What’s the job?
Working under the direction of Academic Representation Manager, you will coordinate and develop a Course Rep scheme that accurately and legitimately represents Manchester Met students and creates positive change and supervise and support the Faculty Organisers throughout the year in supporting course reps and the work of other union departments within faculties.
- You will lead on the course rep recruitment plan and training, including the delivery of the lead volunteer program, maintaining a partnership approach to delivering the Course Rep scheme, through positive relationships with university stakeholders and Union colleagues.
- You will organise and deliver events and workshops for Course Reps around particularly issues identified as relevant to their academic community and support the Academic Representation Manager with any projects, consultations or research into the academic experience at MMU.
What are we looking for?
- You will have excellent verbal and written communication skills and experience organising and delivering events, workshops or training.
- You will have experience of supporting or supervising volunteers or staff members alongside an understanding of HE issues and issues affecting HE students

About the role
This is an exciting opportunity to join the Sustrans Behaviour Change and Engagement Team as it looks to encourage those in Harlow and the surrounding area to walk, wheel, and cycle.
As an Active Travel Project Officer in Harlow and Gilston Town (HGGT), you will assist in the delivery of the behaviour change programme to schools, workplaces and community groups. The project will encourage and enable the community to travel sustainably and actively, through various initiatives, events and competitions.
Your role will include duties such as the creation of materials and communications to increase the visibility of your work, delivering activities and events with a variety of people, reporting and presenting to stakeholders, and analysing surveys and other monitoring data.
You will build and manage internal and external relationships with key people such as local community leaders, schools, businesses, local authority officers, along with all Sustrans colleagues within the region.
This role will require travel and work at locations as necessary to undertake projects on behalf of Sustrans.

This Senior Project Officer role sits in our Innovation and Practice Function. Our team’s daily work includes setting up, managing, designing, delivering and reporting on a wide range of participatory and deliberative processes, ranging from small scale, hyper-local community engagements to large, national, multi-event Citizens’ Assemblies and longer term projects. Our processes can be face to face, hybrid, or online, and often involve bringing together different groups from within the public with interested parties and experts from across government, business , academia and civil society.
In addition, you would work closely with our Capacity Building and Standards team to support their work helping others to deliver these approaches and contribute to our communications and advocacy work. We are looking for an excellent project manager, able to manage fairly large projects and task manage others at all levels to ensure smooth delivery. You will be great at managing relationships at all levels and working with others to get things done. Greater Manchester Youth Federation (“GMYF”) is looking for 3 Youth Workers (2 x Part Time and 1 Full Time) who will work with young people at their Partington Youth and Community Centre and Whitemoss Centre in Charlestown, Manchester.
About GMYF
GMYF is a long-established charity that works with young people across Greater Manchester, to support their aspirations and create opportunities. GMYF opened our first Youth Centre in Partington in September 2022 and are in the process of opening a new Youth Centre in Charlestown. We have 27 affiliated clubs who undertake a variety of different activities for young people. The Roles
The role of the Youth Worker is to be young person centred and to provide a nurturing, safe and supporting environment for the young people, building and maintaining positive relationships with them. You will be predominantly based at Partington Youth and Community Centre working with 9-16 year olds. You will support the Youth Activities Lead in planning and delivering a full programme of activities including Centre-based activities and outdoor trips, as well as supporting our outdoor adventure team with outdoor activities and residentials.

Residentials: Attend weekend residentials and events at the GMYF’s outdoor pursuits centre and encourage the young people to get involved. Support and assist with the planning and delivery of off-site trips/activities and residentials at various locations.

Safeguarding: comply with all policies and procedures, with reference to safeguarding, codes of conduct, health and safety, and equality and diversity. Be alert to issues of safeguarding and child protection, ensuring the welfare and safety of youth club members is promoted and safeguarded. Report any child protection concerns to the Designated Safeguarding Lead. Participate in Safeguarding training.

Represent Greater Manchester Youth Federation: Ensure conduct is professional and represents Greater Manchester Youth Federation in a positive manner both to internal and external visitors, working with a wide range of both local partners and community organisations.

Continued Personal Development: Commit to your own training and development, accessing available training including youth work specific courses e.g. National Youth Agency courses. Funding and support is available from GMYF to assist your continued development.
About You
We are looking for candidates who believe in GMYF’s mission and are experienced in working with young people. You should be able to build positive relationships with young people, always taking a young person centred approach. You will have some experience planning and delivering activities, and bring creative and innovative ideas about activities you could run for the young people. You should have strong teamwork and organisational skills, understanding of safeguarding, and willingness to undertake further training.
Salary & Benefits
£22,369-27,852 FTE depending on experience. NJC Grade 4-5
Hours: part-time roles 17.5 hours per week and 35 hours per week full-time role– needs to be flexible, includes evenings and occasional residentials. Flexible working hours will be considered depending on successful candidates.

