The Richmond & Hounslow Methodist Circuit is looking for a reliable and committed individual to support the life and work of our group of churches in SW London. They will play a crucial role in ensuring the proper organisation and management of our finances to enable our mission.

This is a new role for the Circuit, replacing a volunteer. In designing the position, the Circuit has aimed for maximum flexibility to secure the best candidate for the role. Initially, the person will need physically to attend some meetings to familiarise themselves with the Circuit's operations and ensure a smooth hand-over. For the right person, though, there will be considerable flexibility about how the duties are fulfilled in the longer-term. It is specifically expected that the role will allow for flexible scheduling to accommodate other responsibilities, including caring.
The Richmond & Hounslow Circuit comprises seven churches in southwest London. As with all Methodist circuits, these churches function autonomously yet collaborate closely in their ministry and mission efforts. The Circuit oversees joint resources, including staff and property. Presently, it employs four full-time ordained ministers, one full-time lay pastor, and a part-time administrator. As a part of the Methodist Church, its mission is “to respond to the gospel of God’s love in Christ and to live out its discipleship in worship and mission”. To fulfil this mission, the Circuit fosters a broad spectrum of ministry within its congregations, focusing on worship but also engaging in outreach to the homeless, asylum seekers, new parents, and various other groups. The role of Head of Public Affairs and Advocacy would suit candidates who are visionary leaders, passionate about transforming education and governance across England. Key responsibilities of our Head of Public Affairs and Advocacy:
- Development and delivery of programme of advocacy and influence
- Craft and implement effective strategies to influence national education and governance related policy and practice, working closely with NGA’s chief executive and Deputy chief executive
- Maintain effective oversight of NGA’s PR activity
- Ensuring NGA positions, research findings and recommendations are well defined and effectively articulated through impactful messaging
- Ensure invitations to address external events are taken by and used to their best extent to further governance practice and our policy positions
- Oversight and development of NGA’s campaigns
- Lead of the development and, with the Senior Policy Officer, the delivery of NGA’s specific campaigns to influence policy and practice for example NGA’s Visible Governance, Funding the Future 2024 and Everyone on Board campaigns
- Managing NGA’s parliamentary work
- Establish a strategy for NGA’s parliamentary focus, driving NGA’s political engagement and related activities

Role purpose:
The Partnerships & Income Operations Manager plays a multifaceted role encompassing driving pipeline prospecting efforts, managing certain impact reporting initiatives, and nurturing corporate partnerships. This pivotal role serves as a primary point of contact for coordinating various aspects of partnership development, impact reporting, and fundraising activities.
Main responsibilities and accountabilities:
Corporate Partnerships:
· Lead a portfolio of lower to mid-value corporate donors, cultivating relationships and maximising engagement aligned with organisational objectives.
· Balance support between existing partnership management and developing new business opportunities, including mid to higher value partnerships.
Pipeline Prospecting:
· Lead the identification and cultivation of prospective corporate donors, both new and potential.
· Utilise relationship management expertise and networking acumen to proactively identify opportunities for engagement in alignment with our balanced scorecard objectives.
· Act as a primary point of contact for inbound and outbound leads, collaborating with the Communications Team on outreach campaigns to drive lead generation and partnership engagement.
· Ensure a seamless experience for prospects entering the organisation, guiding them through the employer customer journey.
· Support the engagement of targeted employers in key sectors and regions, collaborating with income generation colleagues to develop mid to higher value prospects.

Engagement Tracking:
· Develop and maintain an Excel document to meticulously track engagement levels and interaction points with stakeholders.

We’ve grown a lot over the last 15 years and our weekly community meals now run in more than 85 towns and cities across England and Wales. This role is vitally important in supporting our growth - we have plans to reach 100 Community Meal Projects by the end of this year as well as launching new initiatives that will help us support more families and children.
