We provide confidential, personalised support to the whole of the fire services community, whether that’s at our centres, over the phone, online or out in communities.

The Role
Our Practitioner Led Assessment Service is the entry point for our beneficiaries seeking support from the Charity. Our Assessment Practitioners work in partnership with our beneficiaries to identify goals, individual needs and appropriate solutions.

The team provide advice, information and support and work collaboratively with the multi-professional team to ensure our beneficiaries are offered the right support at the right time.

Reporting into the Beneficiary Experience and Continuity Lead you will be responsible for day-to-day management of the practitioner led assessment service, holding a small case load and reviewing and resolving complex cases with the team. 

You will work collaboratively with key stakeholders across health improvement and rehabilitation services, to ensure services are integrated, person centred, outcome focused and based on an ethos of recovery.

About You
An excellent communicator, with a can-do-attitude, you will be a registered health or social care practitioner with a broad skill and knowledge base and will be experienced in managing a multi-professional team.

To be successful, you will:

• Be a registered health or social care practitioner, with membership of a relevant professional body
• Have experience of managing a multi-professional team within a health or social care setting
• Have experience of conducting telephone assessments (health and wellbeing), service user risk assessments and delivering advice and information to improve health and wellbeing
• Be able to communicate effectively with people at all levels, both verbally and in writing, together with sound judgment skills
• Have the ability to travel (within the UK) on occasion
• Have a suitable working area and space available that is free from distraction (if home working or hybrid).  You will be provided with a laptop computer and access to our telephone systems and digital tools such as MS Teams.

RESPONSIBILITIES

• You will develop and implement operational policies, procedures and systems to improve efficiency and effectiveness of the organisation.

• You will monitor and evaluate the operational performance of the organisation, identifying areas for improvement and implementing solutions.

• You will manage the operational activity of our Big Green Heart experience days, supporting the CEO in the delivery of them. 

• You will work closely with our partner organisations who are using the Big Green Heart model, ensuring that the high standards and values of our teaching are maintained.

• You will also work with the Big Green Heart team to onboard new partner organisations. You will work with them to understand their needs and secure buy-in. 

• You will collaborate with the trustees, who also contribute to tasks linked with Big Green Heart's development. 

• You will manage the budgeting and financial planning processes, working closely with the Treasurer.

• You will be trained as a Big Green Heart facilitator with an expectation that you may be needed to facilitate a workshop during your time at the organisation.

• You will participate in professional and networking events related to Big Green Heart’s field of intervention.

• You will support staff members, trustees and volunteers, providing guidance and training in the operations of the charity as needed.

NECESSARY REQUIREMENTS

• At least two years experience in operations management, preferably within the charity sector. 

• A self motivated individual, capable of independent working.

• Ability to translate vision into a working practice.

• Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities, with the capacity to work collaboratively with a diverse range of stakeholders.

• Familiarity with budgeting and financial management processes.

We are medical experts applying our skills and knowledge to make a difference in the world. We bring together the global community of medical imaging professionals to make the case for diagnostic imaging.

Since 2017, Worldwide Radiology has been steadily growing from a small group of founding UK radiologists with experience of working in limited resource settings to an international team of around 50 long-term volunteers from a range of different imaging and clinical backgrounds.

We support the development of appropriate, high quality imaging services in low and middle income countries; from central teaching hospitals to remote district clinics. Overview

The Programme Manager role will be crucial to the success and development of the charity. You will be responsible for the management and delivery of 3+ Worldwide Radiology projects, operating across Malawi, Ghana and The Gambia.

The Programme Manager will be responsible for quickly grasping the needs of three ongoing projects, steering them toward desired impact, ensuring compliance with donor requirements, and managing risks effectively to bring these projects into shape.

​

The successful candidate will be responsible for working with key stakeholders, including our volunteers, partners and donors to build and nurture strong working relationships. 

​

They will contribute to seeking out further grant opportunities within the sector, working closely with the rest of the programmes team and the fundraising team.

​

The key responsibilities of this post are as follows:

​

(a) oversee the smooth running of our projects; 

(b) provide strong, holistic solutions, focused on operational leadership; and 

(c) support the overall growth and development of the organisation.
 

