Job description

Victim Support is looking for a Hate Crime Co-Ordinator based in Gloucester.

Victim Support (VS) is an independent charity for people affected by crime in England and Wales. We work towards a world where people affected by crime or traumatic events get the support they need and respect they deserve.

As Hate Crime Co-Ordinator you will support the effective service delivery of the Gloucestershire Hate Crime Strategy in the County, to increase the awareness of the issues of hate crime, and to work with partners to develop innovative support for victims and ways to tackle the issues of hate crime.

The main duties of the role are to ensure high quality services supporting victims of crime in line with organisation and Police Crime Commissioner goals, to deliver Hate Crime Awareness training and to develop and manage local partnerships, ensuring the promotion of Victim Support and the rights and needs of victims of crime

To be successful in the role, you will have experience of developing effective working partnerships with various organisations and of working in a multi-agency setting or partnership team environment. You will have strong project management, organisation and communication skills and be able to maintain professional boundaries. You will demonstrate a good awareness of the impact of Hate Crime on victims. You will have strong IT skills and an excellent understanding and commitment to the promotion of equal opportunities and diversity.
