About the role
As our Senior Finance & Operations Officer, you will be at the heart of our organisation’s success. Working closely with the Director, Finance and Operations, you will help to manage financial processes, streamline operations, and ensure both our UK and EU teams are properly resourced to drive our mission forward. You will interact daily with a broad range of stakeholders in the UK and the EU including senior level staff, external consultants and suppliers in the while also working closely with Finance, HR & IT colleagues in the US.
Key responsibilities
Financial Management (30%)
- Support on day-to-day financial activities including financial reporting, accounts payable and accounts receivable.
- Develop and implement best practices to optimise operational efficiency and effectiveness.
- Collaborate with the team to develop and monitor project budgets.
- Support decision-making through insightful financial analysis.
Operational Support (40%)
- Be the first point of contact for all enquiries from the campaigns and fundraising teams in the UK and EU.
Contracts Lifecycle Management (30%)
- Oversee the lifecycle of all supplier contracts: creation, submission and signing. (Legal contract knowledge is not required.)

The role is varied and has a significant financial element so strong numeracy skills, a solid knowledge of financial management principles paired with good communications skills are important. Role Context
ALIMA UK is in its start-up phase and is made up of a small team. This period is exciting at times unpredictable. About the Role:
This role is home-based with regular travel throughout the region. The Thames Valley Adult Victims Service will provide emotional and practical support to adult victims of any crime. Support will be delivered in an innovative manner primarily through specialist group work provision - alongside online and telephone caseworker support.
As the Operations Manager for the new Thames Valley Adults Victim Service you will be responsible for the implementation, development and the ongoing delivery of a high performing service through excellent operational management and supervision of people and resources.
You will ensure the team delivers individual, tailored support for adult victims of any crime primarily through group and peer support with the option of individual casework support where this is appropriate for the victim.
You will work closely and collaboratively with a range of stakeholders including the Office of the Police and Crime Commissioner for Thames Valley, Thames Valley Police, criminal justice agencies as well as other statutory agencies and third sector organisations across the Thames Valley.
You will be the nominated deputy for the Area Manager covering Thames Valley and this will include assisting the Area Manager in monthly/quarterly reporting and attending monitoring meetings with the PCC office.
Your will provide direct line management to the Victim Awareness Officer who will play a key role in planning & delivering training and raising awareness of activities. You will support them in the recruitment & development of an active cohort of volunteers performing the roles of Criminal Justice and Engagement Champions.

About EFA
English for Action provides free, participatory, and empowering English language classes (ESOL) for migrants in London. Our classes are spaces to build community and support students to organise collectively around issues like employment and housing rights. Our work currently supports around 500 adult migrants across London. We are looking for a freelance Finance & Operations Officer - ideally with charity experience and familiar with Xero - who can support our core team of four as it takes the charity to the next level. Preferably able to work flexibly, the average time required is estimated at one day per week. This may mean dealing with an email or phone call in an ad hoc way from time to time.
Using a network of music industry professionals and youth workers, Grounded Sounds offer engaging, top quality programmes in a highly welcoming and supportive environment. Responsibilities:
Finance
- Act as first point of contact for Finance enquiries, both internally and externally
- Manage the Finance mailbox, ensuring queries are dealt with efficiently
- Co-ordinate day-to-day financial operations, including processing of invoices, purchase orders, expense claims, reconciliations, etc.
- Overseeing virtual card system (Soldo) for NASP employees
