Emmaus is a homelessness charity with a difference, providing more than just a bed for the night for people who have experienced homelessness and social exclusion. In the beautiful Norfolk countryside we are working to build a sustainable community to help people get back control of their lives. We have a fantastic building, a growing social enterprise recycling and selling vintage and second hand goods and all the potential we can handle. This is an opportunity to be part of a small, unique team at the start of the project, helping to shape our approach and be close enough to actually see the outcomes and results.
Our trustees and volunteers are a rich mixture of people of all ages and backgrounds, who have sympathy with the values and objectives of Emmaus Norwich and want to help the community. The sense of potential for the development of this site and this community is very exciting indeed.
When you spend time on site you’re likely to get to know the companions well. This is immensely positive and one of the main reasons why Emmaus communities work so well. Discover the feel-good benefits of friendship, sharing interests and skills as a valued member of our community.
