Summary of the role:

The HR Officer will be responsible for providing support to the Senior HR Business Partner and the wider People and Culture team in the delivery of HR services. The role will focus on a range of HR activities including recruitment, employee relations, performance management, aspects of payroll, L&D, travel logistics and other generalist HR duties. A key part of the role will be to provide support in identifying, attracting, and hiring top talent to meet all Muslim Aid’s staffing needs.

1. Ensure a smooth, efficient and welcoming onboarding and probation process for new employees.  
2. Facilitate the recruitment process by assisting hiring managers in meeting departmental needs. Responsibilities include crafting job descriptions, posting ads, screening candidates, and conducting interviews.
3. Provide advice and guidance to employees on HR policies and procedures.
4. Prepare payroll amendment sheets for UK and International staff.
5. Assist with performance management processes and employee relations issues.
6. Support HR analytics requirements to track performance metrics.

1. Bachelor's degree in human resources, business administration, or a related field.

Post Summary

The Ace of Clubs is a Day Centre for Homeless and Vulnerable people that has operated for 30 years in Clapham, south London. It is under the Trusteeship of the Redemptorists of the London Province; a Roman Catholic Religious Congregation of priests and brothers and it is staffed and managed by a staff of lay professionals. It is a Registered Charity.

The Director leads a core staff of dedicated professionals who with the assistance of volunteers; manage the day-to-day operation of the Ace of Clubs; ensuring the efficient delivery of its range of services to its clients.

The Ace of Clubs charity has grown over the past thirty years expanding its range of support services with the help of partners:  Glassdoor (who provide housing and services advice), START Homeless Outreach Team who support people experiencing Homelessness & Rough Sleeping and the NHS who hold clinics at Ace of Clubs centre, both dental and medical with nurses visiting on a weekly basis.

The principal responsibilities of the Director:  to provide overall leadership within the organisation, the management of the core staff, regular reviews of performance both for AoC, the core staff and partners; developing a strategic plan with regular reviews.  S/he will exercise oversight of the AoC’s finances.  

The Director will also work closely with the chair of the AoC Trustees Management Committee to whom s/he will report regularly.

The key to the sustaining of the Charity’s core services is Fundraising. The Director will lead on Fundraising: identifying and meeting with appropriate funders; preparing the bids as per the required specifications; drafting monitoring reports and ‘keeping funders warm!’

Key Objectives and Responsibilities

Line Management

· Overall leadership and management of the charity staff team, working directly with staff, volunteers and centre users.

· Line management of the Centre Manager on a regular basis; conducting appraisals and agreeing ‘targets’ going forward.

· Line management of the Ace Charity shop manager; weekly meetings; conducting appraisals and agreeing ‘targets’ going forward

· Manage all staff team development, including recruitment, appointment, training, performance management at the centre, during projects and in the shop.

Budgetary Management

· In close collaboration with the Treasurer to manage the day-to-day finances of the Charity. To develop and manage the charity’s future financial strategy of the charity, including setting the annual budget and forecasts, reporting on the financial performance of the charity in conjunction with working in collaboration with the Treasurer and regularly reporting to the board of Trustees.

Review, Monitoring and Evaluation

· To undertake regular reviews of the Charity’s policies, procedures, practices, and documentation, to update and develop, ensuring all H&S and Safeguarding protocols reflect current best practice.

Knowledge, Skills and Certification Required

· Established Managerial experience of managing projects for homeless and vulnerable people, showing a strong knowledge of the homeless sector, how it works, and what the issues are facing homeless people and the charity’s wishing to support them (London based experience preferable).

· Successful long-term experience working with, helping, and relating well to homeless and vulnerable people, understanding the issues they face whilst also at times needing to be able to draw boundaries for people, including, at times, having to exclude people from services for periods of time, as appropriate.

· Demonstrable experience in strategic planning showing an ability to maintain existing donor relationships whilst developing new sources of income and diversifying a funder base, including making bid applications for funding and managing and/or completing all relevant monitoring reporting.

· Up to date knowledge of current best practice and experience in the implementation of all matters of Health and Safety, and Safeguarding and so forth, which shows an ability to manage these things in a way that keeps projects up to date and progressing with such standards.

· Experience in management tasks such as recruitment, staff management and appraisal, team building, chairing meetings, writing and collecting reports, monitoring, drawing up meeting minutes, action plans, good prioritising of work, adaptability of approach and so forth.

