Who we are
Ammalife exists to find and test low-tech, evidence-based ways to tackle maternal mortality in some of the poorest parts of the world. We were founded by Prof Arri Coomarasamy a decade ago and our small team of activists is largely clustered around Birmingham. 99% of deaths in pregnancy and childbirth occur in low income countries and a mother dies every 2 minutes. Almost every one of these deaths is preventable. If, like us, you believe that every life matters, join us to find novel and effective ways to #loveanothermother.
