As an Annual Health Practitioner, you will provide support to local health services with their SMI (Severe Mental Illness) clinics. You will be key in shaping this role as the service develops as well as providing support to the core Access Community Mental Health team. We have an amazing Action for Children team who run a good vibrant Ofsted registered nursery at HMP Askham Grange from birth to 3 years, but predominantly with a maximum of 11 children up to the age 18 months, which gives us the time and scope to fulfil our role to a great depth. It is an open prison for women in a converted manor house - a completely different environment to high-security facilities. There is even an attached Garden Centre and Coffee Shop.
The focus is rehabilitation and resettlement for women at the end of the sentences - some are mothers of young children. Our nursery team in the Acorn Family Centre provides a stimulating and fun environment where support and education are paramount for these infants and their mums.
We are looking for a highly skilled, enthusiastic Early Years Practitioner to provide a range of stimulating activities for children aged 0 - 2 years in line with the Early Years Foundation stage. You will work as part of a team, led by Early years Co-ordinator.
How you'll help to create brighter futures
- Provide individually or as part of a team, practical quality care, support interventions and range of activities and experiences to children, young people, and families, as advised and in line with agreed plans.
- Be alert to child protection and safeguarding issues and inform appropriate line managers about concerns in line with our safeguarding policies and procedures.
- Facilitating early years group meetings.
- Contributing and supporting team lead in the centre's self-evaluation and action planning.
- Preparing and supervising dedicated areas/rooms within the setting on specific working patterns through planning, managing ratio of children, provision of a stimulating and appropriate range of activities and ensuring health and care needs are met.

- Level 3 early years and childcare qualification e.g. NNEB, CACHE, NVQ
- Experience working in an early year's childcare setting or a setting working with children aged 0 to 5 years.

- Ability to keep the child as the focus and ensure their feelings and wishes are represented in record keeping.

Who are you?

You will have an in-depth knowledge of safety, health and social care regulatory compliance and supporting legal frameworks, to be able to coach, advise and mentor care and support colleagues within your designated areas. You will be skilled in embedding processes to drive quality standards, and have a solid understanding of assurance and “what excellent looks like.”. Climb are an Prevention and Early Intervention Service for 10-17 year old's who may vulnerable to criminal exploitation and/or at risk of entering the criminal justice system. We offer 1-1 outreach support and access to positive diversionary activities in their local areas.
This is an exciting role within an established and expanding service across West Mercia. There are a number of varied, practitioner roles that are set to increase. We are currently looking for a Exploitation Practitioner to join our dynamic, ambitious team.
This role will support young people at risk of criminal exploitation or entering the criminal justice system; at an early intervention level. This will be through 1-1, direct work and support in accessing positive diversionary activities, therefore reducing the risk. It will also require excellent mutli-agency work.
This role is for people with a passion in supporting vulnerable young people on a 1-1 basis, in raising their aspirations, building their confidence, working together with professionals to ensure the most appropriate, robust and holistic support is offered to meet each individual's needs. A key part of this role will be your ability to positively impact the lives of Children and Young people.
You will need to be able to engage with professional colleagues also, have presentation skills, and be able to bring people together around mutual goals.
Although the contracts are home based, there will be a lot of daily travel across Telford or Shropshire area. Although there is no specific office base, you will be part of a geographically based team and will be well supported by the management team and all of your colleagues.

Research is a key pillar of our organisational goals. We are looking for an experienced, dynamic manager with exceptional research skills and knowledge, who is interested in tackling the major challenges facing primary care.
In this role, you will be responsible for a diverse range of activities and programmes. You will play a crucial role in developing the evidence-base for our high-profile influencing activity, through both in-house research and commissioning activity externally. This is an exciting time to join the organisation in the run-up to a general election, where you will play an important part informing our national policy, press and campaigns activity.
You will also shape the strategic direction of our research and innovation programmes, which support the development of research skills in general practice and facilitate sharing of innovative practices to improve patient care. This includes management of our Research and Surveillance Centre contract collaboration, which delivers instrumental insights for the UK Health Security Agency’s disease surveillance across the country, as well as our Research Ready programme, which helps to get practices prepared to carry out research.

'Building a sustainable future for general practice'
We’re looking for a highly motivated communications professional who is passionate about supporting the growth of FoodCycle and working to help people understand the many benefits of community dining.
We’ve grown a lot over the last 15 years and our weekly community meals now run in more than 85 towns and cities across England and Wales. This role is vitally important in supporting our growth - we have plans to reach 100 Community Meal Projects by the end of this year as well as launching new initiatives that will help us support more families and children.
The post holder will work closely with the Head of Marketing and the wider marketing team to develop campaigns and plans that will get as many people as possible talking about FoodCycle’s work, enhance our visibility and become the leaders in delivering and promoting community dining.
You will have experience working within media or PR, with a track record of securing high quality media coverage. You will have knowledge of the media landscape, and the ability to craft a press release, pitch a story, work with case studies, and write blog posts.
Benefits: We offer 26.5 working days (this includes 3.5 days for the Christmas close down) plus additional holiday for length of service, up to a maximum of 30 days (pro-rata for part-time). Our healthcare package allows staff to claim money back on healthcare bills and includes access to telephone counselling and online GP appointments.
