Who we are

Money Buddies is a project of Burmantofts Community Projects. A registered charity based in the heart of one of the most deprived areas of the city if not the country.

Our local knowledge and people means we understand the difficulties our clients face.

We have a wide range of Legal Debt advice and Financial Capability solutions that could ease or remove those difficulties.

We are an independent organisation that works in partnership with Leeds City Council, Councillors, other leading charities in Leeds, The Leeds Debt Forum and the Community Fund ( Big Lottery) to deliver Money Buddy sessions across the city.

Money Buddies are here to help clients save money, increase their income and advise them at times of financial crisis.

Whether they are having difficulty paying any debt, need legal debt advice or if they are not sure of what to do about their finances, we can help them. Money Buddies offer many services including FREE debt advice in Leeds.

Money Buddies are the biggest independent Money Advice Service in West Yorkshire. Our aim is to help our clients out of debt, poverty and have social justice.

Clients don’t need to have a financial crisis to get help, we are open and free to all.  Many of our clients don’t have any financial issues- they come in to see a Money Buddy to find out where they can save money on their gas, electricity, water bills and much more.

We don’t charge, we don’t judge and we don’t tell anyone. Clients safety and Financial capability is our priority. It’s important to us that they can get free debt advice and that we can help as many people in Leeds and beyond.
