Job description

Senior ePortfolio Project Officer

Holborn, London

35 hours per week, full-time

18 month fixed-term contract

As Senior ePortfolio Project Officer, you will support the development, testing, piloting and implementation of the new ePortfolio to assist doctors in training and allied health professionals.

The Senior ePortfolio Project Officer is an exciting and critical new role for the College in which you will work closely with a variety of colleagues and external stakeholders, acting as the main point of contact for the ePortfolio project, due to go live in August 2021.

Reporting to the Head of Training, you will contribute to the design and delivery of the training and trainer programme and materials, including videos and podcasts, whilst also be responsible for publishing materials on the College’s website.

As a member of the Curriculum Sub-Committee, you will attend meetings and provide reports as required along with supporting the planning and implementation of ePortfolio project events, such as consultation and user workshops.

Degree educated, ideally with PRINCE2 Practitioner or other project management qualifications, you’ll have excellent project management experience and be adept at report writing and process mapping.

With the ability to think critically, summarise discussions, conduct analyses and prepare briefings, you should be a committed team player with a demonstrable background of collaborative working, whilst having excellent relationship management skills.

Experience of working in the health sector, for a Royal College or having a medical education background, along with a background in managing and developing ePortfolio systems would be desirable.

With the current COVID19 pandemic all staff are currently remote working.

The Royal College of Emergency Medicine was established to advance education and research in Emergency Medicine. The College is responsible for setting standards of training and administering examinations in Emergency Medicine for the award of Fellowship and Membership of the College as well as recommending trainees for CCT in Emergency Medicine. The College works to ensure high quality care by setting and monitoring standards of care, and providing expert guidance and advice on policy to relevant bodies on matters relating to Emergency Medicine.
