficient running of services. 

Please note that the base for this role is split between the Engine House, Bexley, and Bexley Civic Offices. In addition, the post will involve occasional working from various venues across the borough.

• Continue to develop relationships with the voluntary sector and local organisations to find out more about what services they currently offer, if they have scope/capacity to expand their offer and what support they might need.
• Encourage and support collaborative projects between organisations within Bexley.
• Research and keep up to date with current developments, grants and opportunities for voluntary organisations and charities relevant to Bexley.
•  Network with various organisations offering support, learning opportunities and guidance in running the network.
• Continue to work on an agenda for regular, local networking sessions which you would facilitate (with support if needed).
•  Engage with and attend all relevant training offered by GLA as part of the Food Roots 2 Programme as well as any other relevant training.
• Familiarise yourself with services in Bexley and the current needs of local residents and the voluntary sector.

We are now recruiting for a new role in the Resources Team within the Crisis at Christmas Team to support with coordinating the material donations needed to set up and run Crisis at Christmas centres and services. As a Project Coordinator – Resources your role will involve building relationships with current and new corporate donors to ensure we can resource all the required material donations we need to run the Crisis at Christmas centres in London.  Gift in kind donations we require range from food and beverages to clothing, hairdressing equipment and minibuses. This is a varied role that involves researching donors, communicating with large corporate companies, managing volunteers, and running community donations.

NHS England recently announced a new transformation fund to be allocated to pilot sites within 12 Sustainability and Transformation Partnerships/Integrated Care Systems across the country to test new and integrated models of primary and community mental health care. The Surrey Heartlands Health and Care Partnership in Redhill is one of these successful pilot sites, and Richmond Fellowship are proud to be part of that partnership.

The role of Community Connector is fundamental to the developing of these innovative new teams and mental health services based within networks of GP Practices (Primary Care Networks). Indeed, whoever takes on this particular challenge will be instrumental in supporting the ongoing development and mobilisation of integrated primary care mental health services in the future. Along the way, you’ll work jointly with a Mental Health Practitioner to conduct assessments. We’ll also rely on you to help patients identify their socially determined needs and goals, provide self-management tools, and develop personal support plans. Delivering a range of motivational and structured psycho-social interventions, promoting independence through an enabling asset based approach and developing effective relationships with a range of agencies to facilitate a ‘joined up’ approach - these are just some aspects of this vital role.

As well as proven relevant experience, you’ll need an appropriate diploma or degree i.e., in counselling, psychology, social work, probation, mental health, Health and Social Care (level 3), NVQ’s level 3+ and/or community experience of drug, alcohol, mental health work. You’ll also need the ability to work co-operatively and flexible as part of a multidisciplinary team from a service hub in one of three locations and be willing to travel to and from a number of different locations on a daily basis. Comfortable working to the confidentiality, consent, information sharing and safeguarding policies of the integrated service, the ability to manage any challenging behaviour, anger and verbal aggression from patients is important too. And, it goes without saying that you have excellent communication skills and are proficient in the use of office IT.

The role

As Community Coordinator, your role will focus on the growth and sustainability of the FareShare Go programme, through maximising relationships and adding value to create the best experience for our charity community. The successful candidate will be an exceptional communicator, with an approachable nature who will play a vital role in developing and maintaining charity and retailer relationships, plus raising awareness of FareShare Go across your local area. 

Main areas of responsibility

• Charity account management: You will carry out virtual calls and in person visits with new and existing charities, and be responsible for ensuring that coverage KPIs are reached and maintained for both new and existing retailers. Using your analysis of charity needs, plus your knowledge of retailer and store profiles, you will use these visits to maximise the offer to charities, ensuring the service meets their requirements. 
• Community Capacity Building: As part of the Building of relationships with charities, you will seek opportunities to enable and empower charities to increase their capacity and ability to take more food, to ultimately increase the redistribution of surplus food to those in need. 
• Sustainability and Compliance: You will work with your Regional Manager and team to identify stores where re-engagement activities are needed to improve charity coverage and charity compliance. You will work to maximise the amount of food collected by charities with lower levels of compliance. You will also be responsible for undertaking food safety reviews with charities to ensure compliance. 
• Retailer Engagement: You will play a key role in maintaining strong retailer relationships across your region. You will take an active role in any meet and greets with retailers, where required. Plus, you will be responsible for maintaining regular contact with the relevant retail stakeholders in your region, sensitively dealing with any issues in a professional manner, as and when they arise.

