AAFDA was founded by Frank Mullane in memory of his sister Julia Pemberton and her son Will who were both killed by her ex-partner in 2003.
Each year, around 150 families lose a loved one to domestic homicide. The actual number of suicides as a result of domestic abuse remains unknown. Most of these families suffer significant problems including relationship breakdown, job difficulties/loss and mental and physical health issues. We help these families in many ways, our prime function being to provide families in England and Wales with specialist peer support and expert and specialist advocacy for the range of statutory reviews that will take place after domestic homicide.

This is an exciting opportunity to work with stroke survivors and their families to provide support following a stroke.
Position: S11146 Stroke Support Coordinator
Location: Home-based – North Kent, West Kent and Medway however, frequent travel will be required as part of this role (may include team meetings or other work-related meetings)
Hours: Full-time 35 hour per week post (FTE) and 21-hour week part-time.
Salary: Circa £25,500 per annum FTE (pro rata for part time hours)

The Role
The service aims to identify and address the needs of stroke survivors and carers across the stroke pathway, by providing a range of innovative support solutions, supporting them to meet their desired outcomes. A key part of the role will be to support service users and the delivery of the service.
Reporting to the Stroke Association Service Delivery Coach, the Stroke Association Support Coordinator will:
· Support new stroke survivors and their carers from hospital discharge into the community.
· Provide personalised information, advice and support.
· Support clients to make informed lifestyle changes which will help them to prevent further strokes.
· Be accountable for volunteers, so experience of recruiting, training and managing volunteers would be an advantage.
· You will have excellent IT skills and demonstrate a flexible approach to your role.
About You
The post holder will have experience/background in:
· A caring profession ideally with experience of supporting people with disabilities.
· Setting up and running groups.
This role requires extensive travel across a large geographical locality to visit people at home and in community settings. Candidates must be able to demonstrate how they can meet this requirement of the role.

This role will be essential to assist the organisation to deliver the promised funding to local areas across Engand by the 2026 deadline. The position is being offered on an 18-month fixed term contract basis.

Local Trust was established in 2012 to deliver Big Local, a National Lottery Community Fund-funded programme which committed £1m each to 150 neighbourhoods across England. The £217m originally provided by The National Lottery Community Fund to support this programme is the largest single-purpose Lottery-funded endowment ever made, and the biggest ever investment by a non-state funder in place-based, resident-led change.
Local Trust's Delivery Team is responsible for leading the effective delivery of Big Local over the final years of the programme, and ensuring Local Trust gets the right support to areas, especially those that face significant challenges in spending their area allocation by March 2026, which will often need more intensive and more bespoke interventions.

The Senior Coordinator for Delivery Support will play a dynamic role, reporting to the Delivery Support Manager, leading on range of contracts, and maintaining strong internal networks across Local Trust.
The successful candidate will have substantial experience of managing multiple projects simultaneously and meeting tight contractual deadlines. This person will be able to initiate and maintain effective and productive working relationships whilst being supportive and decisive when necessary to ensure objectives are met. As Policy & Engagement Officer, you will work with the Hope for the Future team to:
- Act as constituents’ main point of contact at HFTF, working with them to effectively engage their elected representatives by supporting them through the constituent journey (including offering tailored advice, letter writing, meeting preparation and coaching, facilitation and follow-up).
- Prepare and deliver HFTF’s core training, contributing to its ongoing development.

Key responsibilities of the Campaigns Manager include:

About you:

4. Derbyn atgyfeiriadau ar gyfer y prosiect yn y rhanbarth, paru gwirfoddolwyr â'r person sydd angen y gwasanaeth a gweithio'n agos gydag aelodau eraill o dîm y prosiect i sicrhau bod gwasanaeth o ansawdd uchel, amserol ac ymatebol yn cael ei ddarparu i'r holl bobl hŷn sy'n cael eu cyfeirio.

Would you like to join a service that makes a difference to older people in Wales? As a Regional Volunteer Officer you will help meet the Community Assistance Project objectives by recruiting, inducting, training and supporting suitable volunteers within the region to deliver support at a community level, working closely and in collaboration with local partners.
About you:
- You will be able to work with others to deliver successful projects and services
- You will have experience of recruiting, managing and working with volunteers
- You will have experience of establishing and maintaining productive collaborations.
- Be able to negotiate at a range of levels both in and outside the organisation
- You will have experience of networking
- You will have knowledge of Issues affecting older people in Wales and barriers to accessing support
- You will have knowledge of local services in the public or voluntary sector
- You will have knowledge of diversity of the cultures, environments and communities in which older people and carers live
If successful you will:
- Implement the volunteer recruitment plan for the region
- Process all volunteer applications in a timely and professional way, taking the prospective volunteers through the Community Assistance Project recruitment process
- Ensure all prospective volunteers are inducted with Age Cymru and Community Assistance Project partners across the region
- Ensure the delivery of all the relevant training required
- Provide a mentoring / buddying system for the new volunteers
- Ensure all volunteers have appropriate Disclosure and Barring Service checks prior to starting the role.
- Provide ongoing support to volunteers
- When referrals are received, match the service user with the most appropriate volunteer while ensuring a high quality, timely and responsive service is provided
- Identify and attend relevant networks, publicise the Community Assistance Project, establish community links with all appropriate stakeholders and promote the service through a range of methods
- Promote and cascade information, including real-life examples of positive intervention through all available methods
- Maintain accurate and up to date records in the region utilising our case management system and other databases, to provide for the effective monitoring and evaluation of the project
- Support programme evaluation through surveys and questionnaires
- Make onward referrals internally or externally to provide a holistic support package for service users