We are currently recruiting for a F2F Fundraising Performance Coach's. The purpose of this role is to support the delivery of excellent fundraising results and fundraising compliance standards and specifically the delivery of performance improvements in our F2F fundraisers through coaching, training, and continuous development. The role will also involve direct fundraising where you will be expected to meet a personal target.

Key Accountabilities:

• Responsible for coaching the performance of multiple teams in the region that will consist of lone workers, pairs of fundraisers to bigger teams as the income plan increases.
• Responsible for an individual fundraising target and set of KPI’s that include inspiring people to become long-term monthly donors, generating income through contactless one-off donations and acquiring newsletter prospecting sign ups in a range of locations including residential door-to-door, town and city centres, private venues, and events and more commonly on our private land, the canal and river Towpaths.
• Acting as a hands-on fundraiser who leads by example, delivering fundraising income through signing up Friends and generating contactless income whilst demonstrating the Canal & River Trust ‘s values and behaviours.
• Generating income and being present on-site to visit fundraising teams, fundraise with them, cover sickness absence, coach performance, provide training & development of fundraisers, reinforce our culture of health & safety, embed compliance standards.
• Provide phone coaching and in-person coaching of fundraisers to support meeting their targets and KPI’s and in individual cases working with fundraisers to improve their results from their current level of performance to the required standard by equipping them with the technical and psychological training to work to their very best.
• Identify training requirements and deliver on and off field training and coaching to grow income.

• Working with our partner recruitment agency to arrange interviews, send out communications to candidates and sit on the interview panel with the aim of recruiting and onboarding new F2F fundraisers into the F2F programme.
• Support the delivery of performance incentives and setting up/editing teams on Evergiving and the rota.
• Provision of daily reports of observations and actions taken, areas of success, results for that day and areas of training and development identified.
• Process all sensitive and data protected information obtained by donors as confidential and in a safe and secure manner in line with the Trust’s GDPR and Security Procedures.

The Performance Analyst plays a key role at Look Ahead, by producing reporting and data analysis which enables the organisation to deliver on its strategic plan of improving the service we deliver to our customers.
You will produce management information from a range of systems using reporting tools such as Business Objects, Excel and SSRS within an Office 365 environment. You will develop Power BI dashboards to visualise data from our data warehouse and other sources. We are developing a self-service reporting culture, and you will provide advice and support to staff throughout the organisation on the tools available.

The team comes from a wide range of backgrounds, and works across art forms and event formats, delivering work in and around the Factory building, in the digital realm, across the city and internationally. As Executive Producer you will;

1. Work with the other Executive Producers to manage the producing and programme delivery function for Factory International, effectively and efficiently, over all programmes of work across the Festival and Factory International.

2. Act as an Executive Producer overseeing delivery of a range of new artistic commissions, presentations, and other events as appropriate for the Festival and Factory International, providing support to line Producers from R&D through to presentation of the projects in Manchester and internationally.

The key responsibilities for the Executive Producer role include;
 

Producing Function Management

• To manage the staffing needs of the Producing and Programme Department, leading on recruitment, induction and training and line management of Producers, Event Managers and support staff

ESSENTIAL

• Proven experience of driving through the delivery of complex, large scale public events, installations, artworks, productions or projects, managing large teams to deadlines and within defined budgets in a busy demanding environment

• Ability to work under pressure to identify potential issues in production/delivery processes and find creative solutions

• Significant experience in negotiation and writing contracts for venues, artists, and organisations and knowledge of rights, IP, and licensing, managing complex partnerships and relationships

• Proven ability to draft and manage and oversee multiple budgets and complex financial deals

• Commitment to championing representation and inclusion at every level of the organisation with a proven ability to work with people from a wide range of backgrounds.

DESIRABLE

The Individual Giving Officer will play a crucial role in nurturing relationships with individuals, to give their donations and their time, to make a difference to the people with dyslexia that we support.

You will be responsible for creating and implementing strategies to attract, retain, and upgrade individual donors, ensuring a steady and growing stream of funding and support for the charity.

Main duties and responsibilities

· Identify, cultivate, and steward relationships with individual donors to maximize financial support and our community of supporters.

· Plan and execute individual giving campaigns, across all available communication channels to engage donors effectively.

· Identify, organise and coordinate donor and community events, creating opportunities to engage, retain and celebrate supporters.

· Maintain accurate donor records, utilising data to inform decision-making and improve fundraising efforts.

