Who we are
Beyond Sport uses sport’s unique power to address the most critical social issues of our time. We know sport can create positive change, inspire and heal in ways that transcend social and cultural barriers. So, we leverage it to build opportunity, equity and community.
At its best, sport can help bridge the gaps that divide us and create stronger and more resilient communities. When used with intention, it promotes inclusion, boosts mental health and advances gender and race equity. It can build confidence and teach crucial life skills while showing us how working as a team can resolve conflict.
Since 2008, our global foundation has raised over $24 million to promote social equity through sport. We’ve funded 475 projects, granting more than $13.3 million to organizations across 79 countries in addition to capacity-building tools to create sustainable, long-term impact.
