Who we are
Oral diseases affect around 3.5 billion people around the world, hitting the poorest and most disadvantaged populations hardest. We are a small UK based charity. All of our work is focused on delivery of training and education around oral health. We are led by the needs of our partner countries.
Our training is developed working in partnership with dental professionals, dental associations and governments in the nations that we work in. Currently we are delivering and developing training in Tanzania, Malawi and Uganda.
Bridge2Aid’s work is focused in deprived areas - especially remote and rural ones. Our local partners train community health workers in oral health promotion, and in delivering specific community-based oral health cascade education programmes. We also work to train local dentists and dental therapists to train health care workers to be able to offer safe emergency dental treatment to their communities.
