The successful candidate will have a proven track record of working with senior level prospects and givers in a charitable context, as well as experience across other areas including legacies, trusts and foundations and corporate fundraising. Key Responsibilities
- Lead and develop the strategy to build philanthropic giving at EHAAT in consultation with the CEO, Executive Team, Trustees and Development Board, to support the charity’s objectives and long term aims.
- Deliver a fundraising plan across the Philanthropy & Partnerships team, including major giving, legacies, trusts and foundations and corporate partnerships, to achieve agreed strategic objectives.

About the team
The Philanthropy Team raises income for Impetus and for Impetus partner charities. The team consists of 13 staff. Impetus has an annual income of c.£8-9 million which we are looking to grow significantly within the next few years. The team is led by the Director of Philanthropy and Partnerships.
The Philanthropy Team works with major donors, corporates and grant making trusts, as well as collaboratively with colleagues across the organisation to ensure we make a compelling case to generate new financial commitments and wider support for our work. The team also deliver a high-quality engagement programme of volunteering and pro bono for Impetus’s corporate supporters.
Impetus is driven by a shared belief in tackling the barriers that hold back young people from disadvantaged backgrounds in education and employment. About this role
We are seeking a maternity cover Senior Philanthropy and Partnerships Manager – someone who is a talented and ambitious fundraiser who will join the Impetus Philanthropy Team and have responsibility for building new partnerships and stewarding existing ones.

Key Responsibilities
Philanthropy Events

Background and role purpose
Consortium hosts the largest network of Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual and Trans + groups, projects and organisations in the UK (600 members) and offers a range of support so that they can deliver vital support and services to over 5 million LGBT+ people, their friends and families. Ways of Working:

The Philanthropy Manger – Trusts & Corporate will work closely with the Head of Fundraising, Head of International Projects and Relations and the wider Senior Management Team, to plan and deliver tailored and engaging applications and pitches, securing both restricted and unrestricted funding.
The postholder will take ownership of the corporate and trust fundraising strategies, researching new opportunities, developing budgets and approaches, as well as leading the day-to-day relationship management of these important partners. You will be involved in generating vital income to fund key services, including Therapaws, Pet Refuge and Mayhew International.

As Philanthropy Manager – Trust & Corporate, you will:
- Lead corporate and trust fundraising at Mayhew and develop these areas to increase net income and establish long-term relationships
- Identify new opportunities within corporate and trust fundraising supporting an income target of c.200k from Trusts and c.£70k from Corporate
- Manage and maintain the corporate and trust pipelines, including inputting into the annual budget and monthly management account processes
- Lead the day-to-day management and stewardship of a portfolio of corporate and grant making bodies, developing tailored plans for each existing and potential funder
Ideal skills and experience:
- Proven and successful track record of working with corporate partners or trusts and foundations at 4- and 5-figure level
- Passion for working with organisations and institutional funders to deliver transformative growth
- Experience of trust and foundation fundraising techniques and project bid submissions
- Enjoyment of networking and building relationships.

We are looking for a talented and experienced Corporate Partnerships professional to head up our rapidly growing Corporate Partnerships team. Working closely with the Head of Fundraising, you will provide senior, strategic oversight of a portfolio of major partnerships while actively delivering new business opportunities to maximise income from new partners and build a strong pipeline.
Job Description
Delivering the Corporate Partnerships plan
- Manage the Corporate Partnerships programme at Bookmark, working with the Head of Fundraising to grow the partnerships portfolio within the wider strategy, driving both income and impact
- Lead a team to deliver on the fundraising strategy, line managing both our Senior Corporate Partnerships Executive and Corporate Partnerships Executive
- Manage high-value partnerships by working closely with senior internal and external stakeholders to deliver on partnership goals, ensuring a first-class cultivation and stewardship journey
- Build a robust pipeline of high-value partnership opportunities by researching and identifying new potential Bookmark corporate partners, working with trustees, staff, and wonderfully supportive Corporate Partnerships Board to facilitate introductions
- Create compelling, relevant and tailored funding proposals, reports and collateral to inspire and inform corporate partners, reflecting Bookmark’s strong brand
- Work closely with the Philanthropy team to ensure opportunities to maximise income

Work with the rest of the Fundraising team

- Work with the Senior Leadership Team, Chair of Trustees and colleagues across the charity to ensure corporate fundraising activity is aligned with the charity’s wider plans and objectives
- Use Salesforce to manage the accurate recording and forecasting of major donor income, enabling efficient reporting and KPI management
- Ensure that all activity helps to build Bookmark’s brand and is always brand compliant
- Ensure Bookmark’s ethical fundraising policy is adhered to
Person Specification
Essential
- A successful track record in corporate fundraising, including a proven track record of securing five or six-figure gifts, to meet or exceed targets
- Experience line managing individuals, nurturing their development and managing their performance to achieve results
- Demonstrable experience of growing and managing a robust pipeline of supporters, planning for your portfolio and increasing income
- Experience of delivering high value partnerships, working closely with senior internal and external stakeholders to deliver on partnership objectives
- Great verbal communication skills, a passion for presenting and public speaking.
- Demonstrable experience of writing successful, inspiring, emotive, and technically accurate cases for support and proposals tailored to a corporate audience
- An understanding and ability to build budgets and work with financials. Experience of preparing and managing reports and budgets
- Experience using of Office Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
- Experience using Salesforce, or another fundraising database
Desirable
- Experience working in a charity with a strong corporate volunteering proposition
- Experience managing a fundraising board
