About the role
This role will be covering the Channel Islands, but will also provide support to other areas in the South West of England (Dorset, Devon, Cornwall, Wiltshire, Gloucestershire and Somerset).
You’ll empower your clients to take actions for themselves or will advocate on their behalf for better service, support and outcomes, so they can live their life with Parkinson's in the way they choose.
You’ll deliver tailored information and support through a range of channels including telephone, video and email and, where appropriate, home visits and in community settings.
You’ll be responsible for building excellent relationships with healthcare professionals and other relevant agencies, as well as our network of volunteers and groups.
What you'll do:

Provide professional person centred, in depth support to clients by a range of means, ensuring the most efficient and effective use of resources.

Provide support on a variety of health and social care issues, including appropriate emotional, employment and welfare benefits support and advocating with and on behalf of clients.

Work flexibly across the service responding to enquiries through a range of channels.

Work closely with clinicians, specialist nurses and other professional colleagues to raise the profile of the service, increase depth of support and achieve improved outcomes for people with Parkinson’s.
What you'll bring:

Experience of managing and delivering individual case work, including advocating for clients and supporting people to navigate the health and social care system

Experience and understanding of safeguarding and your role in keeping clients safe and implementing organisational policies and procedure

Ability to be calm and use emotional intelligence in challenging casework

Demonstrable digital competence, with experience of effective use of a range of tools including online case management systems

The ability to build effective working relationships with others including working within multi disciplinary teams internally and externally
You must live in either Devon, Dorset, Somerset, or Wiltshire in order to carry out this role.

About the role
You’ll mobilise people to become part of a growing community, taking action to improve the lives of everyone affected by Parkinson's. You’ll lead collaboration, joint planning, shared ownership and delivery of area plans to develop a people powered movement, uniting everyone behind a common vision.
You’ll be responsible for driving forward the charity’s strategic plans, working with the vision of the community in a designated geographical area. You’ll grow, facilitate and inspire a movement of people that is supported to have a positive impact and is reflective of the local community.

About the role
This role covers Devon, Cornwall, and the Channel Islands
You’ll act as the main point of contact and support for volunteers in local branches, groups, and cafes. As part of an integrated regional team you’ll contribute to shared plans and priorities.
Working remotely and in person, you’ll provide the highest quality customer care and support volunteers in line with the charity’s governance requirements, as well as our policies and procedures. You’ll provide high quality business support to colleagues to promote volunteering opportunities and bring volunteers together in the local community.

About the role
This is an exciting time to join our dynamic Community Fundraising Team who are dedicated to providing support and advice to thousands of individuals, groups, local businesses to fundraise and take part in events. You’ll be part of our Membership team within the wider Involvement and Movement Building team, ensuring everyone who is a member of the charity has a participatory and audience-led experience. You’ll be supporting, connecting and inspiring the Parkinson’s community to get involved in the charity’s membership offer in a way that suits them.
You’ll be responsible for creating engaging email, online and offline communications for members, with members. You will oversee the members' joining process and will support Membership colleagues with the delivery of events and the day-to-day running of the programme to make sure membership upholds our principles of being simple, inclusive, participatory and accessible for all.
Your role is integral to promoting a variety of engagement activities which give members the opportunity to use their voice and experience to shape and influence the charity.
