The Project Support Officer plays a key role ensuring projects are delivered in an effective and timely way. Rose Voucher Project Officer, Southwark Rose Vouchers for Fruit and Veg Project
The Rose Vouchers for Fruit & Veg Project in Southwark has been successfully supporting families with young children to ensure fruit and vegetables are a part of their everyday diet since 2018. As we enter the seventh year of the project, we are now looking for a new member of staff to join the 1st Place Rose Voucher Project team and support our work in delivering the project, while measuring its wider impact on families. Job Summary
As Rose Voucher Project Officer, you will be working alongside the Southwark Rose Voucher Project Lead to forward the development of the Rose Voucher Project in Southwark. Your key areas of responsibility will be registering new families onto the Rose Voucher Project, overseeing the two Rose Voucher distribution sessions which take place at both our centres, supported by our dedicated Rose Voucher volunteers, and coordinating and supporting the ongoing monitoring and evaluation of the Project. You will also provide support to our network of other Rose Voucher distribution centres in Southwark to ensure they are working in a coordinated way and according to agreed processes.
You will be a motivated individual, with excellent written and communication skills, and proven experience of working in a community setting where service users are valued, listened to and respected. Previous experience working with and signposting families is essential to ensure that our Rose Voucher families are aware of the many services and activities available to support and increase their health and wellbeing. Job Purpose
Our Bright Futures programme provides mentoring, employability, and wellbeing support for Gypsy, Roma and Traveller young people aged 14 – 25 years. We believe that increasing opportunities for young people is crucial for the future of their communities. We work directly with them through tailored mentoring and consistent support to build motivation, confidence, and resilience. The aim is to enable the next generation to overcome socio-economic barriers, engage in wider society, and be active changemakers for their community.
We are in an exciting growth phase and are looking for 2 Project Workers for the team to rapidly extend programme reach and impact. As part of the team, the Project Workers will together be involved in overall programme planning, delivery, and community outreach with a focus on skills development and employment prospects. In coordination with the Project Lead, you will develop collaborations with employers and training providers, and Gypsy, Roma, and Traveller community members to identify relevant training, learning and work placements for young people. You will work directly with young people and their families through community outreach initiatives to raise awareness as well as deliver individual and group sessions on a variety of themes and issues.
Role and responsibilities

Collaborate with Project Lead to develop skills, training and employment opportunities for young people.

Foster effective working relationships with employers, training providers, and community members to secure training and work placements.

Undertake engagement and outreach initiatives for young people and their families to generate interest and encourage enrolment.

Coordinate with mentors to provide practical employability support for young people through skills assessments, personal development plans, training/job search and signposting, etc.

Organise and deliver individual and small group sessions as well as thematic events such as industry awareness talks, campus visits, interview skills workshops, or exploring self-employment.

Maintain project administration including online database system, stakeholders and referrals network directory, and session reports.

Capture feedback and input into the monitoring and evaluation of the programme including funder reports and applications.
Knowledge, Skills, and Experience
Essential

Qualification or demonstrable experience of skills development and employment support.

Ability to foster trust and interact with young people with patience and empathy in both formal and informal settings.

Ability to deliver engaging and accessible workshops and training to young people in small groups or individually.

Ability to develop positive working relationships with a wide range of external stakeholders such as training providers, employers, or council liaisons.

Experience of planning and delivering community engagement initiatives and outreach activities for young people.

We are recruiting employment support workers for a new primary care Individual Placement and Support (IPS) employment service in the London Borough of Enfield.
Experience of employment support is not essential, it is more important that you share our passion and commitment to supporting people to find the right job for them. You will receive training on the IPS model and in supporting people with mental health issues. You need to have a desire to support people to achieve their employment goals, and the ability to multitask and manage your workload effectively. Good organisation skills are essential for this role, in addition to an interest in health, and the role it plays in the workplace. The successful candidate will need to become comfortable in approaching employers, persuading them to use our service, working with them to recruit our clients to fill vacancies and sustain employment.
No prior experience in IPS is required. The role we are recruiting for is as follows:
Full time: 35 hours per week - these roles will be based onsite/in the community 4 days per week and work from home 1 day.
You will work with clients (managing a caseload) who have mental or physical health support needs, to assist them in securing sustainable paid employment in line with their preferences. You will deliver the IPS approach (for which training will be given); providing person centred support and guidance to clients, whilst building positive relationships with local employers to enable clients to move into suitable employment. Your mission: to support individuals and families to feel safe in their homes and empower them to build new and fulfilling lives in the UK.

About the role
As a Resettlement Support Worker, you will work with a caseload of families and individuals who have either arrived in the UK under specific resettlement schemes or who have recently been granted their refugee status. You will support people in the community and their homes, which may be in supported, temporary or private sector accommodation.
In your role you will work with clients on their support plans, guiding them to identify their goals as they begin a new chapter in Lambeth. Support to our clients is holistic and will include: support to register with GP and access/understand UK health system; support to understand and apply for benefits; support and encouragement to engage in Employment, Training and Education opportunities; support to manage their housing and in the case of clients living in temporary accommodation, support to move on to more sustainable options. Our ultimate goal is for clients to feel safe, respected and hopeful for their future in the UK.