As a Circles Coordinator you will make a real difference to preventing sexual abuse and sexual violence. This varied and rewarding role means working with people who have sexually harmed, a team of local volunteers and public protection colleagues. Join our dedicated regional team of 12 staff and 180 volunteers working towards the vision of ‘No More Victims’ of sexual abuse.

About Circles South West

We are an award winning independent charity providing services that prevent sexual re-offending by people who have sexually harmed, as well as support services for non-offending partners, family and friends impacted.  Our core service is Circles of Support and Accountability; a ‘Circle’ is a small group of local volunteers who assist the safe integration of an individual who has sexually harmed, meeting with them over a year or more. Working closely with responsible statutory agencies we provide a complementary risk management approach, making communities safer. Informed by our practice expertise, our training and consultancy for professionals is designed to enhance skills, knowledge and understanding in order that they can more effectively engage with people who sexually harm and contribute more widely to the prevention of sexual abuse.

About You

With experience of working with adults convicted of sexual offences, you understand how local communities can support risk management and be committed to the safe integration in the community of people who have sexually harmed. You will be skilled in the management and support of volunteers, the critical success factor for Circles. You will assess referrals, coordinate Circles, review progress and share relevant information with police and probation. 

Betknowmore UK is collaborating with partner organisations to work as part of a wider team, on the delivery of the Armed Forces Gambling Harms Support Network (AFGHSN). The work will include the provision of training and gambling awareness activities, helping to raise and address the subject of harmful gambling. Working and engaging with armed forces support and personnel services, individuals harmed by gambling, their wider network, stakeholders, and other relevant groups within the veteran and active armed forces communities, the aim is to create trained personnel able to support the work of the AFGHSN.​

A key aspect of the role will be working with individuals experiencing gambling harms, requiring an empathetic and compassionate approach and awareness of the complex issues being addressed. A robust management of safeguarding and safe working practices is essential.​

It is essential that you are based within one hour travelling time of London, as extensive travel to London and the UK is expected.

Role Purpose

An armed forces veteran or someone closely involved with the armed forces (a family member for example), the post holder will also have a unique insight on gambling harms, and their impact on health and wellbeing specifically within the military.

The Armed Forces Peer Aid Coordinator will initially prioritise engaging with veterans and military organisations to deliver the AFGHSN training programme, along with gambling awareness activities. The purpose is to upskill key armed forces personnel and those in connected communities, enabling and enhancing their knowledge, skills and confidence to address gambling harms. ​

The second key responsibility is to recruit, train and support Peer Supporters to deliver safe, effective support for individuals and their networks that have been harmed by gambling. It is expected that Peer Supporters will be individuals with ‘lived experience’ of gambling harm themselves or as an ‘affected other’.​

The post holder will work with the Head of Peer Support Services to support the development and maintenance of the systems and structure of the service, ensuring that governance and polices are implemented, safeguarding and safe working practices are strictly adhered to, and a clear understanding established of how the service integrates with other support and treatment networks.​

The AFGHSN Peer Aid team will ensure that the support and working relationships are safe and secure, and the health and wellbeing of all participants is intact. Peer Support will be in a befriending capacity and should be provided with a considered and transparent approach. Other support activities will be developed, such as group support and weekly meet ups.​

Stakeholder management is essential to the role, as is establishing and maintaining relationships within the AFGHSN, alongside confident communication skills to deliver presentations and other promotions within armed forces community, education and health centres to help grow and evolve the service.

We are seeking a Fundraising Coordinator (Individual Giving) to join our small but dynamic Fundraising team.

The role requires excellent donor care and stewardship skills. All forms of communication will be required including the proactive use of digital channels such as the website and social media platforms.

The Individual Giving Fundraiser will play a vital role in increasing income from our existing supporters. You will support donor acquisition as well as taking the lead on retention of our supporters across multiple channels including cash appeals, regular giving, lottery and in celebration giving. The role will also support the Head of Income in the delivery of a legacy and major donor program.

