Who we are
Challenge Adventure Group: Challenging Adventures and The DofE Award for boys age 10 and above in Knowle, Dorridge, Solihull and beyond.
As our name suggests, we provide challenging, adventurous and fun activities and the D of E Award for young people in their leisure time. Taking part in fun experiential activities enables members to develop their physical and mental skills and capacities and reach their full potential of becoming positive, active and happy citizens.
How do we do this? We have weekly meetings on Tuesday evenings between 7pm and 9pm at our base at CAG Towers (also known as Bickenhill Church Hall) and undertake weekend trips anywhere in the UK or abroad. We also run a week long ski trip bi-annually to anywhere in Europe lucky enough to have us.
We also go away once a month on an outdoor weekend trip. These trips involve, camping, hiking, staying in Youth Hostels, sailing, climbing, abseiling, ghyll scrambling in the Lake District etc. The opportunities are endless, and we intend to try them all…
We run all levels of the DofE in conjunction with our program of activities and will be launching our 2021 – 22 DofE program in October.
