About BEfriend
BEfriend is a registered charity operating in the London Borough of Ealing since 1994, and more recently, launching in the neighbouring borough of Hounslow. Our aim is to reduce chronic loneliness and isolation experienced by local people through one-to-one volunteer befriending and social events.
Role Purpose
To take responsibility for BEfriend’s trust and foundation applications and generate new funding opportunities.
Main Duties:
Trusts and foundations
● Lead on the trust and foundation funding applications which deliver BEfriend’s strategy.
● Work with the staff team to ensure that BEfriend’s work is accurately represented in funding applications.
● Research funding prospects and ensure a strong pipeline of applications at all times.
● Develop and maintain good working relationships with current and potential funders.
● Lead on reports to funders and work with colleagues to ensure reports are completed on time, meeting funder reporting requirements.
● Evaluate bids

● Work with the CEO to develop a fundraising strategy for the next 3 years and agree fundraising targets and key performance indicators

Job Purpose
The Engagement Lead is an exciting and important role that leads delivery of Babbasa’s Challenge
Programme - a 5 year programme focussed on working with a group of aspiring young people to
develop their leadership potential, skills and sense of self confidence through a stimulating and
experiential training course, delivering a social action project and participating in 1:1 mentoring
sessions. The Challenge Programme is the flagship Babbasa programme and has delivered some
powerful initiatives in Bristol to date such as the Youth Ambassadors City of Change campaign
and the ‘Our Bristol Our World’ Youth Conference working closely with Bristol’s elected Mayor.
The post is funded by The National Lottery (TNL) Reaching Communities Fund and has been
nominated as a national case study example of the Lottery’s community projects.
Core Responsibilities
● Deliver outreach workshops to young people in education and community settings aimed at
increasing their sense of confidence, belonging and empowerment.
● Deliver and facilitate Babbasa’s workshop and training activities including the recruitment,
enrolment and induction of participants (Youth Ambassadors) onto the Challenge
programme.
● Design and deliver weekly training and workshop materials through the use of appropriate
teaching, learning and assessment methods - with the aim of encouraging critical thinking,
debates and developing the ability of participants to engage in critical discourse and rational
thinking. Including the incorporation of experiential leadership development opportunities
and trips e.g. to the UK Parliament or social impact organisations with high impact.
● Build a trusting relationship (based on Babbasa values) with young people engaged - to
ensure we meet their progression outcome and identify/address any health and safety,
disability, equality, concerns or welfare issues.
● Lead a group of young people in the delivery of a social action project which develops their
employability and enterprise knowledge and experience
● Support Youth Ambassadors to engage successfully with businesses and city wide voluntary
organisations, schools, colleges and local youth agencies on the social action project.

Job Title Senior Policy Researcher for Northern Ireland

Main purpose and scope of the role:
Parentkind is a national charity and we work across all four nations of the United Kingdom and the devolved institutions and governments.
The successful candidate would be expected to support our work in Northern Ireland and have demonstrable experience of the political system in Northern Ireland.
In addition to their work in Northern Ireland the successful candidate will support the wider aims of the Policy and Research Department across the UK.
We are the voice of parents in education, we represent 13,000 Parent Teacher Associations (PTAs) and have an ambition to develop an internal parent ‘think tank’ within the organisation.
This is an exciting role if you have a passion for politics, a background in policy research and interested in education policy and politics.
The role will involve conducting research on education policy and making policy recommendations based on that research. Some research will be time sensitive and involve summarising information and presenting it in an easy to understand way. There will be longer research projects to support the charity to develop policy positions and maintain our position as a strong voice for parents in education.
Alongside the research requirements of the role, you will be expected to support our political and broader stakeholder engagement activity to make sure the work we do is understood and seen by the right people.
You will have experience of working with political stakeholders in Northern Ireland and a strong understanding of the political structures and processes in Northern Ireland, as well as experience in political engagement to promote research and policy recommendations.

