Amos Trust

Who we are

Amos Trust is a creative human rights organisation that seeks to challenge injustice, build hope and create change by working with vibrant grass roots projects that are developing innovative local responses to global issues. 

Amos Trust was established in 1985.Our three areas of current operation are:

• Amos Palestine – promotes the need for a just peace for Palestine and full equal rights for all who call the Holy Land home.
• On Her Terms - journeys with girls and young women on the streets as they re-shape their lives and challenges the injustice and abuse they experience. 
• Water for life – promotes climate justice by supporting the work of our partner CEPAD in Nicaragua as they work with rural communities to respond to the impact of climate change, and by developing resources that stem from this work.

We are highly committed to narrowing the gap between our supporters and our partners and we do this by organising numerous different trips to our partners, and visits to the UK from our partners, each year.

We work closely with musicians, artists and others to ensure that we develop a creative response in challenging injustice and have a strong commitment to developing the spirituality required to further our advocacy work.

We are an inherently risk-tolerant organisation that seeks to respond to proposals on their merits and their ability to inspire people. Therefore people and creativity are important to us in our work and in our fundraising.

We are not interested in financial growth for the sake of it. We want to build a movement of people passionate about what we do, who are supporting our work financially as well as with their actions.