Chief Executive Officer
High Peak CVS is a charitable organisation that supports community and voluntary groups across the High Peak area of Derbyshire. An exciting opportunity has now arisen and we are looking to recruit our new Chief Executive Officer.
The main purpose of the job is to ensure and deliver the co-ordinated and sustainable operation and future development of High Peak CVS as the infrastructure organisation for the voluntary and community sector in the High Peak of Derbyshire.

As Chief Executive Officer you will lead the charity to ensure we deliver a high quality service to the local community, our members and partners.
You will look at developing new areas of work within the organisation’s aims and objectives as well as seeking sustainability and continuity with current projects.
MAIN DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Provide effective leadership, supervision and management to the staff and volunteer team, ensuring that appropriate targets are set and delivered.
- Negotiate, prepare and develop applications and contracts to enable the development of agreed projects and work programmes.
- Explore and appraise potential new initiatives for the CVS, providing detailed recommendations to the Board of Trustees/Directors.
- In conjunction with the Board of Trustees/Directors plan, develop, implement and monitor strategies to ensure the current and future viability of the CVS.
- Maintain and develop new and existing relationships with stakeholders from all sectors, providing leadership and direction.
- Provide effective, inclusive representation of the High Peak VCS in a wide range of forums.
- Carry out work in accordance with all external regulations and CVS policies and procedures, developing new ones where necessary.
- Work in collaboration with the Board of Trustees to ensure the organisation meets its legal obligations, operates within its charitable objects and has good management of its financial and staffing resources.
- Report to the Board of Trustees on internal and external developments.
- Ensure that the organisation has the appropriate management systems and structures in place to carry out its work effectively and safely.
- Contribute to writing grant applications for future projects and core work. Undertake training and development as required.

The key responsibilities for the Access Manager role include;
- Champion access across the organisation and embed best practice in the work of all departments, with a particular focus on three strands – Producing (artistic practice), Visitor Experience (within MIF and at Aviva Studios), and Communications (marketing campaigns and ticketing processes)
- Communicate the FI access strategy and action plan at all levels from Board downwards and represent the Access workstream in Project Groups and at Management level meetings as needed
- Support the embedding of confident conversations about access from the start of an artist’s involvement with FI
- Advise and support FI on issues such as inclusive casting of disabled artists/performers, and representation of disability in the work we make
- To lead on the planning and coordination of access provision for our produced works and artistic co-productions
- To advice to the Music and Commercial Events teams where external promotors and clients are keen to provide accessible events
- Support and advise on the producing, maintaining and promoting of detailed access information, liaising closely with Producing, Ticketing and Marketing & Audiences
- Lead on in-house training, research and development around access best practice in all areas of the business, developing training resources and advising key departments on their application
- Work to ensure that FI becomes a leader in the field and share our work/learning with national and international networks (particularly with regard to our own international partners and co-commissioners)
- Lead on delivery of FI Disabled People’s Engagement Group (DPEG) with Breakthrough UK
- Lead the process of access auditing Aviva Studios and MIF25 venues and productions, working with Technical, Producing and external partners and specialists, including Attitude is Everything
- Manage the Access budget / explore alternate means of resourcing access for our shows.
The person specification for the Access Manager role are;
ESSENTIAL
- Strong Knowledge of and experience in implementing current best practice around access provision and disability culture
- An understanding of the Social Model of Disability
- Ability to work collaboratively, develop strategy and implement an action plan
- Strong communication, negotiation and interpersonal skills – ability to work effectively across teams and with a range of people internally and externally to drive the delivery of the access workstream
- Exceptional organisational skills with an ability to manage multiple priorities at one time
- Commitment to championing representation and inclusion at every level of the organisation with a proven ability to work with people from a wide range of backgrounds.
DESIRABLE
- Experience of creating monitoring frameworks, evaluating activity and report writing
- Experience of managing financial resources
- An understanding of what makes an inclusive and positive visitor experience
- A strong understanding of Lived experience of disability (whether through your own experiences or working with/engaging with others with lived experience)
- Experience of live event production, at any level
- Enthusiasm for training, mentoring and support of emerging talent.
