Who we are
What is Give&TakeCare?
Give&TakeCare (G&TC) is a Social Enterprise project set up in February 2016, by Prof Heinz Wolff and Dr Gabriella Spinelli.
Why is Give&TakeCare needed?
Those who work to support the elderly will be very aware of the ‘care crisis’; an increasing elderly population and a lack of resources and funds to provide adequate care and support for them.
What are the benefits of G&TC for charities?
We believe that everyone stands to gain from this scheme. There is no risk to charities who wish to start collaborating with us, and much to gain by joining us as pioneers of a new solution for the care challenge.
How will G&TC work?
The scheme will consist of those who give care to others, CareGivers, and older adults in receipt of care, CareRecievers. Both are referred to as Partners under the scheme, as distinct from the term ‘member’, the term for volunteers registered with the charity.
How will we do it?
We are speaking to charities now and making plans to provide the service across the UK imminently. We are appealing to charities who support the elderly as well as those who support Family carers.
Who can get involved?
The number of associate charities we work with will increase as the project expands across the UK.
What we need from you?
An open mind and some time to present the project and its benefits to your charity and its trustees. A willingness to help us promote the scheme in your area.
