Age UK are recruiting for a part-time Lead Quality Assessor (21 hours per week) to undertake assessments of the quality of Information, Signposting and Social Welfare Advice that is provided by Age UK Network Partners (local Age UKs; local Age Cymru Partners; Age Cymru; Age Scotland; Age NI; and Age UK); and ensure consistency in how our quality standards are assessed across the wider assessment team.
In this role you will:
* Carry out assessments on the quality of Information, Signposting and Social Welfare Advice delivered by Age UK and its Network Partners across the UK through a range of services (e.g. traditional I&A service, social prescribing, LPA etc), assessing how well each Partner is delivering against the relevant requirements of the Age UK Network Quality Assurance Framework.
* Provide written reports for Age UK Network Partners in the required format, using your expert skills and knowledge to identify how well they have met the standard - identifying areas of strength, areas of non-compliance and suggestions for improvement.
* Support the process of quality assessment and continuous improvement of services where Age UK Information, Signposting and Social Welfare Advice is given, including, * moderating reports - with responsibility for ensuring that assessors are applying the standard fairly and there is consistency between the assessors; * reviewing self-assessments - liaising with Network Partners to give feedback on how well they are meeting the standards; * following up on Corrective Action - working with our Service Quality Advisors to review submitted evidence and the adequacy of corrective action taken by Network Partners, in response to their assessment findings. * signing off Corrective Action Reports and providing formal feedback to Network Partner Managers and CEOs.
* Work with the Quality Team to ensure consistency across the assessor team, by taking a lead role in assessor training / consistency days, using these to share learning, provide updates and instruction.
* Contribute to the on-going development of the wider Age UK Quality Framework by providing feedback on any Information and Advice related quality programmes.
The post holder is required to travel to a range of locations for assessments and for meetings at the London Office which may involve overnight stays. (Although the majority of work is currently online using MS Teams, national travel is likely in future).
Applicants must have ability to access a computer, confidential workspace, key advice texts and be able to work online.
Must haves:
* Extensive and relevant experience in an advice service, with knowledge of key advice issues affecting older people in at least two of the following areas of social welfare law: welfare benefits, community care, housing.
* Knowledge and understanding of good practice in managing and delivering Information, Signposting and Social Welfare Advice services.
* Demonstrable experience of supervision of advice work. Demonstrable experience of maintaining effective case recording systems and procedures, ideally electronic.
* Effective communication skills with a range of audiences, both interpersonal skills and the ability to write and proof-read effective reports for external stakeholders.
* Ability to make rigorous, fair and impartial assessments against quality benchmarks for Information, Signposting and Social Welfare Advice services.
* Excellent organisational skills, including the ability to manage workload and prioritise.
* Good time management skills, and the ability to meet deadlines.
* Understanding of the issues affecting older people seeking advice.
* Good IT skills including an ability to use Microsoft Office, and online systems for bookings, assessing case records.
* Clear understanding of the principles of confidentiality and data protection.
* Knowledge and understanding of the equality and diversity issues affecting the delivery of Information, Signposting and Social Welfare Advice services.

A little bit about the role
The fundraising manager role sits in the fundraising team within the external relations division. The fundraising team is responsible for raising between £1m and £1.5m in fundraised income annually. Frontline’s philanthropic income complements the significant contract income the charity receives from central and local government and enables the charity to carry out its broader mission to create social change for hundreds of thousands of disadvantaged children.
Since we were founded in 2013, Frontline has leveraged its success to build committed, high impact partnerships with a number of prestigious supporters including, trusts and foundations, corporates and high net worth individuals. Our new fundraising strategy focuses on continuing to grow our network of supporters by maintaining excellent relationships with our current funders while identifying new potential donors, and at the same time testing and developing fundraising through community and events and individual giving.
We are now looking for a fundraising manager to help drive this strategy forward. The successful candidate will have experience across a range of fundraising areas (in particular community and events fundraising, individual giving, digital fundraising as well as corporate or major donors) to add strength to the team and allow us to pilot new fundraising initiatives.
Some key responsibilities include:
- Lead on developing our public fundraising income (individual giving/community and events fundraising), working with other teams and external agencies where suitable to increase engagement among our audiences and grow our public fundraising income.
- Work with and develop relationships with existing corporate supporters and bring on board new corporate supporters to grow income from this area, including through staff fundraising activities
- Work with other teams to develop opportunities to bring funders closer to our work and help inspire a culture of fundraising across the charity.
- Support the head of fundraising with the development of Frontline’s long-term fundraising strategy, monitoring progress towards annual revenue goals.

