Who we are

Yule Travel Group CIC is a radically disruptive social enterprise and the UK’s first purpose-driven Host Travel Agency. We were founded to solve a massive crisis: "economic leakage." Billions of pounds are spent by UK consumers on global holidays every year, but a tiny fraction of that wealth actually reaches the local communities in the developing destinations hosting them. We are here to shatter that status quo.

 

We operate a highly scalable, dual-revenue commercial model:

 

  1. The B2B Host Agency: We empower underrepresented UK travel entrepreneurs to build their own independent, profitable travel brands under our enterprise-grade legal umbrella.
     

  2. The B2C Retail Agency: Our in-house brand, "Yule Travel," curates and sells global holidays directly to consumers.

 

Crucially, 100% of our retained corporate profits from both channels are legally locked to fund global sustainable development. We sell real dreams to make a real difference, funding initiatives like our flagship "Made From The Mekong".

Our culture and values

We are disruptors, not traditional philanthropists. We believe that relying solely on charity can strip vulnerable communities of their agency, which is why we use mainstream travel as a powerful commercial engine for self-sustaining global good.

 

Our culture is fast-paced, tech-forward, and strictly jargon-free. We operate by three core values:

  • Radical Transparency (Anti-Greenwashing): We deal in facts, not guilt. We never use "charity-guilt" to sell holidays. Instead, we use our network of over 200 trade suppliers to ensure our impact is measurable, keeping funds in the pockets of local people rather than relying on empty eco-promises.
     
  • Enterprise-Grade Execution: We do not operate like a standard non-profit; we run with the sharpness of a corporate tech startup. By equipping our network with enterprise-level booking platforms and AI automation, we maximize our commercial efficiency so we can maximize our global impact.
     
  • People Over Margins: We believe our travel experts should be the best-paid in the industry. While our independent agents retain up to 90% of their commissions to build their own prosperous livelihoods, our overarching corporate entity operates purely to fund our "Four Pillars of Change". We measure our ultimate corporate success not by shareholder dividends, but by human impact.

At the Yule Travel Group CIC, our approach to equality, diversity, and inclusion is not just a written policy; it is the fundamental framework of our entire business model. We ensure fairness and actively oppose discrimination across our workforce through two distinct avenues:

 

1. Our UK Workforce: An Inclusive Business Incubator. Rather than utilizing a traditional, hierarchical employment model, our B2B host agency operates as an inclusive business incubator. We actively recruit our network of independent travel entrepreneurs from underrepresented and marginalized groups, including LGBTQ+ individuals, disabled entrepreneurs, and widows.

 

To oppose systemic wage discrimination and economic barriers, we empower these individuals as independent brand owners rather than standard employees. By equipping them with enterprise-grade technology, comprehensive legal frameworks, and a radically transparent commission structure that pays them up to 90% of their earnings, we guarantee they can achieve true financial independence and maintain direct control over their own creative voice and work.

 

Furthermore, by championing a diverse workforce with diverse lived experiences, we natively protect and serve vulnerable UK consumers, such as empowering disabled entrepreneurs to build "Accessible Travel" brands that actively break down barriers for disabled travellers.

 

2. Our Global Supply Chain: Inclusive Leadership. Our commitment to fairness extends far beyond our UK operations to the international workforce we interact with daily. One of our legally locked corporate mandates, our "Four Pillars of Change", is explicitly dedicated to Inclusive Leadership & Equality.

 

Through this pillar, we ensure that the corporate profits generated by our UK network are reinvested into developing destinations to actively promote equal pay and create structured leadership opportunities specifically for women and LGBTQ+ individuals within the global tourism sector. We also use our network to ensure we also partner with ethical Destination Management Companies (DMCs) that share these inclusive values.
