Who we are
Our mission at Age Exchange is to transform lives through reminiscence improving health, well-being and quality of life.
The Charity was founded in 1983 in the context of an emerging awareness of the value of reminiscence work, especially in care settings for older people. For more than 30 years we have developed new models of work offering participants a wide range of reminiscence-based creative activities and arts products.
Our Goals are to
1. To reduce isolation and loneliness
2. To promote intergenerational understanding
3. To imporve the quality of life and care for older people and those with dementia
4. To support carers to maintain their own health and wellbeing
