About us
Who we are
The Adaptive Boxing International Federation (ABIF) is the global governing body for adaptive boxing, dedicated to building a fully inclusive and recognised para sport. We provide the structure, standards and international leadership needed to ensure that people with disabilities can safely and fairly take part in the sport of boxing at every level.
Our work includes developing classification systems, competition rules, safeguarding policies, coaching education and medical frameworks. We support National Governing Bodies, clubs, coaches and athletes around the world through guidance, training, advocacy and events.
ABIF promotes access, empowerment and excellence through sport. We are proud to champion disability inclusion, resilience and sporting opportunity on a global scale.
Our culture and values
At the Adaptive Boxing International Federation (ABIF), our culture is built on respect, resilience and radical inclusion. We believe that sport is a human right and that everyone, regardless of ability, deserves the opportunity to participate, compete and belong.
Our core values include:
Integrity
We uphold transparency, fairness and accountability in all we do.
Inclusion
We centre disabled voices and ensure accessibility is non negotiable.

We work globally and locally to build a unified, diverse sport community.
We value adaptive thinking, lived experience and purpose driven action. Our working practices are inclusive, flexible and collaborative, encouraging open communication and shared responsibility across our international team.
Equality, diversity and inclusion policy
At the Adaptive Boxing International Federation (ABIF), we are fully committed to equality, diversity, and inclusion across all aspects of our organisation. We actively promote a working culture that values fairness, dignity, and respect for all individuals, regardless of disability, race, gender, age, religion, sexual orientation, or background.
We oppose all forms of discrimination and take proactive steps to ensure that our recruitment, development, governance, and leadership practices reflect our core values of accessibility, equity, and representation. As a para sport federation, lived experience and inclusive insight are central to our mission. We aim to build a workforce that is as diverse as the communities we serve, and to create safe, inclusive spaces where every voice is heard and every individual has the opportunity to thrive.
We continuously review our policies and practices to ensure alignment with best practice and legal standards, and we provide training, support, and open channels for dialogue to embed inclusion into the heart of everything we do.
