Role Summary
This role, based in Scotland (working remotely) , is crucial in driving forward support for, engagement with, and coordination of high-quality and high-impact multi-day work experiences for high-need young people across the UK. Experts in the coordination and delivery of multi-day work experiences, working closely with UK-wide employers and education establishments in Scotland.
The starting salary for this role is £30216, rising to £32706 after a suucessful year in role.
Key Duties / Responsibilities
Strategic purpose:
- Responsible for the end-to-end delivery of Experience opportunities from initial programme scoping with non-income generating employers to securing commitments, monitoring young person applications, programme design and implementation, and employer follow up.
- Nurturing relationships with existing schools and colleges in Scotland and onboarding new establishments
Employer Engagement:
- Responsible for account management of corporate partnerships as agreed by the development team
- Securing commitment from employers to deliver multi-day work experience opportunities.
- Account management for employers throughout their work experience journey.
- Supporting the account management of corporate partners by delivering on their work experience programmes as agreed by the business development team and coordinating with other programme teams to ensure committed delivery takes place.
- Training employers to use SfS products in the coordination and delivery of their placements, including but not limited to Portal and Google Classroom.
- Working closely with Delivery Partners to ensure seamless delivery of work experience opportunities.
- Leading on all employer engagement and meetings with your dedicated accounts.
- Developing and disseminating impact reports to employers at the end of their contract and in line with impact and evaluation framework.
- Working closely with Education team to ensure school engagement in areas of work experience activity and in line with charity’s target areas.
School Engagement:
- Training and supporting users to maximise the opportunity to their students accessing our programmes through our platform
- Delivering training sessions to schools and colleges on our programmes and building on engagement in Scotland.
- Building partnerships as determined by national education strategy to maximise our impact.
- Developing long-standing relationships with school and college contacts to enable engagement in and implementation of our product offer.
- Build a network of educational contacts, ensuring elevated level of customer service and reporting opportunities and feedback to National Education Manager (North)
Delivery:
- Providing best practice guidance and advice on work experience programme set up and content.
- Responsible for delivery and completion of own work experience placements and the operational and administrative activity required.
- Providing cover and support for other Work Experience Managers as required.
- Taking ownership of own capacity management using capacity management frameworks to help inform future workload planning.
- Adherence to data compliance, standards, guidelines and best practices to ensure our data integrity and consistency.
- Retain our registered schools and colleges in our network and increase engagement levels in all programmes.
- Ensuring all data relating to school and college engagement is accurate, recorded and presented in reports when required.
- Networking to collaboratively build brand awareness of Speakers for Schools across all partners and organisations working in the Education landscape.
- Supporting the wider UK Education Strategy for Speakers for Schools
- Represent and work to our values as, fostering a culture of positivity, support, respect, and inclusivity, while taking personal responsibility for their attitude, performance, and development.

Experience / Knowledge / Skills
Essential
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to build and maintain relationships with stakeholders from all levels

Your purpose
This year Voice 21 are recruiting to a newly formed Communications, Campaigns and Public Affairs department to help address these challenges. As Campaigns Manager, you will support the Head of Communications, Campaigns and Public Affairs to make oracy education ordinary, co-ordinating and project managing communications campaigns as well as leading content delivery. In doing so, you will play an integral role in ensuring all children, regardless of their background, find their voice for success in school and in life.
Your responsibilities
● Play a senior role in the Communications, Campaigns and Public Affairs team, as part of the wider Learning, Impact and Influence directorate
Campaigns (70%)
● Responsible for developing and delivering integrated campaigns working closely with Fundraising, Marketing, Customer Service and Service Delivery teams.
● This will include, but is not limited to: growing charity awareness, recruitment and retention, growing our advocacy base and policy change campaigns
● Taking a lead role in development and project management, you will deliver our national campaigns and business as usual communications projects
● Utilising matrix management, you'll bring internal and external teams and freelancers together to oversee all aspects of our campaigns.
● Engaging the entire marketing mix, you'll develop, implement, integrate, and evaluate campaigns across various channels, including PR, digital, advertising, and influencer amplification

Job purpose
The Science Manager – Super Pollutants will manage technical elements of multi-lateral partnerships and coalitions, oversee a portfolio of research grants and projects, and strategically generate and communicate data and evidence to drive funders, governments and non-profits to work effectively towards reducing black carbon emissions globally.
Scope of role
The post holder will oversee work to reduce scientific uncertainties and bottlenecks around black carbon and other super pollutants to support policy goals and ultimately accelerate emissions reductions.
This position will
Develop a strategy and manage the implementations for research projects;
Bring together the science community and generate shared goals;
Lead on technical elements of the organisation’s work with intergovernmental organisations, governments and non-profits.
Be responsible for outreach and engagement with academic institutions, multilateral agencies, and other stakeholders.
It’s a hugely influential role and will span climate change, air pollution and public health fields.
As you would expect it will require a deep understanding of the latest science and a strategic approach to how science can advance international policy matters on black carbon and other super pollutants.
Tasks will include engaging directly with global experts, developing a science strategy, managing a portfolio of grants, inputting into science communications efforts, and working closely with policy and advocacy activities. Key stakeholders will include:
- Global leaders on climate and SLCPs,
- Academic institutions and think tanks,
- Grantees and suppliers for grant and project development and management.

