JOB PURPOSE:
- Working to assess, plan and implement our programmes with chosen education partners within the community.
- Develop excellent relationships with our third party practitioners, staff, volunteers and work closely with our trustees. You will also develop excellent relationships with relevant external agencies and partners and communicate with them when appropriate.
- To collaborate and administratively support the relationship between partner settings and Joe’s Buddy Line practitioners for smooth execution of service.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- To contribute to establishing support programmes within education settings and the community; focussing on the prevention of the development of mental illness and promoting good emotional wellbeing across the population.
- To support the delivery of mental health and wellbeing related programmes.
- To develop and promote collaborative multi-agency working practices by providing information and expertise to partners in professional third-sector, social care and medical services.
- In collaboration with a member(s) of the leadership/trustee team, the post holder will contribute to the development, evaluation and monitoring of the mental health and well-being programme service.
- To maintain, deliver and audit all Joe’s Buddy Line programme products and equipment.

Person Specification
ESSENTIAL
- Proven ability to understand the current, complex educational environment and the needs of staff and young people within these settings.
- Knowledge of mental health issues, whether through a track record of employment or lived experience.
- Proven ability to develop, implement and manage complex projects and programmes.
- A clear communicator with a track record of building partnerships and influencing partners / key stakeholders.
- Sound financial literacy to understand and implement programme budgets.
- Experience in impact measurement and reporting.
- Competent in using Microsoft 365 or similar to manage documents and shared resources.
- An undergraduate degree or qualification in a relevant field or equivalent work experience in a management capacity for a small charity or similar organisation (e.g. private or public sector).
- Ability to manage the health and safety and safeguarding aspects of programme delivery.
- Proven ability to present to and communicate with a wide and diverse range of people, including representatives from the educational sector, local authorities, voluntary sector and other professionals.
- Ability and willingness to travel throughout the UK as may be required.

This role is vital for CARAS’ presence in the sector. Our communications have grown in quality and reach over the last several years, and we now have a recognisable visual style and verbal tone. What the job involves
We're seeking an IT Support Coordinator to assist our IT Business Partner in the day-to-day operations of our IT team. In this newly created role, you'll be the go-to person for staff both in our London Bridge office and remotely.
As an IT support Coordinator, you’ll be providing first and second line support assisting with troubleshooting operating systems, applications, and network issues. What the job involves
The Policy and Health Influencing teams are responsible for using clinical data and evidence to shape what the organisation thinks and to develop solutions that drive change for men with and at risk of prostate cancer. This means working with clinicians, patients and stakeholders to interpret the latest changes in prostate cancer research, care, support and treatment which will help shape our strategic direction and activities.
As the Policy and Health Influencing Coordinator, you're key to supporting these teams. You'll have a varied and far-reaching portfolio of work and sometimes arranging important stakeholder events and meetings ensuring we're hearing from people who've been through prostate cancer themselves. You'll also help share our work on social media and capturing the outcomes of our external engagement.
In this role you’ll assist us in keeping track of and evaluating our progress in line with our organisational strategy, as well as keeping an eye on trends in the wider cancer and health landscape and reporting on them. Plus, you'll handle budget matters and make sure we have effective budget monitoring mechanisms in place.
What we want from you
We’re looking for a Coordinator who is highly organised, an effective communicator and know how to adapt and effectively prioritise your time. You’ll have excellent coordination skills and can organise others too (especially teams which are based across the UK) and have experience of creating and updating forward planners, project schedules and streamlining team processes. You’ll be able to comfortably engage with senior managers and a breadth of external senior level stakeholders. Regularly taking the initiative to drive improvements so that the teams you support can operate efficiently.
With skills in collecting and utilising data to monitor, trend, and report on activity, you're proactive in acting on the results. The Community Fundraiser plays a vital role in fostering and expanding our network of individual givers and community fundraisers. The position is responsible for:

