Salford Family Partnership Hubs are places within local communities across Salford offering services and support for children, young people and families.

Salford is a trailblazer area and will become the national leader for the Family Hubs and Start for Life Programmes, making the quickest improvements to services and sharing learning and best practices with all local authorities in the country.

Salford CVS has been working with Salford City Council’s Early Help Team on the first and second years of the Family Hub work. Our role has been consulting with communities through the Seeds of Change Box and Wishing Tree project, engaging Voluntary, Community & Social Enterprise (VCSE) Sector organisations and volunteers. We also manage a Family Hub small grants scheme providing small grants to VCSE organisations to support them in delivering their services as part of the Family Hub partnership.

We are seeking two dedicated Family Hub Navigators to work across the city of Salford to improve the wellbeing of parents and carers in the following cohorts:

• Young parents
• Fathers
• Families (communities of identity)

The Navigators will work with individuals to explore ‘what matters to them’, consider their strengths and interests, and identify an appropriate activity or service and connect them to it. The roles will be embedded within our wider Family Hub work and will link to our Wellbeing Matters Programme, which supports people to feel more connected to their community, more confident and less isolated by linking them to local groups and services.

• Will engage and build relationships with VCSE organisations and Family Hub teams
• Is confident working with people using a person-centred and strengths-based approach

Action for M.E. is the only charity in the UK providing direct support including healthcare to children and adults with M.E.. We provide vital support services, campaign for change and invest in ground-breaking research to help put an end to the ignorance, injustice and neglect experienced by people with M.E.
 

Opportunity: 

Having been paused to new referrals, Action for M.E.’s free, independent, Adults Advocacy service will soon be re-opening. It’s one of our range of free Support Services that work with adults, young people, and/or families living with M.E. We support colleagues across the team to take part in and share reflective practice, self-care, peer-support and training.

Our Adults Advocacy service offers non-statutory, single-issue, instructed advocacy for adults with a confirmed diagnosis of M.E. We encourage self-advocacy where possible, though many of our clients are too severely affected by M.E. to be able to take undertake this.  

As an Adults Advocate, you will manage a caseload of clients, as well as inputting and contributing to the triage process along with your Advocacy colleagues. You will meet with clients by phone, email, Zoom and/or SMS; we can also facilitate communication by post if this is required. We are not able to offer home visits or face to face meetings.

Salary: £36,648 starting salary per annum plus 4,087.65 Inner London Weighting if based in London. (salary range will increase due to max £39,186 via the length of service) per annum (pro rata where applicable). 

Contract: Permanent basis

Hours: Full-Time 35 hours per week (excluding lunch breaks)

Location: Any Refugee Action office: London, Birmingham, Manchester, Bradford. We will consider UK- based hybrid working option. (Some travel in the UK with occasional overnight stays away from home will be required).

We Are Survivors are looking for new Senior Trauma Informed Therapists to come and join our growing Therapy Services team.

The organisation has an ambitious strategy to ensure that #NoMaleSurvivorsIsLeftBehind and is looking for new members of staff to help us achieve this.

In the role, you will help us to provide key services across Greater Manchester. The therapy team is made up of therapists from various modalities to support men and boys to access the services they need.

Main Duties and Responsibilities

• Lead peer-mentoring support to trauma-informed therapists.

• Deliver trauma-informed therapeutic services.

• Lead accurate clinical record keeping of therapeutic service interventions.

• Lead the supervision of therapeutic services waiting lists.

• Undertake specific therapeutic projects as directed by the Senior Management Team.