Policy research and analysis

- To produce summarise large amounts of information and produce briefing material on education policy for external audiences, often at pace.
- To provide political monitoring and advice for the department, to include:
- debates and questions in the Northern Ireland Assembly
- future business across in the Northern Ireland Assembly,

We are looking for a Senior Policy & Public Affairs Adviser to join our dedicated Policy and Campaigns Team at the Motor Neurone Disease (MND) Association.
You will be working with the Public Affairs Manager, and Wales Delivery Team to deliver the MND Association's influencing, campaigning, and lobbying priorities to improve care, services, and support for people with MND, their carers, and families.
Your role will involve analysing public policy with the Policy Manager to develop policy positions, recommendations and solutions aimed at positioning the MND Association effectively in key debates.
You will communicate the charity's position on policy issues to the Welsh Assembly, Cross Party Groups and Government by writing and managing the production of policy papers, including briefings, submissions, speeches, and reports. Liaising with decision-makers and policymakers, you will develop and maintaining high-level relationships with stakeholders, allies, and partners.
Collaboration is key, and you'll work alongside the Public Affairs Manager to implement public affairs and campaigns strategies throughout Wales. Additionally, you'll ensure alignment with NHS Wales and local authorities to effect meaningful change at Assembly level.
As a representative of the MND Association, you'll engage in meetings and media activities as required, advocating for our cause with professionalism and passion. You'll have the opportunity to establish partnerships with other charities and stakeholders to amplify our collective voice.
Your responsibilities will also include coordinating communication efforts, keeping both internal and external stakeholders informed about policy developments. In collaboration with our Senior Campaign Advisors, you'll drive impactful campaigning actions at both local and national levels, and provide vital support to our Campaign Volunteers, ensuring our advocacy efforts make a real impact.

What are we looking for?
Candidates who possess an excellent understanding of the political system in Wales, including knowledge of Assembly processes, legislation, and guidance development. You will have experience actively engaging in policy consultations and delivering impactful campaigns and public affairs initiatives.
Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, are essential. Strong interpersonal, influencing and negotiating skills along with the ability to establish positive relationships at all levels and influence outcomes is crucial for success within this role.

The NHF is the voice of housing associations in England. We are the trade body to almost 600 housing associations, who have grown from philanthropic roots to provide 2.6 million homes to around 6 million people.
This role is a crucial and exciting one within our policy team and the wider organisation. You will use your knowledge and understanding of housing associations and their finances to build strong relationships with Finance Directors across our membership, and use their and your specialist knowledge to shape the financial environment so that housing associations can best deliver on their social purpose.
Whether this is making a persuasive and evidence-based case to the government for additional grant funding to build new homes, or working with sector experts on the detail of accounting, pensions, tax or treasury policy, or meeting with banks, lenders, ratings agencies, UK Finance, HMRC, and the Treasury on behalf of our members, this role is central to our work influencing national social housing policy.

· Shape and lead our policy work on key strategic issues for housing associations around housing finance – advocating for solutions and mitigating risks that affect the delivery of housing associations’ social purpose;

The successful candidate:
The successful candidate will be able to demonstrate:
· A strong and in-depth understanding of housing association finances and the operating model of housing associations (finance qualifications are not required, but a technical understanding of finance and accounting issues will be vital);
· An ability to lead the development of credible, robust, evidence based policy, including on complex and technical policy areas;
· An ability to communicate credibly, clearly and persuasively in writing and in person including to Chief Executives, senior government officials and finance professionals;
· An ability to draft, oversee, adapt and deliver complex plans for the delivery of multiple projects or programmes of work.

As Policy & Engagement Officer, you will work with the Hope for the Future team to:
- Act as constituents’ main point of contact at HFTF, working with them to effectively engage their elected representatives by supporting them through the constituent journey (including offering tailored advice, letter writing, meeting preparation and coaching, facilitation and follow-up).

About the position
The Just Energy Transition and Natural Resources programme is focused on advancing human rights in business, in support toa fast and fair transition to clean energy and zero carbon economies. We seek to promote human rights across the renewable energy and batteries value chain. We are focused on mining for transition minerals, the installation of renewable energy where the fast transition is increasingly endangered by companies’ poor human rights record and policies, the lack of investor due diligence, and the absence of adequate regulation. A just transition will be one that, at minimum, ensures respect for human rights, fair negotiations, and shared prosperity with workers and communities.
The successful candidate will help lead strategic research and analysis on the renewable energy value chain from a corporate accountability perspective. This will include generating new insights and propositions for a more just energy transition through the analysis of structural causes of corporate abuse in these supply chains. In particular, the researcher will help us deepen our efforts to embed human rights, and protect and amplify the voices of human rights defenders, as an essential part of the response to the climate crisis, and a core component of the global work towards a just transition. As the Resource Centre expands its advocacy on improving the human rights policies and practices of companies in the renewable energy value chain, the senior researcher will play a key role in supporting:
- Research on community engagement, community equity models and other forms of benefit-sharing – focusing in particular on (i) unpacking cases and recommendations for ‘meaningful engagement’ with communities in the context of transition minerals mining projects, (ii) examples of Indigenous co-ownership and ownership of renewable energy and mining projects;
- Regional teams in their work on local just transitions and evidence of corporate abuses in the context of the current boom of exploration, licensing of transition minerals mining projects;
- Advocacy towards and engagement with investors and their coalitions on our just energy transition messaging and core products - Transition Minerals Tracker, Renewable Energy Benchmark, and investor guidance;