To manage, guide and direct the mentoring and practical support which DYP’s volunteers provide to young unaccompanied asylum seekers and refugees and, when necessary, to provide mentoring alongside the volunteers. This is a senior, and brand-new role to Refugees at Home. We’re looking for someone with demonstrable experience of helping people find permanent accommodation to come into our team to assist our guests directly and upskill colleagues across the organisation to assist our guests to move on from hosting.
We have ambitious plans to increase the number of guests we host, but this is only going to be possible if we provide ways in which guests can move on from their temporary hosting placements. The new Housing and Move-on Manager will be able to fully shape the service we offer, working closely with our Placement Team Manager to understand the needs and challenges of our guests. You’ll be working with Placement Coordinators to help them understand and create realistic move on plans for our guests.
You will be building excellent relationships with housing and hostel accommodation providers across the UK to find new ways of finding ongoing accommodation for our guests. You’ll use your knowledge and experience of statutory housing duties to ensure those we host who are entitled to support receive it. You’ll be working with guests and our Placement team to upskill them on avenues to privately renting accommodation.

What the job involves
We’re looking for a Volunteer Experience Manager to join our amazing Volunteer Engagement Team! Working in a dynamic, fast moving and fun environment, no two days will be the same.
Our goal is to simplify and enrich the volunteering experience to engage a broad audience. We have around 2,000 volunteers a year who bring a wealth of professional skills, lived experience, local knowledge, energy and enthusiasm to our work. Volunteers give their time across the charity in a wide range of roles including peer support, awareness raising, fundraising events, and research funding.
As an experienced operational and people manager, your role will be focused on making it easy to volunteer and make a meaningful contribution. You’ll oversee the volunteer journey, ensuring an excellent experience in line with the Investing in Volunteers standard. In business partnering with colleagues, you’ll act as an advisor and expert on volunteering. Passionate about inclusion and accessibility, you’ll support us to increase representation in our volunteers to reflect our DEI priorities.
You’ll act as line manager to the Volunteer Experience Team and deputise for the Head of Volunteer Engagement as well as working closely with our Community Awareness Manager.
This is a rewarding role where you’ll get to meet volunteers and supporters and see first-hand the work of Prostate Cancer UK. Together we are supporting and raising awareness of the impact of prostate cancer, providing men with the knowledge of their risk and the power to act on it.
What we want from you
To be successful in this role you’ll be an experienced, successful people manager with a strong understanding of volunteer engagement. You’ll be flexible and adaptable in a changing environment; you understand our customers are individuals and organisations with differing expectations and needs. You’ll also act with empathy and with an understanding of how prostate cancer can impact it can have on people's lives.
You’ll have an agile approach and you’ll be experienced in developing and iterating person-centred processes and systems. You’ll also need to be comfortable with resolving conflict and confident in influencing others as you work collaboratively across our organisation and as part of a multi-disciplinary team.

An exciting opportunity has arisen to join the Therapies Service at St Joseph’s Hospice in Hackney. You will work as part of committed and creative team, which offers innovative therapeutic interventions and support to people with specialist palliative and end life care needs. The Therapies team works in collaboration with other clinical professionals and volunteers across all areas of the service; inpatient, outpatient and community.
This role involves the provision of rehabilitation and non-pharmacological symptom management for patients with advanced illness to optimise their independence and make a significant difference to their quality of life.
Although the post is an AFC Band 6 post, there is scope to progress to an AFC B7 Senior Physiotherapist over a 12-month period subject to meeting role-specific developmental competencies.
We are looking for someone who:
- has highly developed clinical reasoning skills necessary to tailor and adapt therapeutic interventions across a complex patient caseload
- has experience of multi-disciplinary working in an inpatient rehabilitation setting
- is skilled in the management of respiratory, neurological, musculoskeletal, and oncological conditions
- is confident leadership and communication skills

The job is based at St Joseph’s and some local travel is essential. Full support and training will be provided in all aspects of the job by the hospice. There are excellent opportunities for learning and professional development. The postholder will be accountable to the Therapies Manager.