The ideal person:
First and foremost, you’ll be great at building trusted collaborative relationships – at all levels. After all you’ll be mixing with major governments, agencies NGOs, donors and partners across the globe.
You’ll be confident negotiating and influencing across all stakeholder communities from academics to senior international decision-makers and be comfortable juggling multiple tasks with tight deadlines.
As you’d expect, you’ll be a natural at thinking and acting strategically and will have a knack for explaining and discussing complex topics in layman’s terms. Not everyone gets the science behind what we do.

The Technical requirements:
You’ll bring that deep expertise on the science of air pollution, super pollutants, climate change and their interlinkages and will have led and implemented projects including climate modelling, health impact analyses and action research.
You’ll have managed policy-relevant research and science projects on air pollution, climate change or related fields at an international level, designing and delivering research strategies that inform evidence-informed policy recommendations.
And you will have amassed contacts within relevant global institutions, such as academic institutions, UN agencies, international financial institutions, etc.

Public Voice is a partner in the Haringey Advice Partnership (HAP) which is delivering the Information, Advice and Guidance (IAG) service in Haringey from April 2022 to March 2025 with an option to extend for a further four years. Our role is to provide information and signposting for health and social care enquiries and develop the outreach and engagement activity to identify needs in the community and target specific community groups who are less familiar with IAG services.
The HAP Project Manager is responsible for managing Public Voice’s overall contribution to the Haringey Advice Partnership and project, ensuring Public Voice meets and reports on its targets and outcomes. Health Care With Out Harm charity is dedicated to transforming healthcare to reduce its environmental impact and promote sustainability and environmental health. They are looking for a Campaign Manager who will work on a large project aimed at creating safer and more sustainable pre and post-natal care, with a focus on reducing plastic pollution and toxic chemical exposure. They are a leading international NGO at the forefront of the movement for sustainable healthcare in Europe and beyond. As the Campaign Manager, you will play a pivotal role in developing their Born Green Generation campaign.
This is a full-time position operating on a four-day week (8 hours/day) to support work-life balance. Their head office is based in Brussels and ideally the Campaign Manager would commute to that office but they will consider remote applications. Salary for this role is up to €3,570 gross per month, dependent on qualifications and experience, which is roughly £45,000 GBP.

The Campaign Manager will be responsible for:
- Campaign Strategy Development and Implementation: Developing and leading the implementation of effective campaigning strategies for a new initiative, aimed at engaging various audiences and maximising impact over the next three years.
- EU-wide Campaign Scale-up: Leading the scale-up of an EU-wide campaign, developing an awareness-raising campaign promoting the pledge and encouraging healthcare providers to take action, while monitoring and reporting on its success.
- Political Engagement and Advocacy: Supporting the Plastics and Chemical Policy Coordinator's activities to drive political engagement and advocacy for a project, including the development of effective messaging and materials.
- Stakeholder Relationship Building: Proactively building and developing relationships with project stakeholders, partners, funders, and policymakers, aiming to build a coalition of motivated advocates across Europe.
- Team Collaboration and Support: Providing guidance and support to team members working on other projects and programs as needed, and acting as a mentor and coach to team members, fostering a culture of excellence and teamwork.
To be appointed you will have:
- Solid of experience in advocacy campaign management within an EU setting – this will include behavioural change and people engagement
- Experience in a relevant field such as communications, international relations, political science or public policy
- Strong understanding of policy issues and the political landscape in Europe
- Experience or interest in health/environmental issues

About the role
Sense has a fantastic opportunity for someone to join our Engagement team as our Database Manager. This is a full-time position working 37.5 hours per week and will be working flexibly between home and our office in King's Cross, London.
It is an exciting time to join Sense as we are at the early stages of a project to replace our core database, Raisers’ Edge. The successful candidate will be critical to the successful delivery of this project by preparing our existing environment and culture for the change. As part of the role, you will drive the effective use of data, and the database, by the Fundraising and wider Engagement teams, to support the delivery of organisational-wide strategic goals. Leading and supporting the Data team to plan, coordinate the delivery of imports, selections and extracts of data for all activities.
Objectives of this role include:
- Clearly understand Sense’s strategic objectives and individual team business plans, ensuring that data in the Engagement Directorate is used consistently to support these goals
- Develop and maintain a streamlined, consistent data architecture across our data estate
- Ensure that colleagues in the Engagement directorate are fully empowered to capitalise on the opportunities provided by data
- Use data architecture and user empowerment to prepare for our new CRM system
Key skills and experience
- Experience of team management and leadership
- Extensive experience in managing a relationship database, preferably Raiser’s Edge, within a fast-paced fundraising/ sales/customer-facing environment.
- Demonstrable ability to determine and manage system and development priorities weighing operational needs against strategic delivery
- An understanding of how clear and consistent data use drives insight, which in turn drives improved engagement with the public