· Prepare regular reports and analysis on individual giving performance.

· Contribute to the development and implementation of a comprehensive individual giving strategy.

· Ensure activities are delivered to budget and performance effectively tracked.

· Provide a monthly report to the Head of Fundraising

· Work closely with the Head of Fundraising, Trusts Fundraiser, PR & Communications Officer, Fundraising Administrator and CEO, and liaise with the rest of the charity’s team.

· Compliance: maintain accurate records in accordance with data protection and fundraising regulations.

· Strategy: play a part in assisting the Head of Fundraising and Chief Executive in developing the Fundraising Strategy, budget and targets in line with the charity’s Strategic Plan.

· Provide support with events and admin as needed, including attendance at functions outside of normal working hours.  

Ideal skills and experience:

· Experience in generating income from all or one or two of the following: individual, community and events fundraising. 

· Excellent written communication skills with a proven ability to write compelling stories and innovative content for fundraising campaigns.

· A strong understanding of the importance of knowing your supporter base to maximise income through effective donor communication and engagement.

· Strong data management and analysis skills

· Good knowledge of current data protection/GDPR regulation.

· Good working knowledge of CRM databases and how to utilise to steward supporters.

· Good level of administrative and organisational competency

· Good IT skills with working knowledge of Microsoft Office, databases (currently Donorfy and Act!)

·Previous experience working in a charity/non-profit

· Willingness to attend events and meetings etc, for which expenses will be paid.

About the role

The Technical Expert works alongside Sightsavers’ DID-IE TO45 team to coordinate and support implementing partner organisations to successfully implement approved activities. The post-holder will liaise with partners to support effective planning and strengthen collaboration with district level educational officials, the department of social services and relevant authorities.

Advocating for disability inclusion and inclusive education with relevant authorities and on behalf of Sightsavers. The role will oversee financial and asset management of implementing partners, whilst reporting to the Country Director. The Technical Expert will work closely with the Deputy Director of Education and the Senior Global Technical lead of Education.

Responsibilities

Technical support to programme:

• Provides strategic and technical guidelines for the program, including comprehensive support around different technical training for a diverse group e.g. Master trainers, teachers, SMCs    

• Provides technical support in the selection of assistive devices, whilst considering appropriate measurements and distribution among children with disabilities   

• Provide technical support to the DID-IE consortium members and partners regarding inclusive education and the aspects related to education.   

• Provide technical support to conduct SLIP training ensuring highest quality at field level with teachers    

• Supporting consortium partners to successfully ensure quality service of the project   

• Maintaining strong working relationships with government level offices such as MOPME/DPE/NAPE/NCTB/DSS/URC  

• Develop strong collaborative, supportive, and mutually respectful relationships with diverse team members, consortium members and key stakeholders.    

• Ensure program activities are implemented on schedule, within budget, and coordinated to maximise efficiency and effectiveness

Project financial planning and execution (20%)

• Coordinate with the relevant internal and external finance teams on budget preparation, forecasting, advances, requisitions, adjustments, and financial documentation.   

• Monitoring partner activities implementation, budget spend, and analyse expenditure variances, equity and inclusion throughout program implementation

Project advocacy and communication (20%)

• Liaison and coordination with DC office, UNO office, District level Education Officials, Department of Social Services (DSS), Local Government Authorities (LGA).    

• As per the guidance of Sightsavers’ Advocacy and Communication Coordinator, support partner/s in the district to deliver advocacy activities and campaigns for the project.

Project monitoring and evaluation (10%)

• Ensure regular project performance monitoring of partners as per the guidance of Sightsavers’ country and global colleagues.   

• Contribute to monthly, quarterly report writing along with management of participant database to ensure the quality and consistency of the activities offered from the project.

• Substantial working knowledge providing technical support on Inclusive Education to promote and ensure quality education for children with disabilities.

• Previous employment in project management, partnership management.

• Experience in working with Organisations with Persons with Disabilities (OPDs), Self-help Groups (SHGs).   

• Experience in working with donor funded projects and donor compliance.   

• Knowledge and experience in project monitoring, evaluation, and learning.   

• Understanding the importance of advocacy, communication, and proper documentation.

Desirable:

• Experience of working with government entities e.g., Ministry of Primary and Mass Education, Directorate of Primary Education (DPE), Ministry of Social Welfare (MOSW), Department of Social Service (DSS) and other relevant government entities.