You will develop and deliver excellent stewardship programmes that drive retention by deepening audience understanding of the challenges that people affected by cleft face and the impact that their donations make. Using data and insight, you’ll deliver compelling campaigns, with people affected by cleft right at the centre. You’ll use creative tools and techniques to demonstrate impact and inspire future action.

Audit Project Coordinator

The National Neonatal Audit Programme (NNAP) Project Coordinator is an instrumental role for the College in which you will support the delivery of a high-quality national clinical audit along with supporting improvements in neonatal care for babies and their families.

As Audit Project Coordinator, you will coordinate the collection of high-quality audit data, and be responsible for coordinating sub-projects and spotlight audits.

Acting as the first point of contact for audit process and data enquiries received from hospital units, regional network leads and other stakeholder organisations, you will take responsibility for responding to each enquiry using your detailed knowledge of the audit methodology.

You will also respond to queries relating to the NNAP methodology and support paediatric services within NHS Health Boards, Trusts and Networks to understand and use NNAP results to inform quality improvement activities, as well as monitoring NNAP participation rates to define, execute and promote improvements to data submission processes.

Reporting to the NNAP Project Manager, you will conduct testing and quality assurance of audit software systems, liaising with software developers to evaluate, improve and update online data submission and reporting processes, whilst preparing updates to project webpages, user guidance and promotional materials for audit submission and participation. In addition, you will coordinate project webinars, workshops and national events for the NNAP and represent the NNAP at conferences to help promote NNAP activities.

You will also prepare and disseminate audit outputs and publications for different audiences, including audit commissioners and funders, children, young people and families, and NHS services participating in the audit.

Degree qualified or with equivalent experience in a mathematical or numerate discipline, you should have proven experience of producing high-quality written reports and promotional information, suitable for a range of audiences.

With strong critical thinking and problem-solving skills, a high level of numeracy and the ability to interrogate large, complex datasets in Excel or statistical packages, you should have a background of working in a health-related or research setting.

Your project management experience along with your proven organisational skills and your ability to adopt an orderly and precise approach to work should ensure you are able to take personal responsibility for your own projects.

Demonstrable experience of engaging and communicating with stakeholders effectively, along with a proven understanding of information governance, data protection and confidentiality processes are essential.

A project management certification/qualification, knowledge and experience of the use of statistical packages, and a general understanding of a clinical audit and the reasons why clinical conditions are audited locally and nationally, would be desirable.

Are you passionate about supporting older people to have better access to online services? Do you have the skills to inform and coach older people to learn and improve their digital skills and knowledge? 

Age UK Sutton is looking for someone to join the Let’s Connect programme team as a Digital Inclusion Project Coordinator supporting older people to develop digital skills and improve their access to digital services.

You will champion the service and be responsible for working with people from initial referral completing assessments to understand a person’s situation, creating a goals-based plan to support clients to access digital skills training through group and 121 offers. You will work with older people to enable them to become more confident in using digital equipment such as tablets and smartphones through arranging and delivering digital skills training sessions in both group and 121 settings.

This will be a fantastic opportunity to develop your skills, no two days will be the same and you will be making a valuable difference to older people living in Sutton.

Home-Start Lambeth offers a unique service, recruiting, training, and supervising volunteers to support families with pre-school children on a regular basis. Our staff and volunteers provide friendship and practical help to families experiencing stress or difficulties, including poverty, post-natal depression, domestic abuse, mental ill-health, isolation, and other challenges leading to crisis.

We are advertising for a Family Coordinator to join our small, amazing charity. Working alongside our team of Family Coordinators, you will oversee the work of our home-visiting volunteers, ensuring that the support they provide to families is targeted, high quality and empowers them to reach their goals.

You will also lead the delivery of our domestic abuse work. This includes the development and delivery of the Freedom Programme; a 7-week course to help survivors of domestic abuse understand and recover from their experiences. 

We are looking for a well-organised person, familiar with office systems, who can demonstrate empathy and good communication and interpersonal skills. Parenting experience, experience of working with disadvantaged families and survivors of domestic abuse would be advantageous.

This role involves significant amounts of travel around Lambeth visiting families and attending meetings. Reasonable travel expenses, other than from home to base, will be reimbursed. Please note that currently the Freedom Programme is delivered remotely via Zoom on Tuesday evenings from 7-9pm via Zoom.
