About us
Who we are
WRAP is a small charity based in Stratford-upon-Avon, covering South Warwickshire, established over 25 years ago to preserve and protect the health of those with cognitive brain disorders. It delivers a range of services to support people affected by dementia, including a weekly café, a memory box loan scheme, an education programme for carers and a music group.
Our culture and values
WRAP is a small local charity working to suppport people affected by dementia who believes that people with dementia and their carers should be given as much support as possible, by helping to provide services with a view to improving their conditions of life.
Equality, diversity and inclusion policy
WRAP acknowledges that there are many issues which affect opportunities for people in Warwickshire, especially in relation to age, being married or in a civil partnership, being pregnant or having a child, disability, race, religion/belief, sexual orientation, being or becoming a transsexual person and other discriminating factors. We also recognise the barriers that exist which prevent their participation in the services and opportunities we seek to provide. WRAP, as an employer and service provider, has a part to play in reducing the disadvantages which certain people and groups have experienced, both now and in the past. We also want our staff, volunteers and trustees to be truly representative of the community they serve.
We extend the same principle to everyone. We recognise that, while much can be achieved through developing policies and procedures to meet our legal and other obligations, real progress requires a programme of action that involves the participation of our staff, volunteers and trustees. Genuine equality, diversity and inclusion, in every workplace and every service, requires a commitment from everyone.
