Safer Waves

Who we are

Safer Waves works to support merchant seafarers who have experienced gender discrimination, sexual harassment or sexual assault while working at sea. We provide an anonymous email support service for seafarers as well as information and signposting via our website. We also deliver outreach presentations and training to raise awareness of this important issue.

Our culture and values

Compassion - We will listen to seafarers with empathy and without judgement, and will do what we can to relieve their suffering.

Equality - All our those who use our service shall be treated with the same level of care and respect, regardless of gender, nationality, religion, professional background or any other characteristic.
