Job description

Working as part of a busy Events team, you’ll take on a varied and interesting role. Day to day, you’ll build valuable experience as you plan and deliver our diverse events programme. It includes in person and virtual conferences, online webinars, roundtables, workshops, receptions and dinners. You’ll act as project manager for a number of these events, tackling all aspects of production, logistics and operations.

Creating high quality events takes teamwork, and you’ll need to support your colleagues. You’ll also need to be flexible, diligent and comfortable being the main point of contact for everyone from sponsors to speakers. Clear communication is key, along with good organisation. Professional and efficient, you’ll thrive on ever-changing challenges.

To join us, you’ll need a degree (or equivalent) and some experience of event management. You should have run both virtual and in-person events before. With this background, you’ll know how to manage administration, budgets and all kinds of people. Calm, collaborative and a natural planner, you’ll support the Fund’s work and be motivated by our values.

Here at the Fund, we actively encourage applicants from underrepresented backgrounds, people from Black and ethnic minority backgrounds, those with disabilities and from the LGBT+ community. We want people to bring their unique blend of experiences, backgrounds, perspectives and knowledge as we recognise that diversity makes us stronger.

Our premises in London are open and for the rest of the year our staff are working in the office at least one day per week. We are in the process of developing our working patterns in the longer term (from 2022) which we expect to include some time working from the office each week to better deliver our work and support our colleagues and clients.

Closing date for receipt of completed applications is Wednesday 3 November at 9am.

Please note that in order to apply, you must have documented proof of your right to live and work in the UK. Please do not send CVs. Applications must be submitted using The King’s Fund application form. No agencies please.
