About us
Who we are
Active Lincolnshire are champions for the positive power of sport and physical activity for everyone in Lincolnshire. Encouraging them to be more active, more often.
As a registered charity, predominantly funded by Sport England, Active Lincolnshire is helping to deliver the strategy ‘Uniting the Movement’. The National strategy focuses on groups that are likely to be inactive, such as women and girls, people living with a disability or health condition, and those with less affluent backgrounds. The vision is of a nation of more equal, inclusive and connected communities, where people live happier, healthier and more fulfilled lives, maximizing the role of movement, sport and physical activity in achieving that.
We lead, connect, and enable organisations to reduce inactivity and influence the collective goals set out in the Let’s Move Lincolnshire strategy. By building a shared understanding of inactivity, championing equality and inclusion, sustainability, and welfare and integrating physical activity into all sectors, policies, strategies, and education - we improve lives through the positive power of movement.

Equality, diversity and inclusion policy
Active Lincolnshire is fully committed to embedding equality, diversity and inclusion across our organisation. In our working practices, policies and behaviours, inclusion is at the centre of all that we do and we take a zero-tolerance approach to any form of discrimination.
Our commitment to equality is that everybody has an equal opportunity and is not treated differently or discriminated against because of their characteristics. We will ensure everybody has an equal chance to take up and make use of opportunities to fulfil their potential.
Our commitment to diversity is that we take account of the differences between groups of people and we place a positive value on those differences.
We are an inclusive employer and operate an inclusive, equitable and transparent recruitment and assessment process, underpinned by an organisational commitment to equality and diversity. We actively encourage applications from candidates from diverse backgrounds who can bring an array of skills and experience to our organisation. We encourage applications from people with disabilities, and guarantee interviews for applicants with disabilities that meet the requirement of the role as part of our commitment to the Disability Confident Scheme.