Responsibilities
Responsibilities will include:
- Conduct and help manage in-depth research: design and help lead team in delivering high impact research and analyses that assess company abuses, policy, and practice in renewable energy and transition mineral mining sectors, particularly through the team’s core products including the Transition Mineral Tracker, Renewable Energy and Human Rights Benchmark, and resources and guidance for investors. Essential skills and experience

Skill and enthusiasm to deliver compelling evidence and analysis, handle big data sets, and design rigorous methodologies regarding corporate abuses of human rights. Able to search and identify relevant information online and offline; adept at undertaking systematic data collection to a high level of detail and accuracy; ability to generate compelling and feasible propositions for change in policy and practice that drive systematic change. Experience in understanding corporate finance, different ownership structure, investment structures in private and public markets, and/or alternative economic models is highly desirable. While not a large part of the role, experience in conducting primary research at a community level is desirable.

The Senior Local Public Affairs Manager will design and lead the delivery of our local public affairs programme, and line-manage a team of officers responsible for delivering this work, engaging public policy decisionmakers in localities across England. The post holder will design and manage the delivery of significant internal and external projects, initiatives and campaigns which seek to improve the care and support available to everyone with a terminal illness. The holder will be responsible for managing relationships with senior Local Authority and Integrated Care System leaders, and ensure local public affairs activity contributes to the development of Marie Curie's relationships with local MPs and other key decisionmakers, working with them to improve end of life experience for everyone across their locality.

Summary
- To design and implement a suite of training programmes and professional learning networks for FLOURISH young leaders in education settings (primary, secondary and FE), who will be equipped to play a core leadership role in the outworking of the FLOURISH network of worshipping communities in schools/FE colleges
- To work collaboratively with a range of stakeholders (e.g. internally - Church of England Foundation for Education Leadership, Growing Faith Foundation, Archbishops' Young Leaders Award, and externally - a range of parachurch and leadership development organisations) to embed these FLOURISH programmes in the life of schools, colleges and dioceses
- To ensure a strong link between FLOURISH and the Archbishops' Young Leaders Award in the further development of its engagement with primary and secondary schools
- To work collaboratively with colleagues within Education Team (including the Archbishop's Young Leaders Award and Growing Faith Foundation teams) and across the national church to support the effective implementation of proposals to hear the voice and children and young people at a range of governance bodies

Southmead Hospital Charity is looking for an experienced and highly motivated Marketing and Communications Lead to increase the visibility of our charity, expand our audiences and strengthen engagement across our digital platforms.
In this varied and busy position, you will play a key role in developing and implementing a communications and engagement strategy for Southmead Hospital Charity, overseeing and managing supporter communications, making our key messages compelling and our content engaging.
Reporting to the Charity’s Head of Fundraising and Communications, you will support the Fundraising team to deliver outstanding print and digital donor communication to maximise fundraising income, leading marketing campaigns planning for key areas of work including legacies and appeals.
You will be responsible for the day-to-day delivery of communications using the existing channels and develop new and innovative ways of engaging and communicating with Charity supporters, both digitally and in print. You will have an in-depth knowledge on how to plan, build, deliver and measure digital communications activity (internal and external) with a creative flair that brings content to life.
An excellent team player with a flexible approach, you’ll need to work seamlessly with colleagues in NBT’s Central Communications team to oversee the provision of accurate and relevant information about the Charity to supporters, ensuring the Charity’s messaging complements and enhances that of the Trust.
Working as part of an ambitious and dynamic team, you will have excellent written and verbal communication skills, a can-do attitude and a passion for making a difference to patient care locally. Ideally you will have experience of working in fundraising communications, preferably with knowledge of internal communications or have a thorough understanding of employee engagement.
