Who we are

Our vision for St James is that it is a place full of life, laughter, diversity and harmony, where everyone is made welcome, supported and helped to move forward in their life.

1. We provide spaces for meetings, training and community events, we want the centre to be a real home from home for the community
2. We provide a seamless service for young disabled people from 3-60 and their families/carers, through our specialist clubs, holiday activities, day opportunities and 1 to 1 support. 
3. We provide an excellent, community friendly multi-lingual advice service which enhances quality of life.  We support the Roma Community to settle in Derby and contribute to the life of the City.

St James is based in a multi-cultural, inner city community.  We are so proud that more than 70% of our service users and 55% of our staff are from Black, Asian and Eastern European backgrounds, so as you can see we live, breathe and celebrate diversity!