Role-Specific Responsibilities

1. Provide overall day-to-day management for WWR projects and WWR volunteers, reporting directly to the WWR Director.

2. Oversee the development and operational execution of detailed work-plans and budgets for WWR programme

3. Track all milestones and reporting schedules, taking timely action to ensure they are met.

4. Develop and deliver project MEAL activities in collaboration with our external MEAL consultant.

5. Produce (gather, collate and edit)  high quality, timely project progress, annual and donor-specific reports.

6. Oversee the management of partnership agreements and contracts in accordance with the donor specific requirements.

7. Support the identification and securing of new grant opportunities in collaboration with the programmes and fundraising teams.

8. Communicate administrative and technical information to WWR project partners in a timely, sensitive and effective manner.

9. Assist team members, volunteers, partners and members of the public with queries, demonstrating tact and understanding when dealing with complex and serious issues, deliver a consistently high and appropriate level of service and support to individuals contacting WWR.

10. Assist with recruitment, onboarding, induction and management of both UK and international WWR volunteers.
     

Qualifications and Experience

Essential

• Educated to degree level or equivalent work experience.

• Experience in grant or contract management in a humanitarian or development environment.

• Demonstrable experience of adhering to principles, methods, techniques and tools for the effective management and administration of programmes and project lifecycles.

• Demonstrable experience of applying monitoring systems and managing budgets.

• Experience of communicating with a wide range of stakeholders.

Desirable

• Experience working in the nonprofit sector.

As Project Manager, the successful candidate will play an integral role in working across the organisation to ensure that sound project management principles are being used in all aspects of our work. • Full scale project management of key strategic projects across a project’s full life cycle, to deliver within scope, on time, on budget, and within quality commitments. • Assessing and recommending to the senior leadership team the viability and suitability of new proposed projects.

• Ability to work at pace and deliver to deadlines, prioritising work depending on organisational need.

• Ability to interpret top-line briefs and turn these into practical action.

Job Title: Trust Fundraising Manager

This is a fantastic opportunity to join our fledgling Fundraising Team and develop a trust fundraising programme from the ground up.  We are looking for someone with experience in raising funds from trusts and foundations, who is an excellent communicator - spoken and written – and who can undertake research to effectively identify appropriate prospects.  You will help to develop our case for support and develop a suite of proposals and reports that will convey to funders what Parentkind does, what the parents and schools we work with want, and how we support them.  Attention to detail is key, as is the ability to manage your time and prioritise your work.

As an EPRM you will be a key contributor to the regional strategy working very much in a one team environment whilst giving you the space to grow and develop your skills. Your role as EPRM will see you work directly with young people and teachers in schools that take part in Young Enterprise programmes such as company programme, day programmes and digital programmes. You will also oversee regional relationships, at local authority level or equivalent.

The EPRM role involves being flexible to the needs of the region and your team and to provide regional leadership. Some of the duties include, which is not an exhaustive list

• Deliver and or support the delivery of Young Enterprise programmes and services in schools, colleges, universities, and youth centres
• Work as part of the regional team to proactively identify and generate sources of local income to support YE programmes.

Why Access Social Care Exists 

Every day millions of older and disabled people are denied the social care they need. Most local authorities can’t meet the growing demand for care, and none are confident they can meet their legal duties in the future. This affects all of us - we will all need social care at some point in our lives.

We all have a right to hold public bodies to account, but most of us cannot afford lawyers so rely on legal aid. The 92% drop in legal aid cases since 2010 means that we have nowhere to turn. Without access to justice, our rights do not exist. The rule of law is broken.   

What we do 

Access Social Care provides free legal advice and information for people with social care needs, helping achieve a better quality of life. We work with communities to increase knowledge of the law and our rights. We highlight the gap left by cuts to Legal Aid and provide advice for those who can’t afford it.

With a 98% success rate, our network of lawyers provide access to justice when things go wrong. We collaborate with social services whilst ensuring legal obligations are met. We are working towards a future where social care is adequately funded and we all get the support we need.   

We provide rights awareness training to front line managers, and legal advice and support to families and individuals. As well as providing access to justice, our aim is to drive system level change through evidence-led influencing and strategic casework. We operate our casework service mainly under a membership model where organisations involved in the social care sector contract with Access Social Care to provide legal assistance to their clients.