You will attend the Audit & Risk Committee and other board committees from time to time to present on risk and assurance. You will need to engage effectively with frontline and support colleagues to really understand the needs of our beneficiaries and the risks to the charity more broadly. Although the role does not have any formal direct reports, the Risk & Assurance Analyst will have a dotted line into the Risk & Assurance Manager, providing support particularly on business continuity but also on risk management as and when necessary.

We are currently hiring a Service Manager to lead multiple services across Royal Borough of Kensington and Chelsea (RBKC). You will be responsible for delivering the highest standards of service quality, performance, and improvements across your service through excellent leadership and embodiment of the values of the organisation. - Ensure the accommodation in which residents live is clean and maintained to a high standard
- Ensure all repairs and maintenance issues are correctly reported and managed through to completion.
- Ensure a provision of high quality housing management service is provided to residents.
Financial Management
- Manage the service budget and review monthly management accounts: Set budgets and ensure resources are maximised.
- Promote effective cost control mechanisms and other financial activities.
- Maintain financial management within the service.
Other
- Some of what else is included: Contract management and Internal auditing, admin, and general other duties as required.

KEY CRITERIA
What we are looking for:
- Understanding and/or experience of working with people of complex backgrounds, ex-offenders, mental health, substance misuse, challenging behaviours
- Experience of working with and engaging with diverse groups of people from varying backgrounds
- Previous experience in people management and development
- IT Proficiency, including Microsoft Office, and the ability to navigate and learn new case management systems and other types of organisational software.
- Ability to promote the service and provide outreach-based provision, with an ability to liaise and work effectively in partnership with stakeholders
- Understanding of Housing Management, including voids and evictions

ABOUT THE ROLE
We're hiring a Service Manager to join our Mental Health Stepdown service in Enfield! You will have overall responsibility of your service and team, aiming to deliver a high quality, trauma informed service to your residents. Your role is to ensure full contract and regulatory compliance whilst being a role model/leader for your team to achieve KPI's and other requirements as per the service needs.
The service focuses on care and support rehabilitation for adults with complex mental health needs, providing a total of 24 units of supported accommodation for residents who may also have behaviours that prove challenging to services, including mental health, and medication non-compliance. We support people moving from complex care inpatient rehabilitation service/acute mental health ward and (if appropriate a residential environment), initially into an intensive rehabilitation arrangement that works closely with the mental health rust community rehabilitation team.
Some of our units provide move on supported accommodation from the intensive support service and provides an alternative to existing residential care provisions. The transition allows our residents and participants to further enhance their life skills.
Shift/Working pattern: 37.5 hours a week in service Monday to Friday 9am to 5pm, you may also be required to work outside these hours as per the service requirements and needs. You will also take part in our on call service.

- Manage the service budget and review monthly management accounts: Set budgets and ensure resources are maximised.
- Promote effective cost control mechanisms and other financial activities.
- Maintain financial management within the service.
Other

The Programme Development Manager will lead the development of impactful high-quality programmes in collaboration with internal and external stakeholders. You will ensure new programmes incorporate creativity and innovation to capture the interest of corporate partners and philanthropists.
Your Role:
As Programme Development Manager, your role will be to oversee the development and writing of high quality, bespoke pitch decks, concept notes, and proposals for business and philanthropic partners. You will project manage the opportunity development process to ensure we are designing programmes that truly leverage the unique assets and capabilities of the private sector – beyond philanthropic funding – to create transformational change for children. This includes designing innovative, sector leading partnerships that emerge through a process of co-design which you will facilitate in partnership with colleagues across the organisation in the UK Impact, Global Programmes, and Fundraising and Marketing Departments.

- Identify and develop innovative partnership opportunities that leverage the unique resources and capabilities of prospective business and philanthropy partners, working closely with the UK Impact, Global Programmes, and Partnerships & Philanthropy departments to ensure alignment between partner and Save the Children priorities

The Poppy Appeal is the UK’s largest charity appeal and holds a special place in society each November. London Poppy Day stands as the highlight of this, generating over £1 million in a one-day street collection across central London. Spearheading this endeavour, you will collaborate with a diverse project team to orchestrate LPD, coordinating with Regional Poppy Appeal Managers nationwide to oversee partnership activities. Your attention to detail will ensure compliance with policies, regulations, and legislation, while implementing robust risk management processes.

In this influential position, you'll engage stakeholders at all organisational levels, securing internal support for LPD and regional initiatives. Externally, you'll cultivate relationships with influential volunteers, event sponsors, and partner organisations, maximising fundraising potential and impact.
Responsible for achieving income targets exceeding £1M for LPD and managing an expenditure budget of around £100K, you'll conduct comprehensive reviews to shape future LPD activities and partnership strategies. Additionally, you'll contribute to cross-functional projects benefiting the broader Poppy Appeal delivery, ensuring alignment with organizational goals.

You will be contracted to our London Hub, Haig House.
