Our dynamic programme and grants team at Youth Futures is looking for a capable, proactive person to provide administrative support to ensure the smooth running of our grant-making lifecycle.
The key purpose of the role is to help the team embed and further enhance our grant management processes. This will include administering our grant database, checking payments, dealing with enquiries and overall record keeping. You will support the coordination of grant making processes from end-to-end, facilitating clear communication and effective collaboration across internal colleagues and our grant administration partner.
You will bring a proactive, hands-on approach, supporting multiple internal customers and strands of activity while working to tight deadlines. The role would be a great opportunity for someone interested in youth employment or grantmaking to gain relevant experience and exposure to our work. We are looking for a capable, proactive person to support the programme from initial mobilisation through to an eventual large-scale trial. The Senior Programme Support Officer will support the Head of Programmes to develop, mobilise and deliver Building Futures. The postholder will take the lead on specific tasks, and coordinate the work of the wider cross-organisational Building Futures team.
You will liaise with external partners and stakeholders, as well as supporting multiple internal customers and workstreams, often to tight deadlines. You will support key external engagement processes, in particular our programme Steering Group and Youth Advisory Group, working with colleagues to ensure the smooth running of these meetings and capture key decisions and inputs to feed back into programme delivery.
This is primarily a project management role, enabling a new cross-functional team to work effectively and efficiently together on a complex, fast-moving and high profile programme. As well as dealing with tasks as they emerge, you will work across the team to keep track of progress, identifying any issues and risks, and enabling the Head of Programmes and other internal stakeholders to gain an overview of the programme as a whole.

As we move into large-scale programme delivery and evaluation, we are expanding the Programmes and Grant Directorate with two new Heads of Programmes roles. Each postholder will lead the development and implementation of a major area of programming, overseeing high quality delivery and ensuring that the work we fund generates robust evidence and insight.
As Head of Programmes, you will manage the work of a cross-functional team delivering a programme of grants, research, evaluation, communications, youth involvement and associated activity. You will provide programme leadership, ensuring that this range of activity is aligned to programme objectives and Youth Futures’ overall strategic aims. You will coordinate programme-related work across the organisation, fostering collaboration in pursuit of a shared purpose.
You will make connections to relevant stakeholders and wider debates, positioning Youth Futures as an organisation at the forefront of thinking and practice in your programme area(s). You will work closely with externally-facing colleagues to feed learning and insight from funded programmes into our policy work, employer engagement and public communications. We are seeking a dynamic and proactive individual to join our Digital & QA team as a Digital Project Manager. This role will primarily be responsible for project managing the development of Ygam’s new website from concept to handover in addition to some of Ygam’s other planned digital projects.
The ideal candidate will have a demonstrated track record of successfully managing digital projects, from initial briefing to final implementation and review, with a thorough understanding of agile methodologies, values and procedures. - Lead the process to procure external developers for the online portal and manage the relationship with the appointed developer.
- Maintain the project plan, monitoring progress and ensuring milestones are met.
- Manage relationship with appointed developer.
- Engage and consult with internal and external stakeholders, enabling scoping exercises to capture all required functionality and specifications, and developing risk logs, to ensure the website meets user requirements.
- Anticipate potential issues and dependencies, highlight project risks and develop proactive mitigation plans.
- Manage web development budget.
- Operate within agreed timescales.
- Be collaborative, efficient, analytical with great diligence, ensuring consistent improvement in the quality of our outputs.

Job Purpose
Our Bright Futures programme provides mentoring, employability, and wellbeing support for Gypsy, Roma and Traveller young people aged 14 – 25 years. We believe that increasing opportunities for young people is crucial for the future of their communities. We work directly with them through tailored mentoring and consistent support to build motivation, confidence, and resilience. The aim is to enable the next generation to overcome socio-economic barriers, engage in wider society, and be active changemakers for their community.
We are in an exciting growth phase and are looking for 2 Project Workers for the team to rapidly extend programme reach and impact. As part of the team, the Project Workers will together be involved in overall programme planning, delivery, and community outreach with a focus on skills development and employment prospects. In coordination with the Project Lead, you will develop collaborations with employers and training providers, and Gypsy, Roma, and Traveller community members to identify relevant training, learning and work placements for young people. You will work directly with young people and their families through community outreach initiatives to raise awareness as well as deliver individual and group sessions on a variety of themes and issues.
Role and responsibilities

Collaborate with Project Lead to develop skills, training and employment opportunities for young people.

Foster effective working relationships with employers, training providers, and community members to secure training and work placements.

Undertake engagement and outreach initiatives for young people and their families to generate interest and encourage enrolment.

Coordinate with mentors to provide practical employability support for young people through skills assessments, personal development plans, training/job search and signposting, etc.

Organise and deliver individual and small group sessions as well as thematic events such as industry awareness talks, campus visits, interview skills workshops, or exploring self-employment.

Maintain project administration including online database system, stakeholders and referrals network directory, and session reports.

Capture feedback and input into the monitoring and evaluation of the programme including funder reports and applications.
