About us
Who we are
Oxfam is a global movement working for a kinder, fairer world where everyone can thrive. We fight the injustices and inequalities that drive poverty. Since opening our first UK charity shop in 1947, we’ve grown to 560 shops and two hubs nationwide, powered by 20,000 incredible volunteers. These shops raise vital funds to support our mission for an equal future without poverty. They also serve as vibrant community spaces that bring people together and promote sustainable shopping. Our hubs in Milton Keynes and Batley, West Yorkshire play a key role in supporting this work across the UK.
Our culture and values
We commit to living our values so that we can be known for our integrity. This means transforming our governance, management, and operational structures, and nurturing a culture of continuous learning and reflection.
We understand that how we work is as important as what we work on.