This is an exciting time to join ASC. We have a new strategy and are growing quickly. We have more than doubled in size and income since we started operating in April 2020 and we anticipate that this strong growth will continue for the duration of our next strategic period. We are dedicated to the people who need our help, but we also care deeply about our team, and we think that work should be an exciting and satisfying place to be.

About the role

As we move into 2024, Access Social Care is launching a new workstream aimed at training more experts in community care law. To achieve our aims, we will be developing learning and development programmes for internal and external use. We are looking for an experienced learning and development professional to lead this programme of work.

 We want you to:

• Oversee the development and delivery online and in person training on the Care Act 2014 and associated legislation, regulations, guidance and caselaw.  We already have some training materials in-house, but you will need to expand and develop these for different audiences (carers, social care providers, advocates, advisers and caseworkers).
• Work with external stakeholders at academic institutions to develop degree/diploma level learning modules.
• Work closely with others at ASC and play a key role in developing the skills and knowledge of our trainee caseworkers and other new staff.
• Work alongside the Head of Business Development to develop a learning and development income stream.

Responsibilities

1. Project management of the Access Social Care learning and development offer: Working with internal and external stakeholders and using project management tools and software you will drive the project forwards ensuring milestones and deadlines are met, delivering reports 

2. Content and resources development: Work closely with our Head of Digital Content, Product Manager and legal team members to develop training materials for use online and in person on the Care Act which enable people with different starting points to understand the rights of social care users, to enforce those rights, and to understand the responsibilities of social care providers and local authorities.

3. External training strategy development. Work with the Head of Business development to develop an income stream from learning and development.

4. Training delivery: Deliver training internally and externally, online and in person, using a variety of training techniques, and tailored materials to engage different audiences with different immediate purposes.

5. Intelligence gathering: Contribute to our understanding of systemic problems in the social care and community care law systems, feeding back to legal colleagues' issues that are brought up in training session.

6. General tasks: Undertake such other tasks as may reasonably be required or asked of you in order to respond to organisational needs and specifically needs within the legal team.

The Role:

The Partner Engagement Lead is responsible for key account management, and specifically developing and supporting relationships with programme sponsors and partners within the WorldGBC network.

The Partner Engagement Lead will work closely alongside the programme/projects team subject leads, taking responsibility for day to day management of activities that relate to sponsors or stakeholders, including partner relationships, external collaborations and fundraising.

Working cross-functionally within a matrix-style organisation, the Lead will work collaboratively on the engagement pillar of WorldGBC's fundraising team alongside the Partnerships Manager and the Strategic Partnerships Lead. This team coordinates closely with all WorldGBC departments, in particular where sponsors are involved with initial focus on the programme/project partners.

Well-organised and a great communicator, this individual will ensure that key relationships are managed effectively across the organisation, and be detail oriented in their reporting and accounting of opportunities. The Lead should also be willing to represent the organisation in relevant external opportunities relating to the programmes as need arises - including fundraising meetings, external working groups, events or conferences.

The Partner Engagement Lead will report to the Director of Programmes Strategy.

Key responsibilities include but are not limited to:

1. Account Management: Be primary point of contact for new and existing programmatic sponsors and partners, overseeing engagement with the network and accounting with detailed reporting to ensure up-to-date partnership records. Work alongside the programmatic team leads to deliver all agreed benefits to partners, ensuring a uniform balance of benefits and opportunities across sponsors engaging in all areas of the organisation.

2. Fundraising and Budget Management: Work alongside the programme leads to secure funding and manage relevant programme/project budgets (with guidance from the Director of Programmes Strategy), including supporting grant application and reporting responsibilities where necessary.

3. Stakeholder Engagement (members and partners): Engage with stakeholders to ensure that our programmes/projects align with their goals and needs, working with the Director of Programmes Strategy and wider programme team to explore best practice engagement tactics throughout 2024.

4. Subject Matter Expertise: Stay current with the latest trends in sustainable buildings and WorldGBC programme outputs, ensuring the Lead can communicate knowledgeably about WorldGBC strategy and work areas as required.

5. Communications: Support communication for WorldGBC on topics related to sustainable buildings in relevant programmatic areas, representing the team at internal or external events or industry working groups and collaborating with Marketing & Communications on accurate messaging for publications and campaigns.
