CASY

Who we are

CASY was founded in 1998 as a direct response to the lack of local emotional support and counselling for homeless young people in the area. Originally a group of dedicated volunteers ran the service from a local café until in 2000 the organisation was registered as a charity and has continued to develop and improve since then. CASY is now the leading service across Nottinghamshire and Lincolnshire for young people’s counselling. We provide services in the community and in educational settings.

Our Charitable Objectives:

• The promotion and preservation of good mental health among young people irrespective of their sex, race, political or religious beliefs through the provision of a confidential counselling service particularly,  but not exclusively within the area covered by the east midland regional
• To advance the education of young people within the area of benefit by the provision and promotion of training facilities and courses

Combined with the bespoke counselling that we offer to individuals, we also deliver services and support to increase the skills and understanding of emotional health issues to parents, carers and professional staff.

CASY is also committed to creating a highly skilled workforce dedicated to supporting children and young people.
